- neognostic, on 08/06/2008, -1/+19Bush, McCain and the neocons don't want to find Bin Laden. If they did catch him then they couldn't scare the morons who still back them.
- inactive, on 08/06/2008, -2/+12If they catch him, they have to keep him isolated and quickly kill him, just like Saddam.
Then you don't have any embarrassing contradictions of your official stories. - MrBucket6, on 08/06/2008, -1/+11Osama bin Laden is nothing more than a propaganda tool for this administration.
- treehugger87, on 08/06/2008, -0/+7
That's a load of crap and you know it. First of all, there was nothing to imply that Bin Laden was behind the 1993 attacks on the twin towers. Those who were behind it were caught, tried and imprisoned (http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,236541,00.html ...
When Clinton hit Sudan and Afghanistan with cruise missiles in 1998 (http://www.cnn.com/US/9808/20/us.strikes.02/ ) in a direct attempt to kill Bin Laden the bombs landed within hours of their intended target. The right wing immediately accused him of trying to distract us all from the Lewinsky scandal. - wishninja, on 08/06/2008, -0/+6That is your justification for Bush to ignore a direct warning of an eliminate threat? lol You guys love to just wallow in the ignorance. That is your defense on everything bbbbut Clinton did such and such. ***** Republicans have an excuse for everything cept that their hero's are ***** for brains. Clinton was a douche but why don't you expect more?
- AddiX, on 08/07/2008, -0/+4i try my best not to be a conspiracy theorist, but we shouldnt forget that the CIA used to work with Bin Laden. Im not trying to get all Zgiest on you guys or nothing.
But *****, when the CIA works with someone, it seems they usually have them by the balls.
Just saying... - Vigilo, on 08/07/2008, -1/+5Bin Laden has been dead for years and criminal elements of the US government teamed with foreign 3rd party intelligence agencies like MI6 and Mossad planned and funded the the attacks.
Building 7 wasn't hit by a plane and it collapsed, Dick Cheney ordered a stand down during the attacks and here is Transport secretary Norman Mineta testifying on that fact http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=bDfdOwt2v3Y and the US had drawn up plans to do a similar type of False Flag 60 years ago in Operation Northwoods here is the wiki page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Northwoods.
9/11 was a False Flag folks like Gulf of Tonkin and the USS Liberty. Research for yourselves and wake the fack up. - gonzap1, on 08/07/2008, -0/+4Trust me when when Obama becomes their next president, I would be saying the same thing. The ass raping the people get will never change just the players. The "change" talk is just the illusion that your voice actually matters. It doesn't. Just like the late George Carlin said, " There is big ass club and you aint't in it"
- willierab, on 08/07/2008, -1/+5He was too busy clearing brush on his ranch to worry about Bin Laden.
- bovox, on 08/07/2008, -0/+4I remember that time period vividly. Clinton actually did more to go after Bin Laden than George Bush ever did after 9/11. He launched cruise missile attacks. What did the Republican Party say about him at the time? They said he was just trying to "Wag the Dog". They did not want him to go after Bin Laden. The Republicans did everything they good to make it politically difficult for Clinton to kill Bin Laden.
- GhostyBoy, on 08/07/2008, -0/+4The memo was inaccurate.
Bin Laden has not struck the U.S. since this memo was released. The allegations against him are backed by no hard evidence whatsoever. - gonzap1, on 08/07/2008, -0/+4The correct operation northwoods link:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northwoods
I would love to see the people who say conspiracy theorists are crazy debunk this one. Anyhow, a conspiracy does not mean it is fake just that it is two or more people who are trying to fu@# up our country. I am sure we all know who these people are. Long live the Republic!
Give me Liberty or give me Death! - gonzap1, on 08/07/2008, -0/+3Trust me when when Obama becomes their next president, I would be saying the same thing. The ass raping the people get will never change just the players. The "change" talk is just the illusion that your voice actually matters. It doesn't. Just like the late George Carlin said, " There is big ass club and you aint't in it"
- wishninja, on 08/06/2008, -1/+4What Bush can remember about the memo:
Everything is going as planned. Your seat as global dictator is nearly secure.
What type of mood would you think he would be in if you were told the check is in the mail and you will soon be able to crown yourself king? - Hangly, on 08/07/2008, -0/+3Hangly's Razor: Never attribute to either malice or stupidity what can be just as adequately explained by both.
9/11 was both malicious and stupid. - woodrow8292, on 08/07/2008, -0/+3Did anyone actually read the memo mentioned? It says they were conducting 70 full fledged investigations into terrorist activity in the US. So why is this such a big deal? It's not like the memo said "On 9/11 there will be a huge attack on the US by terrorists flying planes in to the World Trade Center" It warns that there is the possibility of attacks on the US with no real specifics.
- inactive, on 08/07/2008, -1/+3It drives me crazy to think of Bush getting away with all his crimes and retiring in comfort to Argentina.
