- SoyJames, on 12/08/2007, -11/+96That's funny (haha) ABC, except that blimps don't have "hot air" in them. (They have truth gas, and you can't handle the Truth)
- inactive, on 12/08/2007, -17/+77Classic! ** RON PAUL 2008 **
Join the R [ƎVO˩] UTION BaBY !!
I can't wait for George Stephanopolous to eat his words. Ron Paul is taking the White House! - Slightfade, on 12/08/2007, -14/+72I gave $100
- jabbertone, on 12/08/2007, -8/+55Blimp! Now thats cool!
- RedMullet, on 12/08/2007, -6/+48"What will the blimp do in New Hampshire?
The blimp is very social. It wants to get its picture taken with every candidate in the race, and will be attending a lot of their functions." - heypetray, on 12/08/2007, -4/+43Thanks for linking to page 4. If you'd like to read the whole article, make sure you jump back to the front page.
- LordSkywalker, on 12/08/2007, -9/+45The MSM is finally starting to pay attention. After the Tea Party, their coverage of Paul and the millions of his supporters will expand to the extent of the other MSM candidates. This is especially good news since Paul has a stance on religion many religious people would like, allowing for tons of Romney followers to see who is really sincere and honest. And with over $11 million already raised, an estimated $6-8 million for the 16th, and the other 3 weeks of Dec. (est. $3 million), that would bring the 4th Quarter total to about $20 MILLION. Big news indeed.
- gab00n, on 12/08/2007, -2/+34I doubt anyone agrees with Ron Paul on everything but if he did get elected and killed the IRS, Federal Reserve(before they kill him) and The War On Drugs, as he says he will then he would be the best president ever.
- LordSkywalker, on 12/08/2007, -5/+30Just FYI, it's not not. It's naught. Or nought. Did that make sense... or not?
- wishninja, on 12/08/2007, -3/+27It is worth the money just to be part of the fun. I have hope at least, I mean who buys a lotto ticket expecting to win? After years and years of seeing Bush on the TV being president and thinking there will be no end. I am 32 now so I got to vote against Clinton in the second term and against Bush twice so this has been the only positive political experience I have had. I can't imagine going to the primaries and casting my very first vote FOR someone. Good times! To donate and dream of a better day is better then to feel sidelined.
- Corrosionx, on 12/08/2007, -13/+36Shut up stupid
- ReturnToFreedom, on 12/08/2007, -3/+22There are two ways Ron Paul can win the nomination.
1) We sway the Rudy zombies into supporting Ron Paul. We need the people who don't like to dig to deep into who to vote for and generally rely on MSM coverage of candidates. It's a tough battle but may creative ideas by smart freedom sympathizers have already helped.
2) Every single Ron Paul supporter actually goes out and votes as turnout isn't all the great for typical MSM backed candidates. Don't forget how important it is for Ron Paul supporters to become delegates.
Of course, having both of these is even better than having either or. - Malarie, on 12/08/2007, -4/+20RP is officially blimped!!
RP2008!! Good luck Americans. - crinzema, on 12/08/2007, -3/+19i think Ron Paul should have 3 or 4 blimps patrolling primary states
- Minarchian, on 12/08/2007, -5/+20By your replies, and the few others that hate limited government here at digg, I see that you have been breathing too much denial gas mixed with lie serum.
- orangefly, on 12/08/2007, -3/+17you won't hear much from anyone if hillary or rudy get elected(appointed)....
you won't be able to say anything but heil - hiphoc, on 12/08/2007, -1/+15I cant wait for George Snuffulupogus to eat *****. He was so smug to Gravel and Paul, wanted to punch him in the face. Its like he knows something we dont. its that smug elite ***** I hate.
- SoyJames, on 12/08/2007, -9/+21Citations, please.
- ScornedPatriot, on 12/08/2007, -0/+12I am in the same exact boat! I'm tired of voting for the lesser of two evils; blindly showing up on election day and casting a vote my heart isn't in. This time around I'm even going to vote in the primary for someone I actually support. It is a very very welcome change indeed!
