67% Of Congressional GOP: No Iraq Exit Even If War Hasn’t Improved by Sept.

  • inactive, on 10/11/2007, -2/+4The gap between "we the people" and our elected leaders has grown so wide that it is obvious that they no longer represent us or have our interests in mind. I think we should all respond with our wallets, letters to them, letters to the media, blogs, comments, peaceful rallies and with our votes. Any politician that is in office that is not pushing for immediate withdrawal from Iraq will not get my vote. I hope others act too.

    By the way, isn't it time again for Congress to give themselves a raise?

    Question: "If the political and military situation in Iraq has not significantly improved by September, will Congress enact legislation to withdraw U.S. troops from Iraq?"

    Answer marked no: "It will pass Congress, but Bush will veto."

    Sounds like a yes to me...
