whatsrequiredky.com — For the first time, Bush revealed a personal way in which he has tried to acknowledge the sacrifice of soldiers and their families: He has given up golf. Um…condescending much?

- LoneRanger85, on 05/13/2008, -12/+7Awww, now the crazy left will not be able to spin the story. BUSH PLAYS GOLF WHILE TROOPS DIE! He's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. It's great what you can do with information if you have no scruples.
- moolaismyfriend, on 05/13/2008, -9/+2Hey you let the Communist win in Vietnam, so I don't think you have much to stand on you anti-American grunt!
- whatsrequired, on 05/13/2008, -8/+3Yes...because the crazy left was picking on W for golf recently. This is just politically tone-deaf.
- LoneRanger85, on 05/14/2008, -10/+9Only because it didn't occur to you. You people would have gotten around to it. IMPEACH BUSH BECAUSE HE CAN'T BEAT TIGER WOODS!
- whatsrequired, on 05/14/2008, -3/+5You people? You think we have a secret handshake, don't you?
Besides, we don't need to go after him for sucking at golf when "willfully and deliberately misled the American public" is involved. Or torture. Or instituting a domestic spying program...
It's cool, though. Y'all got Bill Clinton for lying in a civil deposition, so we'll let sucking at golf slide. You clearly need the break. - moolaismyfriend, on 05/14/2008, -6/+5You have the logic of a 6 year old.
- DreadPirate, on 05/14/2008, -2/+11This coming from someone who claims that anyone who disagrees with him "hates the troops"? Pot meet kettle, you moron.
- moolaismyfriend, on 05/14/2008, -4/+3No it's people who vote republican like you who hate the troops, you dumb anti-American grunt.
- DreadPirate, on 05/14/2008, -1/+4*rolls eyes* And democratic groups like Code Pink love the troops ever so much, as the demonstrate outside of Marine recruitment centers, right? You really do operate in a logic-free zone, don't you?
- whatsrequired, on 05/14/2008, -3/+2Yeah, Code Pink are pretty nuts--but until the GOP gives VA funding and GI Bill benefits a hike, you'd best be careful asserting that the Republican Party loves the troops. They certainly love deploying them, but that seems to be about it.

- induren, on 05/14/2008, -4/+11If Americans as a people have any sense of history, this idiotic comment will be ridiculed for years, if not decades.
- LoneRanger85, on 05/14/2008, -4/+6Thank you digger kids. You have proved once again that you do not have the maturity, nor the intellectual capacity to discuss an issue without personal attacks. Grow up.....you people.
- whatsrequired, on 05/14/2008, -2/+4No, thank YOU, Lone Ranger, for resorting to ad hominem attacks. Thank YOU.
- induren, on 05/14/2008, -2/+6Hi, so, your comment was a personal attack on me, which I feel I should respond to. I rarely do it, but since the irony of your explicitly personal attack on me, centered about my posted "personal attack" was so blinding, I decided to respond. This is one of those, "let them eat cake," moments, when a leader shows how absolutely out of touch he or she is with the public, or with reality. Marie Antoinette herself might have laughed at the silliness of the golf statement. My comment points out that history remembers such statements. The golf statement is an iconic statement, in line with other such statements made by leaders over the years. And yes, it should be ridiculed for years as a lesson to our younger ones, "Don't you dare say something like this, lest you be perceived as unable to understand issues of state." By the way that's why we teach the, "let them eat cake," statement to our youngins. For future reference, when accusing someone of a logical fallacy, or error, please do not commit the same error, especially in a more explicit and obvious fashion, in your accusatory statement. It doesn't bolster your case. Good day to you sir or madam.
- whatsrequired, on 05/14/2008, -2/+2Induren, I wanna have your babies.
- induren, on 05/14/2008, -2/+1Whatsrequired, you are far too kind. But since you essentially stated what I did in such an encapsulated form, and did it 9 minutes faster than me, it is I who should be having your babies. Whatsrequired, I wanna have your babies!

- MadKennyP, on 05/14/2008, -3/+6Bush takes us to war against the wrong country, resulting in the unnecessary deaths of 4,000+ brave troops. And his ONLY sacrifice is that he gave up golf. Pathetic.
- gizzymo, on 05/14/2008, -4/+4In other news, the President has a back problem and has found a way to try and get some good press out of it....
- IrishJoe, on 05/14/2008, -4/+5Give him a break, he also stopped having caviar and pate de foie gras on Cheetos as a mid afternoon snack. He’s really sacrificing for the 4000 plus US Service Members killed in combat and 30,000 plus wounded in Iraq. /sarcasm
"Bring 'em on!" -President George W. Bush (who won’t attend funerals of our fallen troops) to insurgents targeting those troops. - yellowcakewalk, on 05/14/2008, -4/+6As if he did not suffer enough during his service in Vietnam:
http://www.awolbush.com - Jade10145, on 05/14/2008, -1/+6Good to see that this man is making strides in the name of killed soldiers. Perhaps he could of just not of gotten into the war in the first place. What a douchebag.
