- mtnmusicman, on 11/09/2008, -15/+902He really needs to be careful, this country is full of wacko's.
- peestandingup, on 11/09/2008, -20/+683If (God forbid) someone does end up successfully offing him, this country will tear itself apart.
- cheesegypsy, on 11/09/2008, -12/+511Our massage therapist is a sane republican (a rare breed these days), and we live in a heavily Republican area. She told us that nearly half her clientele said they hoped Obama would be killed. I'm have no words to express my sadness in response to such sentiments. I place the blame for this squarely on the shoulders of those people who tried to swiftboat him and paint him as being a radical, a terrorist. and a socialist. I pray that sanity is restored to our country and that normally rational people will come to their senses.
- Shiloah, on 11/09/2008, -42/+540This is largely the fault of hate cheerleader Sarah Palin.
- o3rat, on 11/09/2008, -12/+487This is embarrassing.
- AlphaDrake, on 11/09/2008, -8/+386The thing is, it only takes one person to do it, which is the scary part...
- homercles337, on 11/09/2008, -25/+390For all of America, I just really hope he stays the ***** out of *real* America!
- algaeturd, on 11/09/2008, -14/+322The fundamentalist right is the most dangerous faction in America, hands down. Being uneducated and being full of hatred is a dangerous combination.
- dankenstein, on 11/09/2008, -3/+285Obama needs a popemobile
- ieee, on 11/09/2008, -14/+244President Bush didn't receive this quantity and type of death threats. That shows you the difference between the type of people that liberals are versus hardcore conservative.
- inactive, on 11/09/2008, -6/+225The people who hated Bush weren't a bunch of inbred, hateful racists. And furthermore, yeah, people didn't like him on an intellectual level, but it wasn't that fiery, primal rage like what you're seeing now.
- batmanz, on 11/10/2008, -3/+156The Hopemobile.
- clkou, on 11/09/2008, -16/+169Was anyone more hated that George W Bush? He wasn't assassinated ... so ...
- displacednomad, on 11/09/2008, -7/+153Last? So pessimistic.
As long as we foster a society of good people and demand accountability and action from our gov't there is hope. Don't pin it all on one man... or you're truly hopeless. - kris33, on 11/10/2008, -6/+131"Obama will likely become the first Muslim to be sworn in as President, on January 20, 2009, and could use the Koran for this purpose as a Congressman did. "
"Obama is the first person having ties to a known terrorist to gain control over America's nuclear weapons."
"Obama has consistently shown himself to be an elitist who looks down on "ordinary" Americans."
"Obama is pro-abortion."
WOW, this site consists of pure *****. - paintgrl, on 11/09/2008, -7/+132I just hope if someone tries to kill Obama that the person is ripped to pieces by an angry mob. I hate to have my tax dollars wasted on the jerks court hearings and jail stay.
- staffell, on 11/09/2008, -6/+119what the ***** kind of comment is that?
- darienphoenix, on 11/10/2008, -6/+108Yes, we really do.
Having Christian fundamentalists in control of the world's biggest nuclear arsenal is more than a little ***** TERRIFYING. - rhabd0mancer, on 11/09/2008, -12/+100Wingnuts don't want their guns confiscated, yet they go around making death threats.
If you rednecks can't behave in a responsible manner, then we're going to have to "git yur guns." - inactive, on 11/09/2008, -13/+100This country is full of superfluous apostrophes too, apparently.
- samimnot, on 11/09/2008, -43/+130Most of these people are just ignorantly mouthing off...
I'm not to worried about them.
But President Obama will be changing Oil Companies, Financial Industries and a variety of other Large Corporations - restructuring the ways these businesses are run, as well as the products they produce. He will also be changing our Military - down sizing and restructuring contracts with companies like Halliburton.
These people have HUNDREDS of BILLIONS of DOLLARS at stake...
They're the people I'm concerned about. - ThsGuyRightHere, on 11/10/2008, -27/+111Ok, time for me to have another chat with my hardcore rightwing friends. Pull up a chair guys, come on over. Are all the nutjobs here? Ok good. It's been a while since we've had one of these chats, in fact this is our first one since the election.
First off, I'm sorry your guy lost. I really am, only in a "not so much" kind of way. don't get me wrong, I think John McCain is a great American and would have done an adequate job as president. But I (and apparently 65.4 million of my closest friends) felt that we needed more than adequate; we needed exceptional. And we felt the exceptional candidate was Barack Obama. Nothing personal.
Now about the whole notion of threatening to harm the president-elect. First, there's no logical grounds on which to challenge the validity of the election. There were no dangling chads, there was no significant election fraud that could have swung the election one way or the other. (We do have work to do on election reform though, and don't think no one noticed various "malfunctioning" e-voting machines in multiple states. But I digress.) The important thing is, Obama is the valid winner of an uncontested election. The constitution has been followed. This isn't a case of an election being "stolen". So anyone claiming to be a "patriot" who thinks that harming Obama would be for the good of the country, let's cut the *****. If you intend to do harm to the President you're a traitor to the country you profess to love. Back in the day, traitors were dealt with by firing squad during wartime . Just something to keep in mind.
Also consider: let's say someone might succeed in harming our new President. The rules of succession would put Biden in control next, and if you somehow managed to get him and Obama at the same time, that would put Pelosi in charge. It's my understanding that you guys don't like her too much. Do you want her in charge of the country? Didn't think so. Yet another reason to back off all the death threats.
More importantly, look. It's an undisputed statement that the country's not in a good place. You guys have kinda been running the show for the last eight years, so how bout you and your guns stay home, and let someone else sit in the driver's seat for a while. If the country is in worse shape four years from now (don't know how that's possible but I'm sure things could be worse) then we'll talk about letting you guys drive some more. Sound good? Good. - gwolf, on 11/09/2008, -5/+89Our American version of the Taliban must be watched and very closely. They have a history of shooting at progressive minded Presidents and outspoken leaders who happen to be black. Obama is both and I would hate to see any more America haters pull off another Oklahoma City. These domestic enemy s are traitors in their hearts, minds and deeds and we shouldn't be so tolerant of them.
- SLiPSTR34M, on 11/09/2008, -6/+82I've been saying since i heard of his nomination - "he's going to win, and then some ***** is going to try and shoot at him" there are still racist ***** in this country.
- MonTheBuds, on 11/09/2008, -28/+102Most of them were in the crowd at Mccain's rallys. Some of the blame would have to lie with Mccain if anything ever happened to Obama as his campaign were responsible for spreading lies like this: http://www.conservapedia.com/Barack_Obama
- MyBookie, on 11/09/2008, -6/+80I think he should really limit his public appearances and be really secretive about where he will be. If people balk - show them the secret service records.

