Appeals Court Shoots Down New York City Gun Law

townhall.com — the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals just handed down an equally important gun decision that has additional implications against judicial supremacy. The court, which convenes in New York City, shot down the longtime liberal dream of achieving gun control by suing gun manufacturers for crimes committed by firearms.

  • Christianptriot, on 05/20/2008, -0/+6This was the only reasonable decision that could be reached. Do people take Ford or Chrysler to court when someone uses a car in a crime? No. Do people sue Jack Daniels or Budweiser because of a drunk driver. NO!

    God never punished, nor does he punish, the object used in a crime - why do people think they are so much smarter to say that the gun manufacturer is responsible for someone using one of their products in a crime?

    I would like to believe this is a foreshadowing of what is to come form the US Supreme Court over the next few weeks in their decision about the DC gun ban as well.
