- jaymzdean, on 07/01/2008, -12/+217What the hell is wrong with you people?
Don't you know that capturing and killing terrorists is no way to win a war on terrorism?
The sure fire way to beat the terrorists is warrant-less wiretapping of Americans, searching Americans ipods and laptops for contraband & copyright infringement, and tracking American's overseas travel and spending records.
I mean, really. 911, as we know, was carried out by...19 hijackers from Saud....er.....Bin La....ahem, uh....Al Qae....no.....Americans!
No? - inactive, on 06/30/2008, -7/+197Remember:
Weekly Standard editor Fred Barnes appeared on Fox this morning to discuss his recent meeting with President Bush in the Oval Office. The key takeaway for Barnes was that “bin Laden doesn’t fit with the administration’s strategy for combating terrorism.” Barnes said that Bush told him capturing bin Laden is “not a top priority use of American resources.” (http://thinkprogress.org/2006/09/14/barnes-osama/) - EricSchC1, on 06/30/2008, -28/+167"Oh but the War on Terror isn't about oil or war profiteering!" /ignorant American ideology
- quakerorts, on 06/30/2008, -10/+114Why not? They let him escape from Tora Bora. The US military controlled the airspace and had the most sophisticated surveillance equipment in the world scanning Afghanistan. It would have been impossible to not see the convoy of hundreds of cars, headlights blazing, crossing the unlit Afghan countryside.
- Macrophage, on 06/30/2008, -16/+75Perhaps Georgie Boy has personal reasons to prefer Bin Laden is not found..or at least found alive. Perhaps he knows that Bin Laden has been Dead for quite some time....one never knows
with Georgie
PEACE
John - mbaguy4000, on 07/01/2008, -7/+63The reason that Bin Laden is in hiding is not because he has people looking for him, its is due to the fact that he cannot afford traveling anywhere because of the damn gas prices!
- ScienceDoc, on 06/30/2008, -32/+86Remember that the Bin Laden's and W are tight. That is why W and Condi allowed Sept 11. to happen and why the refuse to capture Osama. To W. this is about getting rich and the Bin Laden's helped him and Dicky to do that.
- speakafreaka, on 07/01/2008, -3/+50Bin Laden/Al Queda doesnt need to exist in a physical sense. As long as people need something to fear, there will always be Bin Laden there for finger pointing.
Ignorance is strength! - jaymzdean, on 07/01/2008, -4/+48MEMO:
"bin Laden determined to attack inside the United States"
/vacation time!!!! - inactive, on 06/30/2008, -23/+62This is par for the course. BushCo. needs to answer for their crimes against humanity. We must capture, interrogate(torture), and convict them for crimes of high treason. We need to execute them without due process of law, since that is what they are doing.
- inactive, on 06/30/2008, -4/+40Benazhir Bhutto was sure that he is dead.
Bush knows he is dead, but why let us know? Bin Laden still scares the panties off of SecurityMom, so as long as Bin Laden keeps the population scared, the Bushies aren't going to let us know that he is dead - Reaktor5, on 07/01/2008, -3/+40I hope George Bush and Dick Cheney are eventually apprehended and tried for their crimes.
- bungle8, on 07/01/2008, -3/+33Special forces are currently busy in Iran...
- Berkana, on 07/01/2008, -5/+34For those who wonder about us letting him escape Tora Bora and letting him fly out of Afghanistan though the airspace was heavily controlled, see this documentary, which pieces all this together from published news:
Press for truth. The media are not connecting the dots from the stories they report.

We definitely let Bin Laden get away, and not out of incompetence. There is more to it than you've been told. - painperdu, on 07/01/2008, -6/+34Ron Jeremy is a terrorist?
- Gimli, on 07/01/2008, -17/+44The Bush family has ties with Osama Bin Laden's Family and President Bush doesn't want to disturb Thanksgiving diner by going after Bin Laden ;-)
- displacednomad, on 07/01/2008, -4/+31Bush is holding the body until he needs political capital. Then he will bring out Bin Laden's capture and the public will be in awe of him again. Ratings increase from 29% to 31%.
