- dukeeeey, on 10/10/2007, -24/+78Typical isn't it. The mainstream media is talking about gay bathroom sex meanwhile in the background patriots are fighting for their country.
You need a permit to protest ? LOL what country is this. What happened to freedom to assemble ? You realise they simply DONT hand out permits to protest, therefore effectively banning protesting. You know they've also tried to ban video camers in NYC too ? How many freedoms are you prepared to lose ? Is this land of the FREE home of the brave ? Or land of the cowards home of the slaves ? - alittlebrookie, on 10/10/2007, -26/+78Geraldo and Fox just doing their thing. 9/11 Truthers can't stand in the way of all that serious reporting .
- Kewlduderules, on 10/10/2007, -18/+67I have lived in NyC for many years. In the past, you had many groups protesting without permits and the NYPD did absolutely nothing whether it be from bicycle groups, gay advocacy groups, puerto rican or dominican groups, and others. The whole thing about needing a permit is absolute nonsense which I would think most New Yorkers are not in agreement. Enforcement is clearly politically motivated.
I don't care if you think there is a conspiracy against the song "Kombya", you should have the right to protest regardless, especially as it pertains to 9/11.
I hope you all realise that the majority of New Yorkers believe the government is not telling the truth about 9/11. - ladybroadoak, on 10/10/2007, -26/+66Are you brain dead? This rocked. The total hypocracy of FREEDOM of looking like a scag takes precendent over finding out The Truth as it affects millions of people. I can flash all the skin I like, but not be able to think? or express my opinion on the streets of America without being demonized?
- jyoung100a, on 10/10/2007, -31/+70Thanks for the free publicity Geraldo. The truth bled through your truly inane TV spot.
- terrordome, on 10/10/2007, -16/+49If you can't protest without a permit, you have no freedom at all.
- freecon, on 10/10/2007, -23/+54What do you have a man crush on Geraldo, now? Geraldo got owned that night. What a journalist, doing stories on hooters girls not allowed on airplane for dressing like a whore and gay sex in public restrooms. I guess they got their target audience if you tuned in.
- Phearce, on 10/10/2007, -6/+33@Gawtmilk: I'm LMFAO. Public places aren't for free speech. That's either one of the best pieces of /SARCASM ever, or you're an idiot. Either way, hysterical.
- StatusWoe, on 10/10/2007, -6/+31I really enjoyed the comment he made just before the segway to the restroom sex part. What a dumbass.
" I bet all the protesters behind me are into reststop gay sex"
Class - catalysis, on 10/10/2007, -4/+26I like how you capitalized The Truth like it's some kind of cult or something.
- gharding, on 10/10/2007, -6/+26God, I hate Geraldo.
- IIIKrazyKiDDIII, on 10/10/2007, -8/+28There are conspiracies and there are facts... Don't discount the facts along with the conspiracies. :)
- hambend, on 10/10/2007, -2/+21Typical? That was surreal.
"This is why we live in a free country. We are free to wear what we want to wear as long as it's not offensive."
Isn't that, like, you know, the first amendment? - 44Bigs, on 10/10/2007, -9/+28"We've been surrounded by an activist--radical--I don't know, Communist group. I don't know who the hell they are," says Rivera
Communists? Come on man, this is 2007 - Elderon, on 10/10/2007, -4/+22shoot I timed out.
As for geraldo, I lost any remaining respect I might of had for him when he resorted to calling the protesters anarchists and gay sex lovers instead of using rational and intelligent thought. - Elderon, on 10/10/2007, -6/+23My personal opinion is that this whole needing a permit thing is *****. It is a right given to the citizens from the constitution, not the government. I can see needing to register if you were going to use a certain facility for your protest, but you shouldn't need it for the protest itself.
- arjie, on 10/10/2007, -11/+27I'm not a supporter of those loony Truth brigade, but that Geraldo guy looks retarded and ... communists? Is he really that stupid?
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -2/+17Geraldo is a moustache that grew something.