- someguyouknow, on 12/08/2007, -5/+16I plan on it on December 16th.
- purzzzell, on 12/08/2007, -1/+11not really - november 5th did 4.2, and the tea party is slated to do drastically more.
*****, if we give 6m for the tea party (wholly realistic) with what they have already, that's 17m alone.
and by the tea party, it should easily be up to 12m anyway...
[/babbling] - Beatmiser, on 12/08/2007, -1/+11Interesting... so people who are willing to grassroots up $10+ Million Dollars aren't likely to vote eh...? I'd like a subsription to your magazine of crazy.
- borninda818, on 12/08/2007, -2/+11Yeah but try to give a little something to the blimp as well, It is very important that the blimp stays in the air until at least the NH primaries or until they lose the inevitable lawsuit.
- wupike, on 12/08/2007, -3/+12page 4 failure
- purzzzell, on 12/08/2007, -2/+11MSM ATTENTION ALERT!!
If you search "Ron Paul" on google news, you can see that NUMEROUS other MSM outlets are reporting on the blimp and the grassroots effort that's putting it in the air. Washington Post, FoxNews, and Boston Globe (with 3 articles alone?) are some of the other outlets beside ABC that are reporting on this event!
And the thing ain't even filled with air, let alone flying yet! This is what we've been waiting for! - purzzzell, on 12/08/2007, -3/+12Wow - and Romney gets support from Mormons. Huck from rapists, and Giuliani from Terrorists.
Believe me, a lot of RP supporters are regular middle class americans - but the truthers, brothel owners, and neo-nazis that support him make for better stories and allow the media to keep him pegged as a loon.
And ***** Off NFF - look at his voting record for his congressional terms. Real phony, isn't it? - CannedMango, on 12/08/2007, -1/+10You used a blimp to help you run for school president?
- rebrad, on 12/08/2007, -0/+9Sometimes even ABC News gets it right. It doesn't take a genius in this case though.
- OrangeTide, on 12/08/2007, -2/+11People who are Ron Paul fans are mainly looking for reform. He's one of the few guys who promises wide reaching reform. It's hard to get jazzed up about leaders who just promise to protect us from some vague threat or focus on attacking their opponents.
I think Rudy has a lot of political momentum, and I'd rather have a guy like Rudy who would preserve the status quo than Hillary who seems to offer some narrow reform in a direction I do not like (healthcare). But I'd rather have Al Gore's sort of wide reform over Rudy and Hillary, but he doesn't appear to be running. (and I'd take Ron Paul over Al Gore, and Ron Paul is actually running) - inactive, on 12/08/2007, -8/+17Is that all you can do is copy and paste your replies? You're more original than the "spammers" as you Anti-Ron Paul trolls claim the millions of us are.
- caplist, on 12/08/2007, -2/+10Ron Paul is the greatest threat to rich white guys in the history of this country.
- desertDenizen, on 12/08/2007, -0/+8And blimps travel in naughtical miles.
- h3smith, on 12/08/2007, -1/+9I wasn't aware brothel owners, nazi's, 9/11 truthers weren't allowed to vote and exercise their constitutional rights. the more you know!
- JlmAWP, on 12/08/2007, -5/+13Better than being full of *****.
- themonkman, on 12/08/2007, -1/+9OrangeTide, I don't know about that. Many people here in CA hate the IRS, hate overregulation, and have lots of money that they'd like to hold on to. Everyone I introduce to Ron Paul loves his positions and messages. I've already gotten 10 Democrat friends registered now as Republican just so they can vote for Paul in the Primaries. Three of them now are planning on attending the Iowa Caucus as delegates, too.
- heypetray, on 12/08/2007, -5/+13I'm sure they will when most of the revenue from their advertising comes from viewers that support him.
- luke374, on 12/08/2007, -2/+10Everything about this campaign is truly inspiring. If we don't win this, you guys wanna chip in for an island and start our own country?
- jmpeagle, on 12/08/2007, -2/+10not to be a negative nancy, but I think you are right. I think 18 million is much more likely. He only pulls in about an average of 400,000 per week on non-money bomb weeks.