Still worst president ever. - Sil369, on 07/01/2008, -2/+28"When President George W. Bush froze assets connected to Osama bin Laden, he didn't tell the American people that the terrorist mastermind's late brother was an investor in the president's former oil business in Texas."
http://www.rense.com/general14/bushsformer.htm - Dumbledorito, on 07/01/2008, -1/+26The ones we created, you mean?
And Bin Laden, alive (or whatever) and producing tapes makes him a useful tool in keeping Americans scared and silent. - pablo82, on 07/01/2008, -3/+28I just realised, if they caught Bin Laden then they would have to try him for his supposed role in 9/11. Given that the FBI has already stated 'we have no hard evidence connecting Bin Laden to 9/11' they may have a few problems. I actually think your whole society would come close to collapse if this monstrous myth was ever discovered. Don't worry, I know im getting dugg down. I don't mind harboring an unpopular opinion so long as I consider it the truth.
- Rikety, on 07/01/2008, -2/+26Could it be that the administration doesn't want the 'cause' for the War on Terror to lose it's sole focal point? If so, then the lying just won't stop.
- roostersheep, on 01/16/2009, -1/+25One thing worth noting about terrorist attacks is that the attackers are always proud to claim it as their own. Didn't Osama Bin Laden say he had nothing to do with the 9/11 attacks? Then a slightly darker bearded, younger looking and ambidextrous Bin Laden said he is responsible while sat in front of a camera with Vaseline smeared on its lens. I don't know, I might have dreamt all of that, but I thought I read that somewhere.
- inactive, on 07/01/2008, -0/+23worst president and worst congress.
- o0joshua0o, on 07/01/2008, -1/+23Criticizing the Bush administration != insulting Sep 11 victims
In fact, if one of my relatives had died as a result of this administration's incompetence, I would hate it MORE, not less. - Nidy1, on 07/01/2008, -1/+22@username7D8- As a fireman with friends and family who went to help after the attack, trust me, I feel your sentiment. However, it is that type of attitude and guilt that stops the truth from being found if something is wrong. Was there a conspiracy? I don't think so, but it's disgracing everyone who died NOT to investigate it completely.
- DavidThaGnome, on 07/01/2008, -4/+24Didn't that pretty lady Bhutto say Bin Laden was offed a while ago right before she was offed herself?
- Sil369, on 07/01/2008, -6/+24Terrorist!!!
- orlyfactor, on 07/01/2008, -5/+21Thank god they got Ron Jeremy for the thumbnail pic
- orph3us, on 07/01/2008, -2/+18what if its true? It doesn't hurt to probe a little further. The fact that the Bin Laden family was very rich and politically connected gives credence to that line of thinking.
- pablo82, on 07/01/2008, -3/+18The neocons need Bin Laden to stay at large because he is their boogey man. If he is caught they have a big problem as they will have to either;
A. End the 'war on terror', thus giving people back all their civil liberties etc.
B. Continue the 'war on terror', thus making people realise that trying to defeat an ideology is impossible through the use of force as it can always resurface through future generations or others drawn to it. Then it may dawn on people that the war on Afghanistan/ Iraq had nothing to do with terrorism and everything to do with resources.
As we can see, neither option would be attractive to the Bush regime. That said, the ironic 'no country is allowed to develop WMD's (except us and our allies)' is a suitable replacement to continue the never ending madness of these sociopaths.
The US may be the perfect case example of 'do as I say, not as I do'.
WMD's, torture, rigged elections, media manipulation (and outright lies), unequal treatment of citizens etc. The US is coming along nicely...
Conclusion? Follow your constitution. It would be better for all of us. - Carl306, on 07/01/2008, -8/+23From Bush's perspective, capturing Osama Bin Laden won't help us get any oil resources, hence the reason he is not a top priority for the current administration.
