What The ***** are you talking about? Do you know ANYTHING about Chris Matthews at all? He was one of President Carter's ***** speech writers for chrissakes! In the '80s he went to work for Tip O'Neal! (To clarify for you, both President Carter and House Speaker O'Neal had "D" behind their names!) - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -4/+32"The right"??? Hahahahaha, Chris Matthews is about as far right as Ted Kennedy.
- Pix869, on 10/12/2007, -3/+31Those crazy people on TV..
Always using curse words in a non offensive manner.
oh, the controversy! - mrASSMAN, on 10/12/2007, -1/+22My child's ears have been molested. >:-(
Yes, he watches MSNBC 24/7, it's his favorite show. He just told me to "go ***** yourself" :(
DAMN YOU CHRIS MATTHEWS!!! - idandfei, on 10/12/2007, -17/+38He's oldish...and very white...slightly overweight...and very very smug.
- Bartboy919, on 10/12/2007, -5/+25Well, If you spend more time at your ranch than in the white house (or work for that matter), you don't seem to be such a great president.
- LuciferChaos, on 10/12/2007, -1/+17@canti32
That was Shepard Smith from Fox... Heres a link to it:

You are right. How could anyone think Chris Matthews is a conservative? - doom.md, on 10/12/2007, -4/+16i love it when people say ***** on tv and get away with it.
it's magic. - woodchucklove, on 10/12/2007, -8/+20Those damn liberals and their ***** curse words!
- Technopundit, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13No, it's called "cable".
- lndmn01, on 10/12/2007, -5/+16@ idandfei
Ted Kennedy is a republican? Oh, being a drunk must negate the other qualifications... - TenebrousX, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10We do know, of course, that he loves potatoes
- SteveisSuperMan, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10On what mainstream American news network did you see "hard core porn and images of women with two ***** in their asses and one in their mouths"?
I'm sure there aren't any Europeans who would be involved in such things. - aahpandasrun, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8This was on Imas's show. He broadcasts a radio show which is simulcast live over msnbc. It seems like what happened was that the f word was dumped out of on the radio side, but went over the air on the tv side.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8so then what's the big deal?
- LeFrenzy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7to my beloved european audience who wonders why the ***** this is considered a "big deal" in America:
our country has gone coo-coo for a long time now. We still can't cuss on Live TV unless we're on HBO. It's ***** pathetic. Remember how they went beserk when we showed a nipple during a superbowl? Yeah. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8Who gives a ***** if he said the word *****.
Jesus, ***** ***** ***** ***** *****! - jeff303, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7You other people are funny for making the logical fallacy of hasty generalization about "us Americans."

*cough* - mrASSMAN, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6It's been called that for as long as I can remember..
- PeteLP, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6@theblooms
Matthews is officially on record as having voted for Bush in 2000. He also spoke out against clinton's sexual behavior, against clinton's impeachment, and he's one of very few TV commentators to call the war crazy before we went in.
If you're following the Libby trial, you'll also know that Cheney was having hardball transcribed on a daily basis, because of Matthews' serious coverage of Wilson debacle.
IMO he's a very smart, very honest guy. I'm a fan. - voteforblank, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6Well at least what he said made sense to me! F-bomb or no F-bomb
- Sneakernets, on 10/12/2007, -6/+10All I wanna ask is, who got offended by this? Those offended can get into a rocket headed towards the sun for all I care. GROW UP, it's not the Victorian/Puritan era anymore.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6A board op at the Tv station is getting canned for sure. They have at LEAST 7 seconds of dump, and that's on 10yr hardware.
- antoniojvr, on 10/12/2007, -5/+8Yea, it's supporting the President that is discouraged.
- KingLeo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4I can't stand Chris Matthews... every time I see him on TV, he's interviewing someone and interrupting the heck out of them... I don't care what his values are, he's plain annoying to watch on TV.
- reddevil3, on 10/12/2007, -11/+13I hate Bush as much as the next guy but how does owning a ranch in the south make someone a bad president?
- Lean, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Chris Mathews and Joe Scarborough both have pretty good shows. I'd rather watch them than O'Reilly or Olbermann, even though he's a cool guy, Keith Olbermann is really too outspokenly left-wing to be unbiased, O'Reilly however, is just a douche.
- olibird, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Seriously, over 500 diggs because someone said ***** on Tv.?
Buried as lame. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4i'm a big tweety fan. regardless which way his internal compass is pointing on any given day.
- PunkPortrais, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I don't watch too much blow-hard news dicks but I'll bet ya $20 he's totally against violent and sexual movies/video games etc and thinks that our children are being corrupted by them. I used to work in TV news and I can tell you first hand, all these types of guys are ass hats who talk out of both sides of their mouths to please whoever is listening at the time. No matter what the subject, take some time and educate yourself and don't listen to what anyone tells you to believe. And if you think you aren't influenced by he ***** you watch or read, in any way, you're far too gone already.
- bobafettm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2exactly... he was emotional about a subject in which he believed in... some people get caught up in the act even reports
- leobaby, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2me too.

How can you be officially on record as having voted for Bush?
As far as I remember there wasn't any place on my ballot that said Name___________ - LostOnion, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It's not a TV station. It's a cable network.
- mbthompson, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Buried as lame. Additionally Chris Matthews is a blowhard and a jackass.
- raid517, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Lol, you shure don't like to be poked fun at do you? Anyway you are still a damned weird bunch.
As it happens in Europe this sort of stuff doesn't shock people the way it does you. Not saying we don't have our problems too - but we aren't nearly as repressed as most Americans. - saintdesy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The electoral college hasn't "worked" since 1793. The second they became drones for the Party system instead of independent thinkers trying to determine who would be the BEST person in the country to be president, they went against what the founders intended.
Face it, the way things are set up right now, we pretty much have direct election of presidents anyway (since they actually run and we actually pick their name instead of picking electors) but some guy in Montana or Wyoming has the equivalent of FOUR to every ONE of mine. The Senate is even more ***** up. - teethman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Its just a ***** word!!
- dr234, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1guys, they're gonna say ***** on TV!!!
- spartyms2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I honestly had to listen to it a few times to catch it. I definitely missed it the first time through and I was waiting for it.
- DEADLYNITESHADE, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3could there be any greater BLOWHARD than chris matthews? well, andrea dworkin comes too mind.....
- LuciferChaos, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Would have been better during the State of the Union...
- catchphrase, on 10/12/2007, -5/+6Chris Matthews values are much more obscene than any words! As are Ted Kennedy's, Hillary Clinton's, Nancy Pelosi's and most liberals on the planet, in my humble opinion.
catch - robarahz, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4Matthews is good because he asks tough questions, and questions that are insightful (since he worked in DC he knows how it works, unlike most journalists).
He's always leaned left, but has the guts for the GOP (he started the push for Guliani a year ago and voted for Bush in 2000), making him a bit of a moderate really. If you watch his show, he's quick to slam either side for being weak.
It's not the first time he's used colorful words. On Hardball he said "Did you just exhume Harry Truman and punch him in the nuts?" - danielh4824, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Good for him. He said a word and everyone goes crazy because you can say that word on TV. Come on grow up everyone uses it. Censors are retarded!!!!
- leobaby, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2So when he says "You're one of us." Do you think he was talking to a democrat? no.
- saintdesy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yes. Yes it does.
