Angry Clinton Supporters Start Rallying For McCain Online
blog.wired.com — They're mad as hell, and Hillary Clinton's supporters aren't going to take it anymore. Some Clintonites are so mad about Barack Obama's Tuesday victory that they've launched a web site to build support to launch a lobbying group to support Republican John McCain.

- h1forlife, on 06/04/2008, -7/+7Damn Rednecks.
- amishnet, on 06/05/2008, -5/+3It cracks me up... McCain's base is, IN REALITY, Clintonites. Wonder when the GOP will notice?
- Qong, on 06/05/2008, -0/+1I disagree. It's more the fact that good and honest people know the difference between right and wrong. They know that one candidate is capable of leading our country, while the other is not. They know that one candidate is a lying politician; while the other openly speaks his mind, even if he knows that his own party is going to disagree with him.
When is the last time that you heard Obama disagree with the Democratic party? Never.
Vote for McCain in November. He's a good guy.
- csonger, on 06/04/2008, -8/+5This is just misguided anger.
The policy differences between Obama and Clinton are so small -- and the differences between both of them and McCain are so large -- that being willing to vote for Clinton, but not Obama, is just nutty.
Of course one could make the argument "well, I just don't like that Barack Obama." Bush got elected on his likability, and we all know how that turned out. - m4532v, on 06/04/2008, -7/+5Wow. What sense does this make? You have to ask yourself why anyone would do this.
- erinkabbash, on 06/04/2008, -8/+2Jealousy: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jealousy
- BrainTanned, on 06/04/2008, -4/+6This isn't jealousy. This is Clinton's base.
- stan205, on 06/04/2008, -8/+2I'd have to say, the flash buttons and banner designs really enthrall me to join their cause. The flames on the comment page just scream, "I'm awesome please post a comment." /sarcasm
Did you notice the comments are censored? From the site, "Please bear with me, I have to post each comment manually - If you have something to say in Obama defense and not rip us, with your name calling, then I will post it, otherwise I will trash it. Ed With all the hate email I am getting from the Obama supporter, we must have touched a raw nerve. Keep sending it, I need to laught every so often so I won't cry" http://www.hcsfjm.com/commments.html
You have to love the grammar and spelling. Is this a joke? - amishnet, on 06/05/2008, -7/+2It won't save McCain. All the true Republicans are bailing.
- SQLDigger, on 06/05/2008, -2/+2"But I'm a Republican, and I'm not bailing."
"Then you're no true Republican!!!" - Qong, on 06/05/2008, -0/+1Well, I'm an Independent and I'm not bailing.
- SQLDigger, on 06/05/2008, -2/+2"But I'm a Republican, and I'm not bailing."
- SQLDigger, on 06/05/2008, -7/+3Well, too bad they won't have Ann Coulter's backing . . .
- anubis2night, on 06/05/2008, -7/+3Hmm it's hard to tell if they are just sore losers, racial and hiding behind Clinton or if they are just a Bush and Co. plant to deflect disgruntled Clintonites away from Obama. Whatever the case is I blame Hillary for not conceding earlier when she knew she didn't have a chance. This is what many of us expected and yet she couldn't be gracious to a party that has long support her and her husband thru so much drama that it eventually gave us Bush for 8 years. If we end up with a republican in the White House again it will be the Clinton's fault all over again...
- phatphat, on 06/05/2008, -5/+7The obamabot reaction to this is good for a laugh: "zOMG! You meant they weren't kidding?"
There were 18 million people who voted for Clinton, did you really think they were just going to sit back and let the DNC steal the primary with no repercussions? - InnerGypsy, on 06/05/2008, -3/+5Aw man, I think this is just terrible. There are better ways to demonstrate to Howard Dean and the DNC that you are angry about Hillary's treatment than to vote for John McCain, my gosh the man is going to keep us in Iraq for 100 years! Don't cut off your nose to spite your face. Write Hillary in if you feel so strongly! Voting FOR something is much stronger than voting AGAINST something.
Personally, I liked Kucinich. He was pegged as a tiny veggie freak who believed in UFOs. And everyone had a good laugh, and no one objected to the media's characterization. Call me crazy, but I still plan on voting for him, because to me, he's the best candidate. - unlawflcombatnt, on 06/05/2008, -1/+3Obama is more of a Corporatist than McCain, more in cahoots with banks & Wall Street financial gangsters, and even more of an open-borders and free trade advocate than McCain.
At least McCain doesn't want to bail out Wall Street investment banks and housing speculators with taxpayers' money.
And McCain cannot keep us in Iraq, without the collusion of Democrats in Congress. - Qong, on 06/05/2008, -1/+3Great article, this is without a doubt the reality that Barack Obama and his followers are going to have to deal with.
I know that this may be news to some of you Obama followers, but you can't win through caucuses in the General Election. You're going to have to get real votes from real Americans, and not only that, you're going to have to keep the latte vote entertained until the election so they don't bail on you for the latest Mac Book. - dn11, on 06/06/2008, -1/+1go and vote for the crap candidate that not even the republicans wanted. great idea!
- roosevans, on 06/06/2008, -0/+2Despite the media hype and the flawed Democrat proportional delegate system, Barack Obama does not have a "mandate" from Democrat voters. This was a very close primary election, where race played a big factor because many voters voted for Obama strictly because of his race and many voters voted for Hillary, strictly because of her race. The latter voters are going to John McCain. Had Hillary won, many of those who voted for Obama simply wouldn't have voted in the general election. Barack Obama taking so long to disassociate himself from Rev. Wright and his "black liberation" theology alienated many white voters, in my opinion. I am a black American that supported Hillary Clinton. I will be voting for Barack Obama in the general election primarily because he is a black American and "the lesser of two evils" between himself and John McCain.
- transparancy, on 06/06/2008, -0/+1Clinton traitors should talk to Bush supporters who now regret their vote and mourn the death of our soldiers whom they feel partially responsible for. Obama is the only hope we have to get our Democracy and Constitution back.
- bitfreak, on 06/07/2008, -0/+1I guess voting for a guy who will send more Americans home in boxes is okay with these angry Clinton supporters. I'm sure some grieving mothers will understand that logic....WTF?
- Platina, on 06/08/2008, -0/+1Just go to their webpage and vote for Obama. Hehe, please:)
- womensgroup, on 06/13/2008, -0/+1You go for it - er ladies? And make sure you can pay for your milk and shoes for your kids at the end. You are being used! Do a google search if you want the truth because it will be coming your way. Some suggestions might be So try your google before anymore of the troops get killed .....find out the truth before you hand over money. I believe you will be a bit surprised.
