- bluevillage, on 10/13/2008, -10/+95Hillary's a much better campaigner for others than for herself. She's serious and therefore much more credible. This is the Hillary I always admired and respected.
- hakkairu, on 10/13/2008, -17/+93Finally. Hillary is doing something good :D
- purag66, on 05/13/2009, -7/+82You guys catch her other quote? "The middle class isn't fundamental to John McCain--it's ornamental."
I think Hillary gives the best one-liners in the DNC. - peace1970, on 10/13/2008, -11/+62Great quote....Go Hillary, go Barack, go Biden!!!!
- inactive, on 10/13/2008, -9/+51see that makes me crazy...i was pretty sure I could just go ahead and hate her forever and she ups and does a thing like that...good for you clintons!
- Philly526, on 10/13/2008, -10/+48Fired up! Ready to go!
- wizardfire, on 10/13/2008, -9/+37I hope they will keep it up.
- GordonFree, on 10/13/2008, -7/+32But there's always the angry mob that wants another Republican in power. Against all odds and logic - there are some who are blind and stupid enough to STILL think Republicans are better for the economy, foreign policy, and whatever you can name.
We should split the country in 2, give it 10 years and see which half will start crossing the border to save their families from a total meltdown. - dirtypenguin, on 10/13/2008, -1/+24"Clinton has headlined more than 50 events for Obama and has raised $10 million for his campaign since suspending her own presidential effort in June."

I'm not a huge HC fan, but she knows whose going to butter her bread over the next four to eight years. - ThsGuyRightHere, on 10/13/2008, -13/+36Clinton 2016 perhaps? It's either that or Stewart-Colbert...
- womensgroup, on 10/13/2008, -11/+32Fantastic!
- VitriolAndAngst, on 10/13/2008, -6/+27A comment about the Usual comments of "HuffPo spam."
Quoting the AP is about the same as Quoting HuffPo -- they aggregate stories from elsewhere. Are you actually saying that Hillary did not say these things? It's on video, right? If they lie all the time, then it should be easy to catch them like we do every week with Fox News. Right? Where are the damn errors folks?
HuffPo gets on Digg a lot because they;
A) Have a digg button on stories.
B) Break a lot of news.
C) Reference REAL sources.
D) are from a stated Liberal bias but are not spinning news stories like that rag that Drudge puts out.
>> If people have a problem with HuffPo -- please link to articles that show they are lying. I'd discard them if I thought that. But more or less, they are a news aggregator and only break with articles written by authorities on various topics. You can have a problem with Opinions -- but again, people are not lying about their own opinions either.
Oh, but the AP newswire is now owned by a person who is known for slanting the news and this bias is not obvious -- so AP Newswire is a little bit less trustworthy than it used to be. Propaganda being more profitable than Info-tainment. You can't sell resource wars without misinforming people. - JMellissa, on 10/13/2008, -6/+25I hope the election actually WORKS this time. All GWBush has to do is declare Martial Law and he can stay in office just about indefinitely. Further, the GOP stole the last two elections (there is now evidence of election fraud, especially in the electronic voting machines), so why would they stop now?
I will vote for Barack Obama because I think he is the best man for the job (that actually made it to the finals) and because I believe he can be trusted.
I would love to have been able to vote for Ron Paul and/or Dennis Kucinich, both of whom are great candidates who can be trusted. - ericjohnson0, on 10/13/2008, -9/+25Actually, I must admit that it is good to see unity in the Democratic party.
Here is a clip of them working on pulling the party back together and getting their issues out in the open... good stuff.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dJrBhtnQ42U - vipero00, on 10/13/2008, -2/+17The reason? Voters are stupid! They will base their votes on campaign adds and biased bloggers. They know jack ***** about economics. Thats why we have two large government candidates to choose from this cycle. Both the left and the right are full of stupid voters.
- FredFredrickson, on 10/13/2008, -4/+18Maybe because, up until about 3 weeks ago, McCain thought everything was fine with the economy?
- tkstock, on 10/13/2008, -0/+14Hilarious!
"We are the ones we've been waiting for!"
Classic! - Rotzooi, on 10/13/2008, -17/+30Hillary on the Supreme Court ASAP
- pintomp3, on 10/13/2008, -6/+19there is a difference. republicans think america is great for bombing brown people all over the world and protecting corporate interests. democrats think america is great for taking care of it's people.
- TTURabble, on 10/13/2008, -0/+12Bill Clinton?
- ErickStevenson, on 10/13/2008, -1/+12lol same people that still support McCain who is going to be continuing what Bush started. Some people just doesn't learn.
- theNazz, on 10/13/2008, -7/+18Why did anybody trust G.W. after the mess his dad left when his term ended? G.W. Bush should have never even been considered for the White House... yet, there is has been for the last seven years. America is dead and waiting to be buried.
- acroyear2, on 10/13/2008, -9/+19She's done lots of good.
- cluckinchicken, on 10/13/2008, -4/+14Colbert-Stewart
- b4cheung, on 10/13/2008, -3/+12Scranton, Pennsylvania ? Michael Scott?
- fuckingusername, on 10/13/2008, -6/+15good now they can proceed in the war crimes aginst Bush and his Regime .
