- rcook18, on 11/11/2009, -0/+7There is some putrid presence that keeps rising to the top in Congress. What could have been a proud moment for the House democrats was soiled by a shameful anti-woman amendment. It is clear that some deep cleaning within the Democratic Party must be done.
- stonecircle, on 11/11/2009, -0/+4I'm from Michigan. Stupak has been a stellar performer for our state, until now. I was utterly shocked by the Stupak amendment. It felt like it came out of nowhere. Unfortunately, many in his district will likely overlook this, and continue to support him.

Personally, I'd rather see a small clump of cells be whisked out in a quick, sterile medical procedure than read one more horror story like Nixzmary Brown's. Every day actual living children suffer horrible torture at the hands of clearly unfit parents. But, although you need a license for a dog, a car, or a bike, any irresponsible jerk and brainwashed cow can get together and schtup and produce a child that is either killed after years of cruelty and suffering or taken from its parents and dumped onto the slender mercies of the juvenile system. Foster care throws these kids out the day after they turn 18, with no money, no skills, no training, not even a goddamned roof over their heads. With no food, no shelter, and no way to get any, they turn to prostitution and panhandling on the streets.
Needless to say those same yowling idiots who successfully prevented their mothers and fathers from using birth control up to and including abortions are the same ***** who complain about taxes and won't pay a penny towards improving these childrens' lives, but will cluck sanctimoniously about how their mothers were whores and their fathers were pimps and druggies, and tehy all, including the children, deserve the death penalty. *****, I'm so sick of the hypocrisy.
