All Three 3 Candidates Will Greatly Increase Deficit
nytimes.com — The Republican and Democratic presidential candidates differ in their approaches to taxes and spending, but their fiscal plans have one thing in common: each could significantly swell the budget deficit and increase the national debt by trillions of dollars. Before voting, look at your children and realize they will be paying these bills.

Probably Hillary, but any of the three will grow the deficit by another 2 Trillion to well over 11 Trillion dollars and then we enter into the demographic black hole where we will have millions more Americans collecting Medicare and Social Security while millions less are paying taxes. The income of the middle class is going down, they cannot accept more tax burden. What with our globalized economy, if we increase taxes on the wealthy, their income will simply not occur in this country.
It is economic collapse that brings empires down. Only one candidate spoke honestly about the crisis that we face.
Write in his name - Ron Paul- JigoroKano, on 04/28/2008, -1/+1"They estimate that, even taking into account that there are some differences between the proposals by Senators Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama, the impact of either on the deficit would be less than one-third that of the McCain plan." --FTA
You idiots don't read anything do you.- caferrell, on 04/28/2008, -0/+1Consider the source, compare their present position with positions they have taken in the past, read the opinions of other sources that do not agree with the first and consider their agenda and track record as well. Then make a determination based on all of that information.
So Jigoro, I would like to tell you that, no, I am not an idiot and that I read widely and deeply. Do you?

- billyjack1958, on 04/27/2008, -3/+20Any vote not cast for Ron Paul is a vote cast for the destructive status quo....Period.
- caferrell, on 04/27/2008, -1/+11So, who will change the status quo? Hillary?
Obama has an idea to change the way Washington works, but that won't happen by finessing the system, it can only happen if he were willing to deconstruct the all-prevasive state, and he is not willing to do that. The system will simply absorb him and his efforts, valiant and well intentioned as they may be, will be small and ineffectual and will be held up by the minions of the entrenched powers as evidence that things have changed.
We need major surgery, not antibiotics.
Enough votes for Ron Paul will signal to thoughtful Americans that a radical alternative may be possible. - caferrell, on 04/27/2008, -1/+7Sorry billyjack, I didn't see the "not" in your comment... duh
- madwaxer, on 04/28/2008, -0/+2more bedt won't matter when the dollar is being dumped faster than stocks.
its always been sad that american citizens are so attached to the media for how they behave on where to put their money.
the dollar has never really been worth anything without oil backing. now that oil is being traded in other currencies its true face is showing.
bty the sale of oil in other currencies is on a rapid increase to hold its vale. its the dollar's value which is dropping.
unless there is some kind of mass release of patents on energy producing gear the country is screwed.
if i could afford it i'd by a boat and live a quiet life on the sea.

- Look4Truth, on 04/27/2008, -2/+19They're all globalists who will further the destruction of this nation, makes no difference which of the three is voted for.
- lucidguru, on 04/27/2008, -0/+9America the bankrupt... Don't worry folks, the dollar is already in a free fall... China and Japan will slowly but surely call in their loans and the dollar will see hyperinflation... we are past the point of no return. The 2008 election really doesn't mean anything... the real change will be the self destruction of our government when they can no longer manage the people...
- brad3378, on 04/27/2008, -0/+4Agreed - my strategy has shifted to profiting from the collapse. Unfortunately, it's easier said than done.
The stock market seems so volatile right now I'm not sure I have to stomach to handle the ride despite the potential opportunities.

Manage the people? I totally disagree! It is not the government that is suppose to manage the people! That is the issue and too many Americans think that it is the GODvernments job to manage the people. No disrespect intended. Let me provide people with a little history and maybe from this WE the people can see why we the people are where we are at today.
The Founders were extremely knowledgeable about the issue of democracy and feared a democracy as much as a monarchy. They understood that the only entity that can take away the people's freedom is their own government, either by being too weak to protect them from external threats or by becoming too powerful and taking over every aspect of life.
They knew very well the meaning of the word "democracy", and the history of democracies; and they were deliberately doing everything in their power to prevent having a democracy.
In a Republic, the SOVEREIGNTY RESIDES WITH THE PEOPLE THEMSELVES. In a Republic, one may act on his own or through his representatives when he chooses to solve a problem. The people have no obligation to the government; instead, the government is a servant of the people, and obliged to its owner, We the People. Many politicians have lost sight of that fact.
A Constitutional Republic has some similarities to democracy in that it uses democratic processes to elect representatives and pass new laws, etc. The critical difference lies in the fact that a Constitutional Republic has a Constitution that limits the powers of the government. It also spells out how the government is structured, creating checks on its power and balancing power between the different branches.
The goal of a Constitutional Republic was to avoid the dangerous extreme of either tyranny or mobocracy but what exists in America today is a far cry from the Constitutional Republic our forefathers brought forth.
Today we have DO have a mobocracy occurring in our streets all across America. Sadly, such mobocracy or 'mob rule' was endorsed and encouraged by Sen. John McCain who praised the recent wave of pro-illegal immigration demonstrations by saying . . . "if the protesters hang tough they will succeed in forcing Congress to liberalize immigration laws. If such demonstrations continue, I think we will have a bill for the President to sign soon . . . The more debate, the more demonstrations, the more likely we will prevail.' He was of course referring to the Senate's massive illegal-alien amnesty bill S. 2611 which did in fact, pass. Was S. 2611 passed to appease the mob? If so, it is a perfect example of rule by mobocracy!
Article IV Section 4 of the Constitution states: "The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion . . .
REMEMBER: Patrick Henry declared: "Guard with jealous attention the public liberty. Suspect every one who approaches that jewel. Unfortunately, nothing will preserve it but downright FORCE. Whenever you give up that force, you are ruined .... The great object is that every man be armed."
