I think Americans are mortally afraid of gay sex, even if it means missing out on some juicy gossip. We look away because we can't look at all. If anything, those White House logs helped this administration tighten down even further on the policy of not putting anything in writing.

I remember a few years ago I was on a trip to Washington D.C. I found it amusing that the first thing I found when I went into the hotel room was a phonebook on the nightstand, opened up to the "Escort" page. We could see the lights from Pennsylvania avenue from the window. Thought it was interesting that there was a whole thirty+ page section devoted to Escort services in the D.C. area. It all makes sense now.
