- MercyPolitics, on 11/03/2009, -8/+38We need more elected officials like Grayson to implement real reforms.
- whosmav, on 11/03/2009, -11/+37Haha, this guy rocks. I'm loving his attitude.
Think for yourself - stolemybike, on 11/03/2009, -0/+22You're lack of grammar makes that sentence EXTREMELY difficult to read. try again.
- 46n09, on 11/03/2009, -4/+21Finally! A democrat with a back bone. We need more like him to replace the blue dawgs!
- mikebrinkman, on 11/03/2009, -0/+17I have absolutely no idea what you're trying to say.
- whosmav, on 11/03/2009, -1/+18See, Joe Wilson let an impulse guide him. That's the OPPOSITE of thinking.
- Rantus, on 11/03/2009, -8/+24I love how the righties are coming out and comparing Grayson to Glenn Beck, ***** that's hysterical. Grayson is a law scholar, entrepreneur, a former economist and now is in the House of Representatives. From Wiki:
Grayson was born in the Bronx, New York and grew up in the tenements. He graduated from Bronx High School of Science and worked his way through Harvard University, graduating in three years, summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. He worked as an economist for two years, but then returned to Harvard for graduate studies. Within four years, he earned a law degree with honors from Harvard Law School, a masters in public policy from the John F. Kennedy School of Government and completed the course work and passed the general exams for a Ph.D. in government.
After writing his master's thesis on gerontology, Grayson founded the Alliance for Aging Research, and served as an officer of the organization for more than 20 years.
Grayson also was the first President of IDT Corporation, a publicly traded billion-dollar telecommunications company. Grayson was ranked as the 12th-wealthiest member of Congress based on financial disclosure forms with a minimum net worth of $31.12 million, according to Roll Call.
Ok, Glenn Beck is... a High School Graduate, former drug and alcohol abuser, rodeo clown and currently a radio personality. He is also rumored to be a pathological liar and possibly schizophrenic, so maybe the lying part isn't his fault.
But this trivial info shouldn't influence anyone's decision as to who is more qualified to give objective opinions and make critical decisions. Not at all. - NorthMass, on 11/03/2009, -10/+26he has done great work in exposing the Fed
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cJqM2tFOxLQ
but then he voted for the Obama defense appropriations bill to continue the wars overseas
http://www.govtrack.us/congress/vote.xpd?vote=h200 ...
so I don't know, he has done good and bad. - inactive, on 11/03/2009, -12/+28I threw 5 bucks at Grayson, 5 at the Democrats, and tipped Actblue a buck. Best 11 bucks I ever spent on the web, and I likes my porn...
- fadeout, on 11/03/2009, -5/+20Joe Wilson threw his tantrum during an address by the President, where it is considered poor behavior.
Is that really too hard for you to understand? - vinod1978, on 11/03/2009, -1/+13How? By lying? The bill did NOT allow illegal immigrants to benefit from health care reform yet Joe Wilson said it did. There was no thinking going on at all in his pea size brain.
- Laminarcissus, on 11/03/2009, -0/+12Also from Wikipedia:
"In 1996, while working for a New Haven-area radio station, Beck was admitted to Yale University through a special program for non-traditional students. One of his recommendations for admittance came from Senator Joe Lieberman. Beck took one theology class, "Early Christology," and then dropped out."
Pure gravitas. - Vermifax, on 11/03/2009, -2/+13No he didn't.
- Laminarcissus, on 11/03/2009, -4/+14Quirkopatra, to put it indelicately -- Alan Grayson takes a dump on people's heads. Joe Wilson took a dump on the American flag.
There's a difference between disrespecting individuals and disrespecting our entire government -- one is indelicate, the other is completely improper.
And you say he apologized? Sure, a little swipe at one that was promptly provided to the press, but it's hard to take seriously when the very next day he began using "You lie!" merchandise as fundraising tools.
There is no comparison. - Anomaly100, on 11/03/2009, -1/+11Joe Wilson, like his party, does not think. They only react, and it's defensive.
I can't even believe you would compare Alan Grayson to the likes of Joe "foot in mouth" Wilson. - diggitydoc, on 11/03/2009, -1/+9Ze words, zey mean nothing!
- 2Six119, on 11/03/2009, -1/+9No kidding. I'm glad I voted for Obama, I think he's one of the best men for the job, but I am so sick of him trying to please everyone and taking such a centrist stance on EVERYTHING
- AgeofMastery, on 11/03/2009, -1/+9More nonsense from GenitalHerpes
- Bartboy919, on 11/03/2009, -2/+9Joe Wilson is such a better role model.
