- asimo8, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11Imagine a world without the whole liberal/conservative, left/right, democrat/republican paradigm.
There is a lot more in the world than two sets of ideas. Think for yourself.
It is very easy to control the people when they are divided like this. - Civil44, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Imagine a world without politics. Much better...
- tooslickvan, on 10/12/2007, -3/+8It's not hard to imagine a world with most of things on the list. Hell, most didn't exist before 1940. If you think life in a America was better before the 1940 then just remember that most people were not John Rockefeller.
- awm4, on 10/12/2007, -5/+8We can only dream
- dgaspard, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6took the words right out of my mouth
- rasterbator, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4I am [politician name here], and I approved this message.
- EntropyMan, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6Did it ever occur to you that a critical difference between liberals and conservatives (nowadays) is that conservatives spend way too much time wishing liberals didn't exist vs. actually trying to improve things?
It shows that some people would rather spend their time in unrealistic fantasies rather than dealing with reality. Apparently, you can wish teenagers not to have sex by lying to them. Apparently, the environment will follow whatever rules we tell it. Apparently, you can convert a country to democracy by invading it kicking off a civil war. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Rather than getting caught up in the Liberal vs. Conservative debate, why not dream about a country that strictly follows its supreme law, the US Constitution?????
Liberals and Conservatives alike have their share of good and bad points. I'm fine with either if they will leave their hands off the damn Constitution!!! Quit looking at the government as anything other than your servant! That's all it is Constitutionally authorized to be. If you simply want your party to gain "power" so you can enforce your will on others, you are a tyrant regardless of whether you cling to the L or C group. - brokekneck, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4So very very true. The American issue's simply do not breakdown into two sides. And its sad that we are so devided as a nation.
- rasterbator, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Now imagine a world where republicans and democrats actually believe in a government for the people, by the people, and actually try to come up with solutions to problems (that don't involve more taxes. nice try liberals).
Can the shirt be customized? That would be great. I am all for alternative energies, as long as the resource for the funds is not my paycheck. The current energy companies should shell out the cost for this research, since it is in their best interest. Heck, that is the spirit of competition on which capitalism was born. - bigturns, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1hate is a strong word - i feel sorry for their inability to host real opinions as opposed to those trumpeted by their leadership.
- montezumamike, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I agree, that person was pretty oblivious. The shirt itself has quite marked points for each bloated, bigoted, blinded political party. Republicans have forgotten what "conservative" actually means and Democrats don't know how to tie their own shoes. But above all, damn the ignorant, impressionable public that lets them all get away with it. There is no real accountability in this country, and we are paying for it in spades.
- asimo8, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Don't get me wrong, I am not saying there should only be a single ideal among people. I am saying there needs to be far more variety.
- bigturns, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Imagine a world without hate (which is everything this t-shirt represents).
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1BEST ARTICLE EVAR!121!11!!!!
- adambadam, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3An interesting take on what liberals add to the political sphere.
- Wind8reaker, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1I like the shirt, the author of the article however was an idiot. . . .
- vtran09, on 10/12/2007, -13/+4i hate republicans
