"Ohhh boys. I got some bad news for ya. Again, it's not good. Also. What's the point of a dog-gone delete button if it don't delete?!?!" - nc1024, on 10/11/2008, -1/+75Abuse of power and dereliction of duty---can you say guilty?

Palin = TrooperGate
This country deserves better:
Obama / Biden '08 - Insightful, on 10/11/2008, -3/+47Awww, first you are ordered to conduct your governor business like a governor and second you are told you cannot do whatever you want and abuse your power. What a bummer of a Friday. :(
I do admire you Alaskan though, somehow our politicians and judges of the lower 48 States are too scared to hold Bush and Cheney accountable.
IMPEACH PALIN '08. - hmunkey, on 10/11/2008, -1/+41What amazes me is the fact that Sarah Palin has millions of staunch supporters. I always had a positive outlook on all of humanity, until these last few weeks.
- elister, on 10/11/2008, -2/+37For the OMG HUFFINGTON POST IS SO LIBERALLY BIASED.... crowd.

- elwior, on 10/11/2008, -2/+25 Palin/McCain, change that would make you cringe!
- inactive, on 10/11/2008, -0/+17she could be our President, thats a bigger more terrifying WOW!!!!!!!!!
- eyepennies, on 10/11/2008, -1/+17Doesn't matter. They are impervious to the truth. They will find some other reason to disregard/discredit it.
- iZealot, on 10/11/2008, -0/+16Alaska is so close to Russia, power abuses you!
- webwatch, on 10/11/2008, -1/+15Sarah is so much like Cheney. No wonder Bill Kristol wanted her as a VP candidate.
- Thorlord, on 10/11/2008, -4/+18that would be very suspicious...
especially since no one had email when it happened. - elister, on 10/11/2008, -2/+16I didn't we know had email back in 1972.
- Fogdelune, on 10/11/2008, -1/+14And those e-mails are somewhere in the twilight zone, just as Cheney's were, I'm sure.
- Tenlow, on 10/11/2008, -0/+13Not by my count. She's a nutjob who thought she was above the law.
Turns out she isnt. - elister, on 10/11/2008, -2/+14One more thing, remember the so called October surprise back in 2000? It was found out that Bush Jr had a drunken driving arrest and it had this odd illusion that his father helped cover it up. I remember many many Republicans saying "OMG THAT WAS 20 YEARS AGO!! HE DOESN'T DRINK ANYMORE!". Well the same thing can be said for Ayers, alot of people were desperate for change, that they bombed buildings, protested in droves, spoke out against the administration and against the American institution. But alot of these people were forgiven, pardoned for their crimes of passion. What Ayers did, is in the past. Unless he's done something recently, that not only warrants an arrest but a deeper look into Obamas friends, then Republicans have an extremely weak argument. Like most politicians, it makes you look extremely hypocritical. You ignore your own party and only focus on your opponents.
- yosserhughes, on 10/11/2008, -3/+15If you liked Cheney, you're gonna love Sarah.
- cmootoo, on 10/11/2008, -0/+12Also false there buddy. CNN fact checked this already.
McCain's camp is all that's up there and they seem to be running the governors office. - elister, on 10/11/2008, -1/+12Excuse me, but alot of Americans would like the emails of the Bush administration, but they've stonewalled the entire time, replacing a perfectly useful and working email system and opting for a new one using an outside contractor in conjunction with private accounts in order to hide whatever it is they were doing. The length to of which they went to hide their electronic conversations, forces citizens to assume that what they were doing, was in fact illegal. Still think it was legal? Then why were millions of emails deleted from a time leading up to the Iraq invasion?
Its about 100 times more important than emails that Palin and her cronies exchanged or the emails Obama made with Ayers. Seriously, it pales in comparison. But if you think that those emails were more important, then by all means, cry like the little bitch you are and continue on with your fake outage. - rbempah, on 10/11/2008, -1/+12UMM wow this person is could be our VP. Nice
- mazaj423, on 10/11/2008, -2/+13I wish we had the Todd Palins e-mails to the Alaskan Independence Party now those would be a good read
- ironhide, on 10/11/2008, -2/+13*snore*
- Denominator88, on 10/11/2008, -1/+11Lol, that will piss Bill Orielly off... since he thinks it's illegal...
- inactive, on 10/11/2008, -0/+9shes, what we like to call in our little circle of patriots, *****.
- bjornski, on 10/12/2008, -0/+9ACORN's ethical mis-deeds are FAR less important right now than the mis-steps of the VP candidate.
So go ahead, keep trying to draw attention to the activists that help poor people, while trying to totally shield the corrupt liar running for the 2nd most powerful position in the nation.
If what ACORN did was illegal, members should go to jail.
If what Palin did was illegal, she ALSO should go to jail. Not get rewarded with the ***** VP position.
People joked that Hillary would push Obama in front of a car if she was selected for the VP ticket. I'd be more concerned about John's morning dose of Geritol being tainted with moose laxative or something...
That woman wants power. Badly. And looking into her records (which she tries to keep off the record), it seems she'll do ANYTHING to get it.

