VIDEO: CNN’s Glenn Beck Calls Anti-Gay Slur Simply A ‘Naughty Name’
thinkprogress.org — Yesterday on CNN Headline News, host Glenn Beck addressed the controversy raised after Grey ’s Anatomy star Isaiah Washington called his castmate T.R. Knight a “faggot.” Beck called the New York Times’s refusal to print the anti-gay slur “amazing,” claiming that “faggot” is nothing more than a “naughty name.”

- elitemicro, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2What I find absolutely amazing is that if a closeted GOP operative like Matt Drudge had been called a 'faggot' by another media person (eg Jennette Walls), he would completely flip out. The same with Shepard Smith. Both Republicans would scream their little hearts out. Yet they just love to demonize and skewer other gays and lesbians. Why the media not only allows this but encourages it is beyond me. How about it Mary Cheney?

Besides that, The media and general public are such hypocrites anyways. How many times have you called any of your friends or others that? Or any other name for that matter, especially under your breath. So quick to judge what people have done themselves so many times before.