Oh thats right he will retire to his billion dollar home . - vipero00, on 10/13/2008, -1/+10Actually we should restore the constitution and split the country into 50 states not one humongous monolithic conglomerate. Then peeps could vote with their feet. The most important vote of all.
- zadadka, on 10/13/2008, -0/+8As a Brit, I kinda feel sorry for whoever is elected, since the great nation they'll inherit is in bad shape, the road ahead looks mostly uphill, and everyone will be looking for the "quick fix" that isn't available....so guess who'll get blamed?
(rhetorical question)
Those of you with your eyes on the ball will already be aware that non-military export balances will soon tumble, and the cascade effect on unemployment and Chapter 11s etc will be just gut-wrenching over the next 6-12 months.
(and that's just based on what the incumbent administration allows us to see....lord knows what deficit-spiralling cookery will be found in the books later)
C'mon my Yank friends, squabble over the little things....the big things need everyone's collaboration.
I didn't want to say "now more than ever"....but unfortunately... it is true.
Personally, I really hope Obama gets there... McCain is clearly less capable of forward-thinking than Bush is (and that assumes he's not the Bush puppet he appears), and you guys desperately need a new course and direction, not an autopilot stuck on an already demonstrated as dysfunctional tack.
I'm not saying Obama will be perfect or whatever, but of the two candidates, he's really the only game in town.
Good to see Hilary out with her ra-ra skirt and pom-poms at last, though. - PabloMac, on 10/13/2008, -2/+10More like: "America Can Rise Again 'From The Ashes Of The Federal Reserve"
http://digg.com/political_opinion/Lincoln_JFK_Assa ... - trafficlight, on 10/13/2008, -6/+14At least the Democrats seems to be on the same page for once.
- VitriolAndAngst, on 10/13/2008, -2/+9Funny how you don't get that "we can rise out of the ashes."
Recognizing that we are in bad shape is the first step. - Skywise, on 10/13/2008, -1/+8Of course it will. Just like the "disastrous" homeless "crisis" and economic "crash" of 1992 and America's impending doom virtually disappeared January 15, 1993.
So will all of America's problems disappear if Obama wins on January 15, 2009... - Wryly, on 10/13/2008, -6/+12Now THERE'S a girl with talent.
- ironhide, on 10/13/2008, -3/+9So wargalas, do you support privatizing the police and fire departments? Also schools and road maintenance? I also find it interesting that you don't like universal healthcare but seem to be ok with universal wiretapping.
- ironhide, on 10/13/2008, -3/+9Different reasons, Wargalas. The Republicans seem to forget that the country is it's people not it's government. It's not the Democrats who bleat "America hater"! when someone criticizes the government.
- ericdano, on 10/13/2008, -8/+14Not true. Congress and the Senate (which Hillary is a member of) are equally responsible for all the problems going on. Changing out Congress would actually be a better plan.
- mstrebe, on 10/13/2008, -3/+9Totally not true. Republicans are fine with bombing people of all colors.
- VoteHillary, on 10/13/2008, -4/+10I hope america can rise, but the dept is soooooo big. There is no money left. Obama will find such a mess in the white house when he gets there
- ryan850, on 10/13/2008, -1/+7Hillary has done much more than any other presidential candidate that didn't get the nomination... I wasn't a huge hillary fan but why do people keep saying things like "it's about time". What has John Edwards done, or any other dem. candidate?
hmmm although she did do the most damage to him as well....
ok i see your point.. i'm posting this anyway.. DIGG me up you know this post blew your mind! - Turambar, on 10/13/2008, -1/+6We'll be needing tinfoil suits for when they deploy that microwave crowd dispersal weapon on our peaceful protests. I'd start getting some ready for sale, you'll make a killing!
- inactive, on 10/13/2008, -0/+5Obama was personally responsible for the economy crash. He hijacked it with a box cutter because his religion is Hijackslam, or something like that. Fox News told me, they're never wrong.
- Kabloink, on 10/13/2008, -1/+6The election of Obama will give people hope for a better future. That hope will result in higher consumer confidence and higher spending. So much of peoples willingness to spend is dependent on how they perceive the future.
I do hope the election is decided long before inauguration day. Preferably on November 4th instead of January 15th.
- ironhide, on 10/13/2008, -2/+7NorthMass, why do you assume that ALL the members of either party are corrupt. Are you not also generalizing?
- thenumbertoo, on 10/13/2008, -0/+5true title
- inactive, on 10/13/2008, -1/+6If the Democratic controlled Congress has such a terrible approval rating, doesn't that mean that Democratic voters are unhappy with congress as well? They aren't blindly supporting congress so where does your kool-aid ***** fit into this?
- NorthMass, on 10/13/2008, -1/+6It is quite unfortunate that both parties are corrupt. It is revolting to be quite honest.
- inactive, on 10/13/2008, -1/+6They also planned the holocaust i hear...
- VitriolAndAngst, on 10/13/2008, -4/+8LOL.
- stevehallmlm, on 10/13/2008, -3/+7Ya Baby, Go Obama!!
- inactive, on 10/13/2008, -0/+4@lajaw
Your dear Republican friends just passed the largest socialist bill in America's history.
Who's the socialist again?