- endofnite, on 08/06/2008, -1/+3I think it was old Ronny Raygun that perfected the "I do not recall"
- GhostyBoy, on 08/07/2008, -0/+2Edyang presents a typical knee-jerk response along the same lines of "tin-foil hat" or "conspiracy theory".
There is nothing remotely crazy about the notion that the government orchestrated the attacks. Take a look at one of the most blatant smoking guns of 9/11, the astonishing collapse of WTC7:
youtube.com/watch?v=wZsvc1b2HjI - Detroiter7, on 08/07/2008, -0/+2What Bush wasn't supposed to do was devote every possible security and law enforcement resource to investigating political opponents, viz. liberals and Democrats. He wasn't supposed to hire prosecuting attorneys, for example, because of their political affiliation or their love of serving him. When he harnessed every bit of government to serve his personal political interest, the the success of America's enemies was assured.
- wunksta, on 08/07/2008, -0/+2that and MKULTRA lol and people believe our government is completely trustworthy
- insanebrain, on 08/07/2008, -0/+2How can you get a memo about something you are about to do yourself ?
- mithrasinvictus, on 08/07/2008, -0/+2The clinton administration briefed the bush administration on the dangers of al qaeda. Nothing was done about it.
- Akufen, on 08/09/2008, -0/+1Yet another smartass who can't seem to comprehend the intricate concept of patsies.
- Akufen, on 08/09/2008, -0/+1You've got one thing right. You "presume".
All you have are assumptions based on what you've heared. Second hand information. Do some investigation, you could today start realising that you're not as educated about the matter as you think. - Akufen, on 08/09/2008, -0/+1You best believe it was a warning of an impending attack, -scores- of intelligence agencies from all over the world said so. And the white house knew this, because they ordered members of government not to fly by plane during that period.
Not only did Bush "do nothing", he blocked investigations into Al-Qaeda (before and after 9/11) and on multiple occasions deliberately let him escape and on more than one occasion failed to give the order to shoot him down while snipers had him in his scope.
It's sad that the "Oh but Clinton is responsible" line popped up on the internet right after FOX started that. Did you suddenly think "oh yea that makes sense?" And then you're trying to argue that WE are the ones that should use our brain? My god man, you're nothing but a Bill O'Reilly clone.
Neither Bush or Clinton were interested in catching Bin Laden, they have both used, or let others in government use terror to their advantage. This isn't about left or right, this is about the power behind the power. And as long as you don't see that, you will dabble in that illusionary democrat vs republican paradigm forever.
I wonder though, who exactly is it that is telling these "liberal lies"?
I think it's high time for you wake up to the fact that there is no "liberal" media in the US, it's just right and far right. That's it. The problem with your country is that most media is so far to the right, you've started to believe that center right is liberal. You've been fed nothing but propaganda about this since the time you were 13 years old, I don't think you're a very good judge of the situation. - Akufen, on 08/09/2008, -0/+1Djeezes cruik, this is not just showing that he "missed an opportunity" but that he deliberately looked the other way. Why? I'm sure you can figure that out. But here's a few things he shouldn't have done if your claims of a mistake were right:
- blocking the investigations into Al-Qaeda before and after 9/11
- telling a few members of government not to travel by plane, instead of the public
- telling those in the tower that it was "safe" to go back in
- selling lies about the fact that he didn't know there was a threat
- sitting on his ass during the attack, knowing that he wasn't a target for some reason - Akufen, on 08/09/2008, -0/+1Is that why they blocked investigations into Al-Qaeda and moved the lead investigator and expert on the matter to something totally unrelated? Is that why they ordered members of government not to fly planes during that period? You haven't read the memo, you have seen one page out of a 10-16 page memo.
You also seem unaware that next to that memo, loads of intelligence agencies from all over the world sent warnings to the US.
These are NOT mistakes anymore, they knew damn well this was about to happen, they wanted it to happen, and they even MADE it happen. Stop trying to find excuses if you don't know half of what went on. - stone2020, on 08/07/2008, -0/+1So why did he only "Wag the Dog" once?
- Akufen, on 08/09/2008, -0/+1Keep looking and you'll answer your own questions. It's a lot more scary and incriminating than this little memo.
Read a book from Nafeez Ahmed or David Ray Griffin. - bestsoccerdog, on 08/08/2008, -0/+1Ok, a propaganda tool that killed over 3,000 innocent Americans. He's still a criminal that deserves to be tortured. That's more than a propaganda tool.
- floorman56, on 08/07/2008, -1/+2No, for conspiracy
What conspiracy? Remember at the time the FBI couldn't talk to the CIA so as far as the FBI knew ...They were students
When Bush changed that ...you guys said he was killing the Constitution - inactive, on 08/09/2008, -1/+2Ten years ago Thursday, bin Laden attacked two of our embassies in Africa.
This was after he formally declared war on the USA. There was even a front page story in Time or Newsweek.