McCain's "association tactic" will backfire on him. - AugustusOsari, on 10/11/2008, -3/+11"Somehow our politicians and judges of the lower 48 States are too scared to hold Bush and Cheney accountable."
You don't get it, do you? America is volatile and heading either to violent revolution or totalitarianism. Everyone who isn't supporting the new totalitarian regime is trying to keep the blood out of the streets and stop it some other way.
If anyone actively does anything against the neocons, there can be no happy ending. - BlueAyez, on 10/11/2008, -2/+10"McCain has been defending Obama against his agressive and uninformed party members"
After he and Palin inflamed the crowds. Palin referred to Obama not once but twice as a terrorist in speeches to the ultra conservatives.
They made this mess so they need to clean it up. Or maybe they made the mess so they could paint McCain as a good guy. My guess is the FBI told McCain to tell Palin to shut the hell up.
And here's the deal about Ayers. The logic doesn't fit.
1) both my parents were ultra conservatives. They raised me. I'm a liberal.
2) I lived in Silicon Valley in the 80's. I met a few of the people who became rich by building computer companies. Does this make me rich by association? Does this make me a better person?
3) Social workers have daily contact with parolees and drug abusers. Does that make them criminals?
Use your brain for something other than a place to park your ball cap. - bongfarmer, on 10/11/2008, -1/+9Awesome, chance for Cheney to start mentoring her early

- Kabloink, on 10/11/2008, -0/+8Unlike the White House, Yahoo probably keeps pretty good backups of its e-mail system. I am sure under court order they would be able to provide some of the e-mails in those accounts.

5. So how well do Ayers and Obama know each other?
Ayers and Obama served on separate boards associated with the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, an education-reform group that Obama began chairing in March 1995 and continued to work with through 2000. Ayers served on the Chicago School Reform Collaborative, which made recommendations to the board on grant awards during those years. Ayers and Obama occasionally would see each other in those roles.
Also, Ayers served alongside Obama between December 1999 and December 2002 on the board of the not-for-profit Woods Fund of Chicago. That board met four times a year, and members would see each other at dinners the group hosted.
The RNC's statement that "Obama's first campaign was launched at a gathering at Mr. Ayers' home" stems from a 1995 "meet-and-greet" coffee that Ayers and Dohrn held for Obama at their home when Obama was making his first run for the Illinois Senate. Obama's presidential campaign has described the event as an opportunity for Ayers and Dohrn to introduce Obama to their neighbors.
In 2001, Ayers gave $200 to Obama's campaign. A year ago, the two met walking through the neighborhood where they both live. - cmootoo, on 10/11/2008, -0/+7"Hundreds of millions'
Hahahahahahahaha
Thats what PUMA said. At least you still have your sense of humor. - cmootoo, on 10/11/2008, -0/+7raines isn't associate with Obama. Check your facts.
You're unusually desperate today. Don't worry, on Nov 5th McCain gets a long vacation and Palin goes back to face the music up north. - gcnaddict, on 10/11/2008, -3/+10"As if their own candidate doesn't have a ties to a real terrorist."
No ties exist. Pull your head out of your ass. - Leviathan433, on 10/11/2008, -2/+9Let the digg ***** storm of political debate begin!

- EnjoyTheFact, on 10/11/2008, -1/+7Yeah, like that's ever stopped emails from being deleted.
- zenbud, on 10/11/2008, -1/+7uh, okay . . . read much?
- cmootoo, on 10/11/2008, -1/+7Well it looks like troopergate opened the floodgates. There have been allegations of abuse and efforts to circumvent public scrutiny of the governor's office by Palin and her staff. One such method was to use personal email which is not public record and requires a separate subpoena to be issued to the owner of the account.
An ethics violation and the preceding attempts to delay the investigative process are not traits people want to see attached to a VP candidate. - elister, on 10/11/2008, -0/+6Ahhh ok, so its ok to assassinate doctors who perform abortions, but not ok to bomb a federal building that supports a war that was based purely on political ideology? When people are desperate, they will go to extremes. Just look at the McCain campaign for the past few months. Nothing but attack ads and gimmicks.
- elister, on 10/11/2008, -0/+5Relativism? When your behind in the polls, your only option is to hit low. That's basically whats been going on for the past few months.
By all means, read up on it at FactCheck.org.
http://www.factcheck.org/elections-2008/he_lied_ab ... - Sithseth, on 10/11/2008, -1/+6You have never taken a history course out of high school, or read any sort of American History book, have you?
The united states has been in the same situation it is now for the past ever. There has been no "violent" revolution" (we'll ignore the revolutionary war for continuity sake) because this is just how our government has been running.
If you want proof, read up on the "Alien and Sedition Act" during John Adam's presidency. There was no Violent revolution, or a totalitarian take over, but instead there was an election, Thomas Jefferson was elected, and things changed for the better!
We live in a democracy, and it's been working for the past 232 years. Maybe you should register to vote, and actually read about what politician you should vote for, that way it will continue to work.
