- siszam, on 11/05/2007, -5/+188I"m not even for Ron Paul but it's shameful for any candidate to be treated that way in the U.S.
So much for democracy. - p0tent1al, on 10/10/2007, -7/+166Everyone who actually believes that these news stations are credible needs to get educated. FOX, ABC, CBS, NBC, all of them are corrupt, and all of them are owned, and paid for by major corporations, which are relatively in cahoots with government, so what you have are stations that are all relatively owned by government.
Seeing as how Ron Paul is getting to be an extremely popular candidate, and seeing as how he is against stands for everything this government believes in, and the fact that he is all for limiting the governments powers and increasing the liberties of the American people, OF COURSE the government is going to use their influence to get this guy the least amount of air time possible.
They have already used their influence to get us to agree with the war in Iraq, amongst many things. Why do you think impeachment news about George Bush almost never, or never appears in the media? All you see are Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan Stories, because that is REAL NEWS RIGHT?
The major problem is that people automatically take for true these news stations, and their so-called news when in reality they are all propaganda machines, and people need to start moving away from ALL OF THEM. Michael Moore called CNN on their integrity, and I think the American people should start calling these stations on their integrity, and start getting their information from the most credible source in the world, the internet.
Study the facts and make your own decision, don't let people like Bill O'Reiley tell you who is Anti-American and who isn't. - urbannomad23, on 10/10/2007, -5/+134the head questioning figure(stephanosodiu8uqlous), was also the guy who blatantly said to Paul's face " you're not gonna win anything"
- j0keR, on 10/10/2007, -5/+97The media tends to get their collective panties in a bunch when they lose their control over telling the American people what to think and who to vote for.
"First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win." -Mahatma Gandhi - Ghoztt, on 10/10/2007, -9/+91I watched the debate. I woke up at 7:45AM and watched the entire thing. I payed attention to what each candidate had to say. But that's just it - I'M FOR CONSTITUTIONAL GOVERNMENT. And since Iraq had NOTHING to do with 9/11 - I'm with Ron Paul. Just because I'm on the internet doesn't mean I'm not a real person. I look at everything objectively and after that - I STILL VOTE RON PAUL. Bite me neo-cons, and socialist democrats! Just because I'm smart enough to use the internet and vote doesn't mean that this poll is rigged!!
- el33tn3ss, on 10/10/2007, -12/+86I voted in the poll for Ron Paul, does that mean I am a bot? If so, cool.
- p0tent1al, on 10/10/2007, -5/+48That is exactly the reason you should support Ron Paul. Media is owned by government, and Paul wants to move away from that.
Furthermore, that is a huge misconception, this country should be a republic. Democracy is not written ONCE in the constitution or the bill of rights. For instance, anyone remember that little song you were forced to recite as a kid, a little one I call "The Pledge of Allegiance"?
I pledge allegiance, to the flag
of the United States of America,
and TO THE REPUBLIC
for which it stands, one nation, under god, with liberty and justice for all.
I know what you mean, but it really should be "So much for a republic".... - uninvolved, on 10/10/2007, -6/+45Personally, I don't mind hearing about Ron Paul. I plan on voting for him in the primaries.
- brufleth, on 10/10/2007, -5/+40As an aside, the "under god" was added in the second half the 20th century during the cold war to distinguish the US from the "godless commies" and is only in there as propaganda.
The United States of America was NOT founded under any particular god. - MrKrinkleDude, on 10/10/2007, -3/+37One thing I've noticed since the Nightly News on ABC after the debate, they completely avoid any mention or video shots of Ron Paul. Noticed it on this mornings ABC overnight show, not even a shot of Ron standing at the podium during a pan and scan of the debaters.
- j.carcinogen, on 10/10/2007, -2/+35Good point. That implants the idea at the end of the interview to the viewer that it would be a wasted vote and explains why he got less airtime on the debate.

http://bayimg.com/LafLFAAbE - grungegbunny, on 10/10/2007, -2/+27I am no bot either.. I voted on the poll for Ron Paul because he's the only Rep Candidate worth a bottle of piss. I am Libertarian and many of his ideas are Libertarian in nature.
When the time comes if Ron Paul gets the Rep Ticket, my vote will be for him.
If any of the other jokers are on the ballot, my vote will go Dem be it Clinton or Obama. - p0tent1al, on 10/10/2007, -2/+25Very true. Your absolutely right. The very reason I stopped reciting the pledge of allegiance at a certain point.
So much for the Constitution saying Government and Religion should be separate.
Do people have no respect for the Constitution? When people go out on July 4th to celebrate the freedom this country achieved in 1776, do they forget that it is the Founding Fathers, and the Constitution that brought that about? - hiphoc, on 10/10/2007, -1/+23Speaking of old people. My mom works at a nursing home. And when its time for them to vote, the people helping the foks into the machines actually vote for the seniors, i mean the really wacked out ones that drool on themselves. So a few workers get to voted over and over and over and over and over again all day long.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+22what a douche. old people watch that and vote in droves
- M4tt3r, on 10/10/2007, -7/+29So you want to ban people who only digg a certain subject, that you say is bad? pfft, get real, they don't submit stories from 1 site, nor do they digg only 1 site. So what this boils down to is the content, which makes you biased.