What did Bill Clinton do? Nothing that mattered.
The point is, when Bush get a memo that bin Laden wanted to attack us, that was old news. - Akufen, on 08/09/2008, -0/+1Oh how inventive, you're only the 4th million person to make an attempt at being original with the tin foil hat joke.
Shall we talk facts, or is this really the extent of your own tought process? - Akufen, on 08/09/2008, -0/+1You're not being a conspiracy theorist when you suspect anyone else besides the hijackers were involved. You're just being realistic. Those who shout "conspiracy theorist" don't have anything else to go on, in fact, all they know about 9/11 is based on belief, not facts.
We still have no evidence that Bin Laden was behind this, we were promised the full set of evidence that the 19 hijackers were responsible years ago. Instead, they've had to admit that the hijackers did not leave a trace and that there is no evidence connecting Bin Laden to 9/11. - Akufen, on 08/09/2008, -0/+1Here's what he did do:
- blocked investigations into Al-Qaeda
- told members of government not to fly during that period
and after 9/11:
- let Bin Laden escape on multiple occassions
- flew his family out of the country
- refused to give the order to shoot down Bin Laden while snipers had him in his scope
- refused to accept Bin Laden from Afghanistan in return for evidence that he was behind the attacks
You know what they told the people who were working in the towers that day?
"It's ok, it's save to go back in!"
While they full well knew that at least 2 other planes were in the air.
Start connecting the dots instead of looking for excuses for these criminals. - Origin415, on 08/07/2008, -0/+1How many of _________s actually did strike the US before?
I would hope that if someone who previously bombed the WTC was determined to strike, they would put a little more weight on it then little Jimmy from down the street. - MacSuxWindozSux, on 08/07/2008, -0/+1Hard evidence?
Take a look at any of the photo's of the Pentagon on 9/11. Then take a look at a photograph of the type of plane they say made the hole.
It doesn't explain what happened, it doesn't prove much, it doesn't mean Bush is behind 9/11. It just means he's lying about that particular detail.
And it sits closely with another piece. A mysterious unmarked white plane seen by many people, yet there's no record of the flight, and an the government denied it's existence.
You know they're lying, but you don't know what about. - MacSuxWindozSux, on 08/07/2008, -0/+1Firms are paid to manipulate social media.
PR firms promote and bury comments and content relating to their clients.
AD firms promote comments and content about their clients products.
Both submit comments and content. - MacSuxWindozSux, on 08/07/2008, -0/+1Bill Clinton signed an order authorizing the CIA to kill Osama BinLaden.
- BotchaMcCoola, on 08/07/2008, -0/+1Certainly, US militarism is likely creating new numbers and levels of terrorist activity and revenge ideas, especially among the Iraqi refugees. Those that had kids turned into hamburger, lost their homes, businesses, etc. are not likely singing Kumbaya. But I am familiar with how well our FBI is doing, so they can bring on their best attempts and will very likely be foiled. I guess he FBI work can’t be publicized much but it is awesome, believe me.
- kd1s, on 08/08/2008, -0/+1Not to mention if they do catch him it'd be sure to be a public trial and he'd sing like a canary.
My guess is Bin Laden is either dead or in a safe house somewhere near D.C. - Hangly, on 08/07/2008, -1/+2Osama has been dead for 7 years.
- daanishrumani, on 08/07/2008, -0/+1Well then what explains the claim made hours after the Twin Tower Mishap that Al Qaeda is responsible?
- Hangly, on 08/07/2008, -1/+2No real natural resources? You're aware that a huge percentage of the world's opium poppies are grown there, right?
- wkenri, on 08/07/2008, -0/+1What's amazing about that memo is it was written by Dick Cheney.
- Hangly, on 08/07/2008, -0/+1He'll need the golf cart to carry around his dialysis machine.
- Hangly, on 08/07/2008, -0/+1And diggs in certain threads don't get recorded.
Screenshotted:
http://digg.com/software/Haha_ok_Digg_Quit_screwin ... - Hangly, on 08/07/2008, -0/+1Remember when Bush said he had conclusive evidence implicating Bin Laden but he couldn't show it to us? Then he said he showed it to Tony Blair and Blair said it was good solid evidence?
What was it he actually showed him?
"Heh heh. Dude, check out Miss November." - AllThisPaper, on 08/07/2008, -0/+1The reasons this memo would've stood out in Bush's mind are a) we know the via a leaked FBI memo (199I WF213589) that Bush had ordered FBI to back off the Bin Ladin investigaton b) his father had met with Bin Ladin's brother in the past (both involved with the Carlyle Group) and was scheduled to meet with him again later that fall (they met on 9/11 of all days!).
So, this wouldn't have been just another memo for Bush. He was familiar with the players involved and seemed to have a vested interested in allowing them to continue their business unfettered. Therefore, he did see, notice, and act accordingly when he saw this memo. Only problem is that his "act accordingly" is our "disgustingly betray your country." -
