- sratiug, on 11/07/2008, -0/+8unreal. insanity. stupidity. robbery.
- jonahtrainer, on 11/07/2008, -0/+7This is crazy! The 1792 Coinage Act needs a fresh look: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QnFa4o6Fb0I
- StilesBC, on 11/07/2008, -0/+7Nobody could possibly be surprised by this. Ron Paul and many others told us this is exactly what would happen. Once again, government's loyal support of large corporations (democrat and republican) trump the financial independance of taxpayers. Corporate Fascism is what it is called anywhere else. In America it's called democracy.
- inactive, on 11/08/2008, -0/+3And the auto makers want ANOTHER bailout.
Didn't we give them 25 billion last month? LOL.
This is too funny. They just keep printing the ***** like it doesn't matter.
Capitalism FAIL. - PeppermintPig, on 11/08/2008, -0/+3A business which does not create profit and value for its customers is not a business. It's either bankrupt, or bailed out.

- Lucille2, on 11/10/2008, -0/+2Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.
Barney Frank is defending the Fed's uber-secrecy rather than demanding the transparency as was made law under TARP. Gee, I wonder why?
Obama does not represent change, but rather a continuum of the same loose credit, loose monetary, bubble-inflating policies that created this mess. Obama - More of the Same.
I, for one, welcome our depression-creating, Corporatist-Democrat overlords.
Bush = Hoover and Obama = FDR (and that is not, in any way, shape or form, a compliment to the Big BO). - UnrealMiniMe, on 11/14/2008, -0/+1This isn't free market capitalism, though...it's state capitalism, and there's a huuuuge difference.
- vkevin, on 11/14/2008, -0/+0A fixed ratio of top and bottom pay in a corporation and also in nation; such as 40:1 or 30:1. This will ensure that progress of a company and nation benefit all. It should be implemented with strong check on corruption and weeding out of bottom performers. It is no socialism or communism -- it is accountable, ethical and progressive capitalism. free market capitalism is free-for-all and thus failed.