- stro2425, on 10/10/2007, -5/+26It's like V for Vendetta, baby. R. Paul is going to force the establishment to look his way. He is raising too much money not too.
- ubuntuedgy, on 10/10/2007, -6/+27If anyone wants to know why we're in Iraq, why our trade/budget deficit is huge, why the European markets have passed us, why bridges seem to fall for the hell of it, and why the world laughs at us now...just look at the buried comments above. Democrats and Republicans (two party BS) has buried this country in crap and when people have the sense to reach out for something different, it is met with scorn and prejudice.
Want to know why our country is in such a bad way? Ask the idiots getting buried above. Note: don't expect a coherent answer. They are deaf mutes when it comes to politics; blind followers of whatever mom and dad said. - litcigar, on 10/10/2007, -1/+20ABC's poll should be set up to allow one-vote per IP address. There shouldn't be massive vote fraud/vote stacking in that case. (This is ignoring extreme measures that could be taken through the use of proxies, IP spoofing, and bot networks which I consider to be somewhat unlikely.)
I would like there to be greater understanding that Ron Paul supporters are doing nothing wrong when they vote for their candidate in polls that restrict voting ability fairly. Every candidate has the opportunity to amass such followers. It seems like Ron Paul inspires activism while the other candidates don't. - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -2/+20Excellent point. The fact is, when Americans come off of their TV induced semiconscious state and listen (as they have in Ron Paul's Congressional district) they can think just fine. The idea that Americans will always follow the herd is still not true. Thank God.
Go Ron GO - 15charmaxwtf, on 10/10/2007, -2/+19He has managed to persuade his district (and previous districts) to vote for him multiple times, against organised, well funded competition. It would seem like an unlikely place too, there is a lot of farming, but he is against farming subsidies, there are tornadoes (or whatever) but he's against Federal disaster relief. Also, he is more consistent and honest than any of the Democrat "top tier." So, it is really just about persuading enough people. Only time will tell.
- dattaway, on 10/10/2007, -1/+17Ron Paul doesn't give money, so he doesn't talk. Our media has a long tradition of money for favorable airtime. Otherwise, they will report the default crime and bad things. The program schedule of every media outlet is engineered and tightly controlled for raising money.
- TheN0ble, on 10/10/2007, -5/+20Watch: America - Freedom To Fascism
- Juroujin, on 10/10/2007, -2/+17Has Ron Paul ever addressed this (being 'forgotten' in poll results)?
- remccain, on 10/10/2007, -0/+14Dictatorship naturally arises out of democracy, and the most aggravated form of tyranny and slavery out of the most extreme liberty. ~ Plato
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -19/+33Maybe ABC suspects fraud? Those results are way too high! I'm for Ron Paul btw.
- p0tent1al, on 10/10/2007, -3/+17?? How about instead of childish slanderous remarks, maybe you could respond to me with a little intelligence. I may be a so called "nut", but I back every last statement of mine with facts and evidence, and all you can do is name call.
All these networks are owned, that is total fact. There are a couple of corporations who own all these little stations, and hold all the power. These corporations in turn, lobby congress and the like, and they have a lot of power due to the amount of money they have. Government is tied with large multi-billion dollar companies, like Haliburton and such, which is linked to the war, which is where the company made a lot of it's money from. This is not coincidence my friend.
I can sit here till I'm blue in the face and prove you wrong, but it really doesn't matter to people like you, you refuse to actually look at facts, but instead resort to name calling and believe that anything your government says is absolute truth, and any other opinion is "Anti-American".
Just for reference next time, if you have a problem with my comment, tell me which part exactly you have a problem with, I have no problem backing up my stance. - p0tent1al, on 10/10/2007, -4/+17Why? Care to state your position against Ron Paul? OH I forgot, reason isn't apart of the thought process for people like you.
If your going to be vocal about your stance against him, and go into comment sections featuring none other than Ron Paul, why won't you state your exact stance against him, instead of continuing with the childish name calling? You don't see me going into other candidates digg submissions and submitting negative comments.
This is what is wrong with the country, you are slandering a person who wants to INCREASE your freedom, and lower your taxes. Man I thought I'd never see the day. You Anti-Paul Diggers are ridiculous, fighting non-existent Ron Paul spammers when YOU are the spammers yourself.
Having a stance in Ron Paul is ok in itself, but if your going to go through the trouble just to post a comment here, at least have the decency to intelligently explain yourself. - Ghoztt, on 10/10/2007, -14/+26What is wrong with you people? Are you seriously that asleep to believe 9/11 had ANYTHING to do with Iraq?!?!!?!?!? Are you seriously that asleep to believe that someone that just wants to abide by the constitution is BAD!? Are you ***** anti-free market socialists or A-M-E-R-I-C-A-N-S!?!?
