- KibblesnBitts, on 06/30/2009, -10/+279It only took 7 months and 26 days after the election.
- manlyandy, on 06/30/2009, -38/+236Finally Norm Coleman will have his disenfranchisement of voters ended. It was truly an act to keep the people from being represented. Pathetic.
- jareddennis, on 06/30/2009, -26/+213Suck it, O'Reilly!!
- veganpa, on 06/30/2009, -20/+155Can you imagine the 24/7 media *****-storm if Franken had tried to tie up the election for even a month?
- ganymede2010, on 06/30/2009, -17/+117Looks like the voters *stole* another election from the GOP.
- FreddieD, on 06/30/2009, -7/+89I'm fairly sure Norm Coleman doesn't give much of a ***** what Minnesota voters care about right now.
- kete00, on 06/30/2009, -15/+93It's about time! I wonder how Norm Coleman feels about denying Minn of half their Senate representation for 6 months.
- CosmicSurfer, on 06/30/2009, -21/+95Norm Coleman takes "sore loser" to a whole new level of immaturity, idiocy and ignorance.
"Who cares what THE PEOPLE want....Just give me my seat back or I'll hold my breath until I turn...well REDDER!".....what a twit (I want to keep it G-rated) - Bartboy919, on 06/30/2009, -4/+68You don't do that if you won, except if your Al Gore.
- CosmosCR, on 06/30/2009, -2/+59So he gets an extra 7 months 26 days in office then right?
- Verchiel77, on 06/30/2009, -32/+83No word on whether or not Coleman will keep denying the citizens of Minnesota full representation in the Senate with further GOP-funded crying and stamping of feet...
- TheJimid, on 06/30/2009, -16/+53Al Franken is going to make C-SPAN hilarious.
- dagnabbit, on 06/30/2009, -10/+47Pawlenty on Sunday: ""I'm not going to defy an order of the Minnesota Supreme Court. That would be a dereliction of my duty."
Sounds like this is finally over. I suppose some nutcases will be in here shouting "voter fraud!" but it's important to note that even Coleman's legal team said there is no evidence of any fraud of any kind. They were just arguing that the absentee ballot rules were unfair in certain districts. - Bartboy919, on 06/30/2009, -2/+37He's good enough, he's smart enough, AND GOD DAMN IT, HE'S A SENATOR!
- FlaG8r, on 06/30/2009, -3/+38If 50% of Minnesotans had voted for Coleman he would have won in a landslide.
- kent1146, on 06/30/2009, -11/+46Dear Norm Coleman-
Please finally shut the ***** up, and never ever do that ***** again.
Thank you.
- The United States. - macmcraeart, on 06/30/2009, -10/+42"I am good enough. I am smart enough. And doggonit - people in minnesota like me."
- Bhima, on 06/30/2009, -3/+34WE'LL DO IT LIVE!
- LuckyScofield, on 06/30/2009, -15/+44I'm so Franken happy!
- cusoman, on 06/30/2009, -0/+28Incorrect. Coleman just stated he won't appeal.
Source: http://www.startribune.com/politics/national/senat ... - realeskimopimp, on 06/30/2009, -16/+43Majority in Senate, Majority in House.
Now all that's left is you. You need to pressure your represenative to act now on important issues while we have the majority is.
Empower yourself, call your represenative and your senator and lobby for your issue. Otherwise, it will be lobbyist groups that drown you out. - Snoogs, on 06/30/2009, -2/+28AND IF YOU CALL NOW, WE'LL THROW IN AN AL FRANKEN FOR FREE!!! HERE'S HOW TO ORDER.
- zbsfan, on 06/30/2009, -12/+37Wow...so after winning the final standard election count/recount process...and winning a court challenge...and winning an appeals challenge...and winning a state Supreme Court ruling...the Republican Governor might FINALLY admit Al Franken won. What a guy...
- WELLDOITLIVE, on 06/30/2009, -5/+29***** IT
- Bartboy919, on 06/30/2009, -14/+38GOOD NEWS: COLEMAN OFFICIALLY CONCEDED!!
Its over folks. - CB810, on 06/30/2009, -13/+37Hey Norm, don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out (per JackCarn)
- Bartboy919, on 06/30/2009, -6/+29Ventura was actually a better governor than the current gov, Pawlenty.
- KibblesnBitts, on 06/30/2009, -2/+24TO PLAY US OUT? WHAT THE HELL DOES THAT MEAN?
- Vermifax, on 06/30/2009, -6/+28You're right. Gore actually won.
- Lomstradamus, on 06/30/2009, -3/+25Oh did they kete00? Really?
- ceredron, on 06/30/2009, -1/+23oh yeah, god forbid we respect the will of the people in an open election. Damn, those people, they have no idea who or what they voted for, right?
- MidnightFox, on 06/30/2009, -2/+24***** THING SUCKS!
- biotch, on 07/01/2009, -1/+21"Kinda like Al Gore in 2000, right?"
no not at all like Al Gore.
Al Gore didnt bring anything to court... Bush started the supreme court case to get them to STOP counting legitimate votes.
And how many days did that keep anyone out of office?
thats right ... 0
And how long did Coleman keep MN from representation? 5 months.
"Except that Coleman had a LEGITIMATE beef."
The court's unanimous decision disagrees.
"The 32-page opinion was remarkably decisive, picking apart and rejecting one Coleman legal claim after another. "

- frygar, on 06/30/2009, -6/+25Silly butthurt republican.
- Craig304958, on 06/30/2009, -3/+22Remember Florida? Remember Ohio? Geez, where do you get off, lecturing Minnesota about proper election procedures and open, honest elections?
- Bartboy919, on 06/30/2009, -1/+20Dont worry, you still have Max baucus and other DINO's to help you out there.
- NyteStarNyne, on 07/01/2009, -3/+22HI, BILLY MAYS HERE!!!
- DrummerAndrew, on 06/30/2009, -2/+21I CAN'T READ THAT, WHAT'S THAT SAY?
- rblancarte, on 06/30/2009, -0/+18Dude, I am democrat, and even I don't believe that.
How about this? Best candidates forever!! - Diefree, on 06/30/2009, -2/+20Nice to see you can't see the major difference. All the votes were counted in the Franken case they weren't in the Bush case. Now try and keep up with the facts.
- inactive, on 06/30/2009, -17/+35Shouda been Ventura.
- CaLaVa, on 06/30/2009, -1/+19It's been a bad year for Billo first, Paul Krugman wins the Nobel Prize in economics and now Al Franken is the junior senator from MN. Lol
