- infopro, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3The situations aren't comparable. The Clinton thing didn't involve a potentially orchestrated cover-up. A more apt analogy would be to Watergate. At this point we don't know enough to say for sure whether the House leadership is guilty or not, but one thing we do know is that there's more than enough smoke to justify an investigation into whether or not there's a fire.

Hastert and his boys hid their knowledge of a known child predator in the hopes of saving a Congressional seat. It's sick, it's immoral and it's indicative of the fact that the current Republicans only care about benefiting themselves and could care less who is hurt in the process..including Children. Anyone on the Right that is trying to rationalize this as no bid deal need to have their heads checked...would you let YOUR children be alone with these guys?? I bet not.