- Zarxrax, on 10/10/2007, -3/+15I'm not sure if you're trolling or serious, but Ron Paul is pretty much the polar opposite of George Bush. I encourage you to go watch some videos on youtube about ron paul, or visit his site ronpaul2008.com for more information.
- thecoolestguy, on 10/10/2007, -1/+13then why is that whenever people congregate on that thing called the internet, they ALL support Ron Paul? This isn't 1992, when only nerds use the internet, this is 2007 and pretty much every one has access to the internet and uses it every day.
- p0tent1al, on 10/10/2007, -10/+221. You wouldn't believe how many people get online.
2. Stop with the slanderous comments, you could make that stupid excuse for any candidate who got extremely popular (oh in the Democratic Campaign Obama got a lot of votes, I just guess it's all the Obama spammers). o.O
You anti-Ron paul idiots are just as bad as the people you "CLAIM" to be fighting. What a bunch of idiots (you included). - p0tent1al, on 10/10/2007, -1/+13The track record of ABC LYING is high (considering they pulled exactly this same ***** before).
- WilliamDavis, on 10/10/2007, -5/+17Keep donating. The media cannot deny the donations. Whiners can't complain that bots are making the donations. There will be a time when it will be impossible to ignore the fundraising numbers.
- Veretax, on 10/10/2007, -1/+12Wait people still get their news only from the big broadcast networks. what a laugh! ROFL!
- hiphoc, on 10/10/2007, -4/+15Technically we are a democracy right now. We have a senate that is directly elected by the people. That makes us a simple democracy, what the founders feared. The Senators were to come from the State legislators.. And the could be recalled at anytime if they were not doing a good job, that's why they had a 6 year term. The amendment that made the senate directly elected was not even ratified properly. Big Joke amongst the elite.
- WilliamDavis, on 10/10/2007, -0/+11As of the last report, he had more available cash than John McCain. Paul ranked 3rd out of the entire republican field in cash on hand. He's miles behind Mitt and Rudy. Considering the amount of airtime he gets, that's pretty impressive.
- Jmuduke, on 10/10/2007, -1/+12You're wrong, he appeals to many more people than the media gives him credit for. He has won every post debate poll on the major news stations. And who says that he's fringe?? Oh thats right, the only people who call him a no chance/fringe candidate are the very same news stations that are trying to shut him up, that alone makes them not a credible source of opinion.
- krinn, on 10/10/2007, -0/+11The online poll isn't the issue, the submitter was objecting to Ron Paul not being mentioned in this video:
http://abcnews.go.com/Video/playerIndex?id=3449538 - SoulDesigner, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10Im thinking maybe the webservers are loadbalanced or something and the content is not synch'd up perfectly.
- moxley, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10To each their own - but being of libertarian bent myself and and a (now former) registered democrat, and seeing how the democratic party has become ***** pussies who roll over for this administration, refuse to answer the hard questions, and sell out the American people (especially Clinton, who is quite corrupt, albeit not as corrupt as Bushco, but then who is)...I have to say that I can;t imagine anyone who uphold constitutional/libertarian values supporting obama or clinton. Personally Ron Paul seems like the best bet - Mike Gravel has some great points to mak,e, but I dont know if he could win.
- bigturns, on 10/10/2007, -1/+11Solution: TURN OFF THE NEWS. We have been sans TV/cable news since the invasion of Iraq was sensationalized. My local paper is delivered to the house weekly + we receive the NYT on Sunday's. That coupled with the varied opinions, found here on the web, provides my family with a far broader sampling of the days news than could be delivered via the drug-sponsored corporate propaganda found on network/cable news.
Katie Curic, blah, blah, 'O' Really, blah, blah, blah, Dodd, Hannity, Stephanhoozawitz, Lauer, Williams.... Why should I know these names? Shouldn't news stand on its own? Phizer, Monsanto, Philip Morris, Anheuser-Busch - WTF?
Go ahead, give it a shot - turn the ***** off. I swear your life and altogether well being will be better as a result. - mwmccullough, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10Look we'll see just how popular Ron Paul is come primary time. And then the media will have to report on him.
- shawnolds, on 10/10/2007, -1/+10I also recommend you watch America - Freedom To Fascism !

- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8I think that it is apropos to pose a question about the governmental and economic system that has developed in this country over the last 60 years since the end of WWII. We have a Federal government that increasingly controls every level of human affairs. The public debate is limited and controlled by a few corporations that work hand in hand with the government. The government works to actively promote big corporations and passes laws and regulations that benefit them. Big corporations in turn finance politicians and their campaigns.
We pay huge taxes, the government spends inconceivable amounts of money and the economy grows without improving the lot of the average guy.
There were a couple of countries earlier this century that used a very similar governmental-economic system to what we see now. It was called National Socialism.
However they didn't have a Ministry of Homeland Security, they called it Fatherland Security. - mav7469, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8I think you have Ron Paul mistake for the cross dressing Rudy Guliani. It is an understandable mistake. ;)