- Anomaly100, on 11/03/2009, -3/+9quirkopatra:
I wonder who started with the Nazi meme? It didn't start with us. I think there is a vast difference between this man & Joe Wilson. Wilson said two words on impulse. Alan Grayson is standing up for us. He came out of nowhere & said exactly what we wish we could have said if we were being heard. Honestly Quirkopatra, you must see a difference here. - supermanly, on 11/03/2009, -6/+12Compared to the conservatives at the infamous town hall meetings on healthcare, Grayson is a saint.
- GBPACKGB, on 11/03/2009, -4/+9This is off-topic, but I was reading Alan Grayson's wikipedia page and he has the most impressive college education I've ever seen. He makes Obama look like Palin.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alan_Grayson#Early_li ... - ohplease, on 11/03/2009, -0/+5you just accidentally all of my brain
- Dralha, on 11/03/2009, -2/+7Go Grayson!
- QuimbyDogg, on 11/03/2009, -1/+5http://namesofthedead.com/ - Website Grayson had setup and has been talking about in the house the last few weeks.
- foster5652, on 11/03/2009, -3/+7Had to digg you down on this. You present a perfect example of 'one man's kook is another's force for change. Any nut who has allowed themselves to be swayed beyond reason is easily manipulated, left or right wing. Perhaps, it would be better to not identify with a 'wing' but with specific issues.
- BasalCellBossk, on 11/04/2009, -2/+6You're always wrong.
- Skywise, on 11/03/2009, -10/+13And Joe Wilson has raked in 2 million so far on a "non-election" year.
- SoulGrub, on 11/04/2009, -1/+4Those aren't really facts. Affordability and definition of winning is open to debate. While people are willing to buy US debt, you can certainly can afford it in the short term. Is total victory the only reason to stay in Afghanistan? I doubt it. What are the costs of sudden withdrawal or defunding of Defence? Seems irresponsible to advocate any of the above without addressing the consequences.
- SoulGrub, on 11/03/2009, -2/+5The war in Afghanistan is not a clear case of right and wrong.
- MrFunStuff, on 11/03/2009, -1/+4How about the fact that we can't afford it and it can't be won.
Britain's most senior military commander in Afghanistan has warned that the war against the Taliban cannot be won.
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/article48 ... - seltaeb4, on 11/04/2009, -0/+2You are lack of grammar?
- MrFunStuff, on 11/04/2009, -0/+2Which is?
- CaptOblivious, on 11/04/2009, -0/+2SteveMTyler,
So, whatever your native language is, you should try posting in that. Even if it's Mandarin it will be more understandable than that post was. - seltaeb4, on 11/04/2009, -0/+2Dude Sounds Like a Crazy
- lavis88, on 11/03/2009, -0/+1Yeah you're right, I mean who's oil is it really?
- JordanTW90, on 11/03/2009, -6/+7I hate to be a bubble burster, but he actually only raised $200k in one day. The day prior the total sat at just over $300k
- SoulGrub, on 11/04/2009, -1/+2You make a weak argument by refusing to consider the downsides of what you're advocating.
- Kevitivity, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1I can't think of that would salvage your comment would be my clicking the digg down button.
- seltaeb4, on 11/04/2009, -0/+1I'm not sure how "moonbats" came to be an insult. Bats are cool, and so is the moon.
- SoulGrub, on 11/04/2009, -1/+1My original point is only that advocating a position without understanding the consequences is idiocy. Unfortunately that's what 98% of digg users do.
- mariners, on 11/07/2009, -2/+2Don't you just love this man. He is the man you want on your team. No wonder the Repubs don't like him, what do they have lets see crazy Michelle Bachmann, and another crazy Virginia Foxx and of course Sarah, and then there is pretty boy Boehner, talk about the party of no ideas, just alot of whining and complaining.
- poprocksandsoda, on 11/03/2009, -9/+8LOL. 500k. It will take billions to re-elect Democrats in 2010 and 2012.
- MrFunStuff, on 11/04/2009, -3/+2What are the costs of sudden withdrawal or defunding of Defence?
Saving the live of troops and money that would otherwise be spent on nation building. - notahack, on 11/04/2009, -1/+0excuse me I got it wrong. HOWLING moonbats. Wish I could post pics.
To quote the psychiatrist in Terminator about Kyle He's a loon.
- m4gic9, on 11/03/2009, -3/+2http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LnoD3NUux3M&fea ...
- hughesw2, on 11/03/2009, -9/+6pretty much. he knows how to get partisans riled up, but whenever i listen to him, i don't hear much substance. he just found a way to tap into frustration on the part of liberals to get some notoriety.
- inactive, on 11/03/2009, -5/+2I think you misspelled ben :)