- banmaster, on 12/08/2007, -1/+9Helium is not classically considered to be hot air!
- themonkman, on 12/08/2007, -0/+8I actually believe that the other candidates will have less of a turnout of their so called supporters, proportionally, than Ron Paul will. The people that believe in Ron Paul have enormous fervor, and for good reason. Just yesterday on my way home from work I saw a enormous 300 sq/ft lighted sign on this mountainside facing the interstate that had Paul's name on it. I'm pretty certain that guys going to vote, just as I am. I have the feeling that your candidate supporters (if he/she is in the top 3) will likely rest on your laurels and poll data and think "He/She's going to win it anyways. Why even bother leaving my house for the primaries" while I guarantee you nearly all of the Ron Paul supporters will be filling up the ballot box and take you from behind. Literally.
- Godlike, on 12/08/2007, -3/+11"But they have raised more than $150,000 and ""hope to be raise"" more than $400,000 soon."
They don't even read what they put in the news before they post it anymore, do they? - scubasteve377, on 12/08/2007, -1/+8@catfish "i am a douchebag for what i feel."
No, you are a douchebag for presenting lies and half truths as fact. You are a douchebag for saying ***** that is either completely untrue (like the racist quotes) or that you've left out vital information (like **why** Paul voted against the Rosa Parks medal and the fact he offered up some of his own money to pay for it) in order to serve your own agenda. When you actually give people the entire story, they realize that voting against the medal does not make him a racist, but instead makes him a responsible steward of taxpayer dollars (as in money that's not his and that politicians have no right to spend on whatever feel-good, wishy-washy, pandering ***** that might pop into their heads). You did this again in your subsequent post: "he can offer money but did he do it? no he didnt." No, you're right he didn't, in fact, actually give the money. I'm sure this has nothing to do with the fact that A) nobody else agreed to pitch in, and B) it passed 424 to 1 to use tax money to pay for it.
And I am sure Stormfront members do agree with him on something. Just a shot in the dark here, but uh, maybe its Paul's support of the First Amendment. That is kind of a big issue for people who go around spewing ignorant racist ***** all day. You see, Paul is not a hypocrite. He believes that all speech, including hateful and offensive speech, is protected by the Constitution and you know what? I agree with him, too. You know what else? I believe that the sky is blue and I have it on good authority that many prominent members of Stormfront also believe that the sky is, in fact, blue. I guess that makes me a racist by association, right? I like ice cream, too. You know who else liked ice cream? That's right, Hitler. Who knows how many more ice-cream-loving, Nazi, racist, blue-sky theorists could be out there. I doubt we'll ever know for sure. One thing we do know is that you, sir, are a colossal douchebag. - Chibigoten, on 12/08/2007, -1/+8Well we have a big ass blimp now.
How about a Tank? http://www.ronpaultank.com
Or a tiny little blimp? http://www.ronpaulminiblimp.com - tech42er, on 12/08/2007, -1/+8That's idiotic. They're so passionate about Ron Paul that I'm sure they'll vote.
- purzzzell, on 12/08/2007, -2/+9You only validate us more by talking *****.
- tynch_town, on 12/08/2007, -3/+10I live about an hour away from Elizabeth City, I'll try to get pics.
- adwarereport, on 12/08/2007, -1/+8amazing. simply amazing. I saw this website when it first started and pledged $100, back when there was only about $3,000 or so raised. My skepticism about Ron Paul winning is leaving me by the day. Two traditional republicans I've talked to are scared that Ron Paul could actually win. Now the blimp. He's got a shot. A real good shot.
- purzzzell, on 12/08/2007, -1/+8why do you think that?
- heypetray, on 12/08/2007, -3/+10And old media is catching on and adapting. They obviously realize what's going on and they want to tap into it.
- purzzzell, on 12/08/2007, -1/+8income tax in it's current form has existed for less than 100 years (since 1913) - took about ten years to get rid of prohibition and write it off forever as a mistake in our history - it's very possible that the same thing could happen to income tax, just taking a century instead of a decade.