- Bob24, on 10/10/2007, -6/+21hmm so we should all walk around the streets silently to satisfy your notion that sidewalks are built SOLELY for walking?
i don't think so...or maybe i missed the footnote on the consitution that states "Oh but none of the above applies on the street" - diggerydood, on 10/10/2007, -8/+21Twenty years ago, even my granny said that the government knew about Pearl Harbor before it happened. It takes a lot of motivation to get citizens to go to war. You'll see it differently when they start the draft.
- irvman21, on 10/10/2007, -17/+30Raw Story sends you a free tin foil hat for every story you submit to digg.
- raitchison, on 10/10/2007, -16/+28"Geraldo and guests do their best to ignore the protest, focusing on more important issues such as the Hooters waitress booted off the plane, Larry Craig's bathroom sex arrest and a dog that died in a hot car."
The funny thing is that all of those are actually more important than anything that the so-called "truthers" have to say. - omnithought, on 10/10/2007, -5/+16Yup, according to the Constitution, the entire country is supposed to be a "free speech zone".
- chockZ, on 10/10/2007, -3/+14Look at that *****-eating grin of Geraldo as he says "Hypocrisy is awful" at 5:52. He looks like he is having a hard time keeping a straight face.
- Segment, on 10/10/2007, -7/+18Geraldo is one of the most bastardly reporters in the world.
- jgaba24, on 10/10/2007, -2/+13I see nothing changes around here except for Gawtmilk...who is amazingly turning into more of a dumbass
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -18/+29Oh yes... the truth about 9/11... that some crazy wackos hijacked some planes and crashed them into buildings.. That truth .. the truth we've known for 6 years.
- Vinadetta, on 10/10/2007, -27/+38Fox is such trash, I can't believe that they still have an audience, I guess there are a lot of people with only 2 brain cells. I love how everyone rips on Alex Jones, yet is one of the few Americans who stands up for what he believes and makes himself heard!!! You have to give the guy credit. You only have to be a little smarter than Miss Teen South Carolina to understand that 9-11 WAS AN INSIDE JOB!!!
- SaintDogbert, on 10/10/2007, -36/+45Alex Jones vs. Geraldo, why couldn't they both have disappeared into a giant sinkhole of suck?
- RollFizzlebeef, on 10/10/2007, -17/+26Not defending Geraldo or Fox News, but what point were the protestors trying to make? Fox News was just doing a remote; they weren't discussing 9/11 or the "Truth movement".
Jones had to have known the police were going to break it up. He sits in a cell for a few hours, bam - free publicity, and his zombie hoard lionize him even more. - medicis, on 10/10/2007, -8/+17To: doctorfungi. Personally, I don't regard 'Free Speech Zone' Controls on free speech and assembly to be valid laws. They violate the Constitution and they are designed for authoritarian control of the people. Ghandi was also violating British Law. Do you believe Ghandi was "inappropriate"? Do you believe our Founding Fathers were "inappropriate"? There was no riot or violence in NY except that which the police perpetrated. Get a clue. You want to live in a little fascist/communist dictatorship, go to China. I'm sure the laws there would please you no end. Dr. rdw
- trenchcoat, on 10/10/2007, -6/+15From the "article"..
Mark Geragos contends with a man with a loudspeaker, who was later arrested and identified as 33-year-old Alex Jones, prominent figure in the 9/11 Truth Movement.
So that's why the Alex Jones game brigade is out in full force. - joelm2400, on 10/10/2007, -2/+11Just a quick comment. I watched this clip and right now I still dont know what to say. It seems to me that instead of taking an opportunity to try and truly be unbiased (as our media is theoretically supposed to be) and try and find out whats going on, Geraldo said some truly horrible things. Its things like this that make me want to be come more politically active.
- IIIKrazyKiDDIII, on 10/10/2007, -5/+14I could either talk to my friend on the phone or I can simply turn around and talk to him face to face. I think the later is allowed on streets.
- NEWTFMOVIEISGAY, on 10/10/2007, -2/+10the consitution is the only permit you need to protest...
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -5/+13With all these people reporting explosions, why did FEMA not test the debris for explosives?
