- col381, on 10/11/2008, -0/+2It is amazingly sad that this is what the McCain has come up with to try and swindle this election.
- Acorn is not a 'evil conspiracy' - they just help people to register to vote. These are good people who are dedicated to getting more people involved in the political process. That's it!
- Obama has nothing to fear or be ashamed of for supporting their campaign, it's all very legal and reasonable.
- The Republicans hate Acorn because new voters tend to be young people, black people, poor people, homeless people etc. who (at a ratio of around 80%) tend to vote democrat because of their more inclusive social policies.
- The McCain campaign seems to have come up with this vast crazy conspiracy theory that Obama is somehow in league with terrorists and behind him are a series of secret evil organizations who want to thrust him into power. Give me a break!!
Behind all of McCain's accusations there is one thing missing - SOLID PROOF. No charges have been laid against anyone in Acorn, and not a single fraudulent vote has been shown to have been cast, no illegal activity has been uncovered, accusations of 'paling around with terrorists' are pathetic at best.
This is nothing more than a barrage of accusations, none of which are substantial, designed to give an illusion of reality. What we are seeing here, my gullible friends, is a Karl Rove designed, "Swiftboat" attack. Nothing less, really you should be used to these things by now.
Send up enough smoke, people will be sure there is a fire. - inactive, on 10/12/2008, -1/+1Yeah, good people whose offices just happen to be raided by the FBI.
