There are many, many reasons, but the easiest way to explain to people who weren't involved in our local politics at the time is; think about why both the NYPD and the FDNY unions refuse to support him. So, maybe it's just my group of friends and family but...what makes this guy a front runner...landline based telephone polls??? Millions from special interests? Sounds like a douche to me, listen to the people from his area that knew him, they all hate him.

It takes a truly brave man to make speeches on 9/11. It doesn't matter that he didn't help in the rescue effort and that he spent more time at Yankee's games than at ground zero. He was too busy politicizing!
