- jattea, on 10/30/2008, -0/+10If the sample was random, and reflected the state's demographics makeup, then a survey of 550 would be accurate within a margin of error. In this case, the margin of error was 4.2%. So the real percentage of idiots ranges from 18.8% to 27.2%.

- Runkus, on 10/30/2008, -2/+8Not only are you misinformed but you aren't smart enough to make a witty comment correctly.
- TexasSlim, on 10/30/2008, -1/+6Apparently McCain-Palin and Fox News have convinced my state that he is a muslim elitist socialist (those things generally don't go together) non-citizen America-hater. It's sad that the only thing McCain has to offer is attacks and lies. That should unite us.
- sammyjames, on 10/30/2008, -0/+5Probably the same 23% of Americans who think that Bush is doing a "bang-up" job. Way 2 Go, Texas! We're praying for you...
- Apokalyps2547, on 10/30/2008, -0/+5I thought religion was a personal choice. It's not hereditary like eye-color.
- V0lk, on 10/30/2008, -2/+7Your stupidity concerns me.
- Eiknujrac, on 10/31/2008, -0/+3Did you know that the the bible requires you to kill anyone who works on a Sunday?
Did you know Exodus outlines different sacrificial rituals (which animal to slaughter, where to sprinkle the blood) for different specific sins?
Did you know the bible says that women should hold no place of power over a man?
Please, oh wise one, explain to me how the bible is so much more superior to the Q'aran. - CTRaiderThe1st, on 10/30/2008, -0/+3So 77% don't think he is. Move on, nothing to see here.
- LAWriter, on 10/30/2008, -2/+5These people grew up under George W. Bush's educational system, I'm surprised they can even spell "Barack Obama."

14% often confuse him and Zorak from Space Ghost as being the same person.

- publiclurker, on 10/31/2008, -0/+2Ever wonder where Bush was before he was president?
Wow, you don't know much about reality do you? - AmericanElitist, on 10/30/2008, -0/+2Texas is voting for McCain in all polls. Nuff said.

- demicritter, on 10/30/2008, -1/+2The 23% who think he's Muslim are Muslim.
- publiclurker, on 10/31/2008, -0/+1Why would it matter to you? I'm sure the hookers you can manage to hook up with have multiple levels of birth control in place.
- rrouse, on 10/30/2008, -2/+323% of Texans are so stupid they shouldn't be allowed to breed.
- 140Suffolk, on 11/01/2008, -0/+1writie - Did you know that on Obama's website, his original position was "Senator Obama has never been a Muslim."
Then when more truth came out they changed it to "never been a PRACTICING Muslim"
But, since we know that at least sometimes he went to mosque with his stepfather, the fact is Obama WAS at one time a practicing Muslim.
That's why I say he's been concealing it. - demicritter, on 10/30/2008, -2/+3Hey meathead. The NEA IS a federal government project lorded over by democrats. Clearly, you are a byproduct of this failed system. At the very least, you should follow the legislation and legislators who support this bureaucratic dinosaur.
- ChLb, on 10/31/2008, -1/+2550 out of 24,000,000? Its a lame sample. But yeah, I've never understood why anyone would think he's a Muslim, remember, Reverend Wright, the church in Chicago that he's been attending for 20 years. Wouldn't his staff, family, the news media have all noticed if he stopped to PRAY 5 TIMES A DAY TO MECCA! Obama may not be a believer in Jesus, but like McCain, he's a least willing to be thought of as a "Christian", which no Muslim would do.
- writie, on 11/01/2008, -0/+1It's not a question of agreeing. It's a question of being able to open a newspaper with your own two hands and read that the birth certificate issue has been debunked a dozen times by different sources. It's being able to understand that he entered the US educational system at the age of 9 and has been brought up a Christian and attended church for dozens of years. He has also spoken openly about al this many times. What is so difficult to understand there?
- writie, on 11/01/2008, -0/+1140: "But Obama and his supporters are bending over backwards to conceal his Muslim upbringing from American voters" Are you joking? He talked about it in his book. Maybe there were too many words and you missed it.
- Zkahtt, on 11/03/2008, -0/+0Since he has "provided" it to you, please send it to the court. His campaign has posted a hospital certificate of live birth (not the same as a birth certificate which has much more information on it). Compare your own birth certificate to the one his campaign "provided" and you will see the differences. As for the 'list', I could really care less - it has become common place for all of them to say anything to be elected. Our Constitution and Country deserve transparency by ALL who would lead.

