Sorry Simon I will not watch American Idol anymore. You got rid of the best money potential for more commercial and for history. You should listen to the women.
- archiebunker11, on 04/18/2008, -0/+0This week's American Idol show was a tribute to Mariah Carey and her songs. Over 35 million votes were cast for the seven remaining would-be stars. David A. was first up with "When you believe". Nothing spectacular, but ok. Carly next sang her version of "Without You". She appeared unsure of herself. The result was quite a disappointment. Syesha then did a very good rendition of” Vanishing". That young lady is going to be big someday. Brooke butchered "Hero". She is not long for the show. Kristy Lee was next up with "Forever". Although some have felt she was getting better as the series progressed, her performance this week proved them wrong. She was definitely in trouble. David C. then gave what proved to be the best performance of the evening with his version of "Always Be My Baby". Jason finished up with an adequate "I Don't Want To Cry".
Ok, the performances are finished and here's where the show got a bit surreal. Carly, Syesha, and Jason were moved to the right. Kristy, David Cook, and Brooke were moved to the left. And poor David Archuleta was in the middle all by himself. Mariah was introduced and did her thing. Then David A. is sent back stage only to be quickly called back out as he was announced to be "safe". The remaining six are made to play "musical chairs" (pun intended) before Kristy is given the boot.
So, on we go to next week.
