Alberto Gonzales Heckled At University Of Florida Speech

thinkprogress.org — Former Attorney General Alberto Gonzales delivered his $40,000 speech at the University of Florida last night. Gonzales’ first stop on a nationwide college speaking tour got off to a very rocky start, as he had to endure shouts of “criminal” and “liar” throughout his speech.

    All seriousness aside, this guy said before the Senate confirmation hearing that he didn't think Habeas Corpus was a guaranteed liberty provided in the Constitution. yet he still got Senate confirmation for his job.

    What does that say about our democracy?

Generally, he's got a private flight to/from the city ( I don't really see Gonzales flying commercial air and subjecting himself to the TSA, like any other American ), limo/tahoe service for him and his entourage. First Class suites to freshen up in/stay the night. Meals, etc, and a charter air flight back home.

    I'd suspect we're looking at at least 250,000 in expenses by the time it's all said and done.

    I was then twice outraged when I heard that money from my own tuition was going to pay for the second largest disgrace to UFs image in this year, just couple of months after the well known taser incident...
