- cjdunn, on 10/12/2007, -8/+18There's little debate that the jihadists are theocrats as are Republicans
Goode is saying: jihadists want to take over world (which is correct but implausible - China and India say 'hi'), Iraq critics are helping jihadists (which is a laughable Republican talking point) therefore Iraq critics want the jihadists to take over the world.
It's a childish, stupid argument to defend a childish, stupid President and his real and bloody war. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+11And, yet, you don't seem too concerned about any of this...

All the right has is fake fear. oh noes they gonna make us all Muslim. bitch please. - YoDiggity2, on 10/12/2007, -4/+10This man is nothing but a fearful bigot. This is almost as bad as the letter he wrote back in December:

Islam, as practiced by the vast majority of people, is a peaceful religion, a religion that respects others. Ours is a country based upon tolerance and we welcome people of all faiths in America."

November 13, 2002 - thebaron2, on 10/12/2007, -4/+9What the hell is up with labeling ALL conservatives as theists? I know this is off topic, but this ***** doesn't fly when making huge, sweeping generalizations about any other group of people.
I consider myself conservative - I don't trust the government and I'd like them involved in my life as little as necessary - but I do NOT believe in God(s). While I'm at it, I don't approve of Bush or what his admin. is doing! I can still be a conservative and a Republican though, as shocking as that may seem to many diggers. I don't think this admin. is following traditional conservatism and it's definitely isolating itself from true conservatives throughout the country.
I'm sure some liberals/progressives DO believe in God and some don't, but I don't make sweeping generalizations that all democrats/liberals are "godless" (as some other asshat conservatives HAVE claimed.) It's a preposterous generalization and, like I said, it wouldn't fly in any other realm of discussion besides politics. Stop this crap, stop buying into the hype from ALL the media whores (Fox, CNN, MSNBC, etc... I don't care who they are, more polarization = more ratings for them all and EVERYONE has a built-in bias). The country isn't nearly as divided into hardcore left/right as many people are beginning to believe. Man this ***** pisses me off.
/rant - flernk, on 10/12/2007, -5/+10Well, at least he took off his tinfoil hat for the speech. I, for one, would like to welcome our new... oh nevermind.
- noamsml, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6What happened, you wanted a different brand of oppressive theocracy?
This guy is a laughable clone of McCarthy, but without the success. - appleann1, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2dhspls,
What is it you want? You've confused me with the LGF and Malkin links.
Or is it a joke i'm just not getting. - Popdmb, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Shows you how much our policies have changed in five years...

I'm from Charlottesville, and we didn't want him, I promise!
Also, to be fair ... we had no idea he was this crazy until after November. He was always a bit conservative, but this is just insane! - imsoclever, on 10/12/2007, -4/+4It's funny, this is reminiscent of the junk conservatives were spewing decades ago about the Roman Catholic Church. Something about the Pope taking over the country etc. etc.
Same *****, different day I suppose.
Same *****, similar simple minded idiots, different day. - appleann1, on 10/12/2007, -13/+11

"Those who stay in America should be open to society without melting, keeping Mosques open so anyone can come and learn about Islam. If you choose to live here, you have a responsibility to deliver the message of Islam ... Islam isn't in America to
be equal to any other faiths, but to become dominant. The Koran, the Muslim book
of scripture, should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only
accepted religion on Earth."
"Fighting for freedom, fighting for Islam, that is not suicide," ...
"They kill themselves for Islam."

"I wouldn't want to create the impression that I wouldn't like the government of
the United States to be Islamic sometime in the future...But I'm not going to do anything violent to promote that. I'm going to do it through education." - pspman3, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1ooooooooo.....nooooo wait they have been saying this since 2000 hmmm....
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -20/+13He is right, jihadis do want to take over the entire planet and enforce islamic law everywhere. They say it all the time.
Where have you guys been?