- raitchison, on 10/10/2007, -15/+23Sure there was a conspiracy that has been proven lots of times, a conspiracy among Al Queda terrorists to hijack commercial airlines and fly them into buildings.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -11/+19Say what you want about alex jones. I mean, there are some legitimate criticisms. The simple fact is though, that alex goes out and actually busts his ass to protest, and he gets arrested doing it. No fat ass like michael moore, or anyone else actually takes to the streets and shows they actually believe in what they're doing. Alex has balls, and that's enough. Name one ass face on clear channel radio, or anywhere who does this? They sit in their safe little booth, and mouth off about everything they hate and how the world is falling apart, but they are isolated, protected little ***** compared to alex.
- raitchison, on 10/10/2007, -10/+17The problem with the actual truth is that it makes no money for Alex Jones, while the "truth" does.
- JAVandiver, on 10/10/2007, -2/+9Does the above comment make any sense to anyone? Bueller? Bueller?
- joel2600, on 10/10/2007, -5/+12the point the protesters were trying to make is that they want the truth from the government. ... hell, i want the truth from our government. thank god we still have people in america that care enough to stand up for what the rest of us are too lazy to fight for. i'm driving to nyc after work to join these brave souls.
- raitchison, on 10/10/2007, -6/+13But Loose Change is a video on the internets, and they even have the word "truth" in their name, why aren't you convinced yet? You must be a NWO (or is it CENTCOM this week?) shill.
- Almadiel, on 10/10/2007, -10/+17People also have a right not to listen to off the wall conspiracy theorists.
- joel2600, on 10/10/2007, -6/+13you need to stop lumping these protestors in with conspiracy theorists. i know for an absolute certantiy that the thin layer of crap that was spread across the main stream media is not the truth. i want to know the truth about what really happened. does this automatically mean that i'm assuming the government was involved? NO, I JUST WANT SOME GOD DAMN ANSWERS... and it's for this reason i'm joining the protest.
- kesam, on 10/10/2007, -2/+9He wantet to say "terrorist" but even he realized that wouldn't fly.
- rondeth, on 10/10/2007, -7/+14Amen to that. Check out the History Channel's show on the 9/11 conspiracies. They have interviews with, you know, actual EXPERTS in their fields. Scientists, engineers, et cetera to counteract the allegations made by the Loose Change tards and others. Lots of noise going on, but it would seem to me that most if not all of the 'troothers' points have been refuted by (gasp!) science.
- dukeeeey, on 10/10/2007, -12/+19http://www.cremationofcare.com/images/prs/30-11-1941_japanmaystrike.JPG
yeah what an idiot ! - 2reflective, on 10/10/2007, -2/+9Conspiracy theories are just theories, so let's deal with the facts at hand.
There are many firefighters and other rescue workers who are currently suffering from asbestos poisoning of the lungs (asbestosis), yet few are giving them any attention in the mainstream media anymore (they are too busy discussing sex scandals).
These brave men and woment are tired, breathless and in constant pain; yet the only people who come to their aid and shout for them when they can no longer shout themselves are instantly dismissed as gay commie anarchists by people like Geraldo who will never have to worry about health insurance in their life.
The MSM may have forgotten about the suffering of the 9/11 rescue workers after their initial moment of hero worship, but the guys at www.wearechange.org have not. They are the true American Heros in my eyes. - Caffeinate, on 10/10/2007, -3/+9The biggest problems we have in this country stem from people NOT taking to the streets. What the hell is wrong with our nation? What the hell is wrong with people asking questions? Is it suddenly an unspeakable sin?
If the people in this nation think a Hooter's waitress being asked to leave a plane is a bigger story than people demonstrating in the streets then there just isn't a whole lot of hope left for us. I don't agree with everything the truthers say, but I do find it extremely suspicious that with Google Earth I can see my house from satellite, but I'm expected to believe that the government is so behind that they don't know hijacked planes are flying into the Pentagon and the WTC before they see it on the news. That doesn't mean the government is behind it - but it does mean we have some awfully ***** incompetent people in power. If that isn't news, I don't know what is. - loganhid, on 10/10/2007, -6/+12That guy looks like a modern day 'Super Mario'