- inactive, on 10/30/2008, -1/+1So having Bush as president changed Texas education that much? Wow, you don't know much about the education system do you?
- mattowan, on 10/31/2008, -1/+1100% of people who pay attention know that Obama was, in fact, born and raised a Muslim.
- writie, on 11/01/2008, -1/+1...by a father who couldn't give a toss either way and up until the age of nine, when he entered the US educational system, which was nearly 40 years ago. Impressive research there.
- 140Suffolk, on 10/31/2008, -2/+1Maybe it is. But Obama and his supporters are bending over backwards to conceal his Muslim upbringing from American voters.
Perhaps, as you say, religion is a personal choice. But whether or not his upbringing effected him is up to the American voters. We deserve the honest information.
And the honest information is that Obama DID go to mosque sometimes. Does that matter? It's up to us. - inactive, on 10/30/2008, -2/+1You are showing exactly why liberalism has such a hard time with facts and figures -- 23% of people in a poll is not an entire state.
- Zkahtt, on 10/31/2008, -1/+0I might be 23% easier to believe him if he could provide a birth certificate. It certainly would have defused the accusations. Fair or not, I think Mr. Obama is smart enough to know that the media's bias makes people distrust him as well as the media. Had he been more transparent, I think he would be doing far better. Should he win the presidency, more transparency would have helped unite not only the political divide, but possibly the racial divide. I really wish our elections weren't such a popularity contest. Maybe then we could get back to the Constitution and really heal this great country. When will our politicians grow up and act like the professionals we expect them to be, these playground antics are getting old.
- inactive, on 10/30/2008, -2/+1Yes, more government control -- this time of our reproductive organs. I really love how liberals think. When someone disagrees with them, it's time for eugenics and population control, jokingly, at least at first. Behind every liberal is the hulking shadow of Stalin, for they are all petty dime-store dictators who would kill thousands if they only had the chance.
- davemitchell59, on 10/30/2008, -3/+1You mean he's not? he he ;-)
- AmericanCulture, on 10/30/2008, -4/+2Sad sad socialists. You are really angry aren't you. Heck, I thought you were tolerant of those with a public education. Unless I've overcome the ignorance and can see through Obama's lies.
- 140Suffolk, on 10/30/2008, -3/+1Everything I said about Obama's life in Indonesia is confirmed by the LA Times. Read Daniel Pipes, fool.

What I said about the TUCC in Chicago is so widely known that no links are necessary. - inactive, on 10/30/2008, -3/+1Nothing really, except that whole suicide bombing thing. Oh, and that bit about anti-semitism. That's kinda uncool. And then there's the thing about women's testimony being equal to half that of a man's. Then there's the whole honor killing thing. Islam teaches every one of those things -- they are not side texts or matters of interpretation, really. If you knew Islam, you'd know that the Koran is regarded as the sole miracle of Mohammed, and it's words are unchangeable.
- AmericanCulture, on 10/30/2008, -7/+3I mean that he WILL raise taxes.
- 140Suffolk, on 10/30/2008, -6/+2In other words, 23% of Texans don't believe Obama's denials.
After all, there is SOME basis to believe Obama is a Muslim:
Father was Muslim
Stepfather Muslim
Obama went to two schools in Indonesia registered as a Muslim
At those schools he received hours/week of Koranic education
In Indonesia he sometimes went to mosque with his stepfather
Once in Chicago, he managed to find the only "Christian " church that claims to allow Muslims to be members...while remaining Muslim
The pastor of that church is a former Nation of Islam member. At least he says it's "former". And that pastor lauds Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan to the skies.
But if Obama says he's not a Muslim anymore, then we must believe him. Right? - TexasKoz, on 10/30/2008, -9/+3I don't think he is muslim. Regardless he is not qualified to be POTUS IMO.
- ZandorMonkeyBoy, on 10/30/2008, -9/+3This just in. 100% of people who believe that 550 people is a representative sample from a state of over 20 million people are morons.
- nomarxist, on 10/30/2008, -10/+3I think he is not only a muslim... he is a socialist!
- AmericanCulture, on 10/30/2008, -14/+3The same percentage believe that he won't raise taxes. Yet both are true.
