- victorypup, on 04/21/2008, -1/+1All gas and Oil imports? Wal Mart, K Mart, Cost Co, plus hundreds of other importers have virtually nothing on the shelf made in the USA. Ford, General Motors, Chrysler etc, all import heavily to put their vehicles together. Other than ship loads of raw materials like scrap metal, and unfinished Timber products, what does the USA export? I think the Globalist, treasonist New World Oder crowd needs to rethink NAFTA.
- tgolferman, on 04/21/2008, -0/+1How many companies that first moved to Mexico and then to China for further wage cuts are taken out of their numbers? If the company originally left for NAFTA and then went to China because of MFN are they even in the statistical sample?
- tgolferman, on 04/21/2008, -0/+1Do you notice that this John Engler does not cite any sources of his arguments. I have a customer that held out as long as possible, but eventually had to follow other manufacturers and move their manufacturing to Mexico because once one competitor is allowed to do it the others will follow or die. I know of many others in the same boat as well.
- rpfinley, on 04/21/2008, -0/+1Here is the website, since its run by the U.S. Census Bureau its absolutely horrible to navigate but with a little effort you can get the import/export numbers and the percentage of Oil, Gas and Minerals.
