VIDEO: Rep. Don Young Will Not Retract Fabricated Lincoln Quote

thinkprogress.org — During yesterday’s House debate on Iraq, Rep. Don Young (R-AK) was caught citing a fabricated quote falsely attributed to Abraham Lincoln. Today he says he won't take any action to correct the record or clarify his House statement.

  • pintomp3, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2why would he retract it? it wasn't a mistake. he was lying, and lying for a reason. he was trying to find justification for his stance on the issue, and when there is no justification, you make it up. it's pretty much the theme of this war.
