- copywriteink, on 04/02/2008, -0/+7Interesting piece Paula. Most politicians are not as black and white while campaigning. The stiff contrasts are created to make the choice easier. As for your piece, there is a lot of wiggle room on issues such as immigration, world affairs, and the economy so chalk up your critics as those who are attempting to create a stiff contrast between you and them because their own opinions might lack.
- SaveJake, on 04/02/2008, -0/+4That was perfectly said and so true. I have to admit, I claimed a political party last year so I could vote! You see we don't count.....no primaries, being left out of local decisions. You must me Democrat or Republican. I'm both! Thanks for saying what needed to be said.
- chicofaraby, on 04/03/2008, -0/+1How can someone a person who sees through the right wing's rhetoric about patriotism be taken in by the right's rhetoric about immigration? This article seems to confirm my personal belief that many Americans think that their only choices are the center-right Democrats or the extreme right Republicans. I choose neither. The lesser of two evils is still evil.