- inactive, on 11/09/2008, -2/+75Sick *****!
- Gemfinder, on 11/09/2008, -6/+76If you go by numbers, Barack Obama isn't hated. If you go by assassination attempts, GWB is adored.
And yet we know, that the American populace — by a landslide — adores Barack Obama and loathes GWB with a seething passion. - inactive, on 11/09/2008, -4/+73Wow, that article is truly horrible. It should really be called neoconservapedia... that kind of partisan hackery is an insult to conservatives and traditional Republicans.
- inactive, on 11/09/2008, -7/+74And then the world will follow.
- inactive, on 11/09/2008, -16/+83Oh spare me. The health of the President is secured by the Vice President. Nobody would touch Bush for fear of unleashing the pure evil that is Cheney. Nobody will touch Obama for fear of unleashing the pure boredom of Biden.
- JenniferInMO, on 11/09/2008, -4/+69NO, Don't! I'm stuck here.
- MediaWeasel, on 11/09/2008, -6/+66So much for the rightist hatemongers demanding a democracy. And they wonder why the Middle East rejects their idea of what democracy stands for .. especially after Bush. Would you want what Bush peddled, with Guantanamo, stolen elections, lobbyist-driven policies and a President who's hardly ever on duty? Hell no.
- dreid, on 11/10/2008, -0/+59This is why we can't have nice things.

- Tranas, on 11/09/2008, -4/+60It really kills my faith in humanity when people want an innocent soul to suffer an agonizing death; just because he/she doesn't agree with them. What characteristics of a person does it take to wish such an awful thing!?
- thegrantman, on 11/10/2008, -4/+58It'll have 22 inch rims.

- ThsGuyRightHere, on 11/10/2008, -1/+53Add in the belief that they're on the receiving end of divine guidance coupled with an "ends justify the means" mentality and you have a truly dangerous mix of character flaws.
Come to think of it, you have George W. Bush. - airwalkery2k, on 11/09/2008, -4/+53Living in a fairly conservative town, I can tell you that the conversations I overheard the day after the election were truly scary. It wasn't people saying that they were going to do something, but it was at least two conversations where they hoped somebody, "probably somebody from the South" would do something.
- slyzxx, on 11/10/2008, -3/+50All he has to do is not leave the white house for 8 yrs and he`ll be set.
- xXMetalJesusXx, on 11/10/2008, -7/+54Really? LOL ***** LOL son LOL that's LOLOL crazy!!!
LOLOLOLOLOL - inactive, on 11/09/2008, -4/+51This makes me so sad!
- ThsGuyRightHere, on 11/10/2008, -2/+48"...and could use the Koran for this purpose as a Congressman did"
Funny that conservapedia would mention this, when an email forward that almost certainly originated from someone in the Republican Party or the McCain campaign claimed that Obama was sworn into Senate using the Koran instead of the Bible (of course that wasn't true, that was a reference to a congressman).
Looks like someone is having trouble keeping track of which lies they've told. - Bith8654, on 11/09/2008, -2/+47The Barackmobile.