- Barackalypse, on 07/01/2008, -7/+22Obviously Karl Rove has orchestrated this to help McCain in the election because he realizes people still think the Democrats are weak on terror! If Osama is caught, people will think that terror attacks are less likely, and thus they'd have less reason to vote against Obama. Although I hear that he has an alternate plan to have McCain personally capture Osama at an Obama campaign office, thus making Obama look like a terrorist collaborator and McCain a hero.
- MattH, on 07/01/2008, -0/+14Ron has a weapon of mAss destruction
- casek, on 07/01/2008, -2/+16sorry about your uncle username, but it would be worthwhile to have a new investigation.
a lot more went down on that day than most americans think.
what i think is insulting is that we were lied to over and over. even the first responders on that horrible day
are getting sick and dying and does the whitehouse care? nope.
again, sorry for your loss. - MelvinSchlubman, on 07/01/2008, -3/+17It's more useful to Bush to leave bin Laden out there. That's one more tool for using fear to scare Americans into voting for Republicans.
- Branchex, on 07/01/2008, -5/+19You think Bush would want to find him as it seems like the only thing that would bring his approval ratting up.
- inactive, on 07/01/2008, -6/+20Capturing Osama would require pissing off Pakistan. Simple as that. The tribes on Pakistan's western border with Afghanistan are uncontrolled and certainly uncontrollable. If Osama is hiding amongst them as many say then there is no way we can find him. A. The Pakistan government doesn't have control of the area, even if the area is part of Pakistan. B. The Pakistan government has made it clear that any attempt to simply invade and capture Osama would be viewed as a invasion. C. The Pakistan that was friendly to us is slipping away. D. Not a prayer that the Pakistan government would demand that the western Pakistan tribes hand over Osama. E. Pakistan has nukes and a real army, invading Iraq is a cakewalk to what war with Pakistan would be. Basically invading Pakistan is something we cannot afford.
- bendiggn, on 07/01/2008, -4/+18That is not Saddam Hussein.
That is Khalid Sheikh Mohammed. - Minarchian, on 06/30/2008, -9/+23Could that be because Bin Laden is actually dead, murdered by Omar Shiekh?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UnychOXj9Tg - Jareth86, on 07/01/2008, -9/+22Of course they are, there's no need. They've already got him.
They'll bring him out some time in October to give McCain that extra bump he needs to get into the whitehouse. - falseflagUSA, on 07/01/2008, -4/+17DEAD! DEAD! DEAD! DEAD! DEAD!
Bin Laden is Bushies favorite boogie man. - Elranzer, on 07/01/2008, -2/+15Osama bin Laden is the bogeyman that scares Americans into voting Republican. It's against Bush's agenda for Bin Laden to be captured/dead.
- inactive, on 07/01/2008, -0/+13Sorry to hear about your dog.
- dafragsta, on 07/01/2008, -1/+12OK, I REALLY didn't mean to say Obama. That was an honest brain-fart. God damn... that was bad.
- dmightx, on 09/21/2008, -0/+11Yeah... someone somewhere can't take something thats called a joke...
There must be plenty of sense of humor there... - charm803, on 07/01/2008, -3/+14Just send them to Gitmo........problem solved!
From what I hear, it's like a vacation over there. Bush will love it! - inactive, on 07/01/2008, -5/+16Who will tell this president what everyone but him already knows? The theory of evolution. And the times tables. And where the sun goes at night. And that Iraq is already three different countries. And that everyone hates us and we've run our military into the ground and the Taliban is back and we still haven't caught bin Laden and the economy is tanking and we wasted eight years blowing the oil companies while the Earth is melting. We had a pretty nice house when this Cat in the Hat of presidents came in and made the mess of all time. And who's going to clean it all up — John McCain?
- JoeyDeacon, on 07/01/2008, -7/+18Bin Laden already won. Every thing that has happened since 911 has been an unmitigated disaster and the west is failing because of it. We played into his hands and our liberty and economy are destroyed because of it.
- inactive, on 07/01/2008, -0/+10yes... yes we are that stupid. and i'll probably be getting re-activated along w/ a ton of other guys when it all goes to *****. gotta love that mso!
