- silklady, on 03/27/2008, -0/+3Did you even bother with any of the citations? This IS history. It's history the American people, and the world for that matter, have been deprived of. And having been deprived of it, we are condemned and living through its horrible repeat.
Learn REAL history.
Herondancer - iowane, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Hmmm...I guess what jbouklas means is learn his version of history. I think that is the stuff they had you memorize in the 8th grade. Well, here's a little lesson from Historical Analysis 101.
The study of history is not the memorization of known and settled facts. While that can be a part of it, history is an evolving, ongoing discipline that involves a tremendous amount of research. Telling someone who is doing historical research and analysis to "learn history" implies that there is nothing new to be gleaned from new historical research.
The statement is understandable if the source of the statement is an adolescent. Coming from what I presume is an adult, the statement is pitiful and childish.
I'm going to guess that jbouklas is fond of the state of Israel and doesn't take kindly to others pointing out those facts that lead to a historical picture of Israel that is markedly different from what Israel paints for public consumption. If, jbouklas, you really do think you can make a cogent analysis that is contrary to what is in this article, by all means do so and post it here for all to read!! - astrocyte, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1
Jbouklas is this a command to self?
The article makes it clear how much we need to analyze history but not in the sense of jbouklas' command to "learn history". Surly learning history means examining all the evidence. It is not discarding what you don't like or what you disagree with. If one finds the evidence lacking and wants to protest it, then it is contingent on the protester to come up with reasonable alternatives. This would require some studying the facts in order to form conclusions. The author does this quite well in this article. Maybe it is Jbouklas that need to learn not just history but how to participate in the learning process and present what is learned. - krista08, on 03/26/2008, -0/+1We have been deprived of the TRUTH and a GREAT MAN!
- Yossarian1001, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I thought this was a fascinating article. I learned much about the JFK assasination that I'd never heard before . . . and the coup d' etat that was the assasination is something that's fascinated me for years.
It's caused me to look at everything in light of the fact that a secret power elite showed it's ugly face and proved that they, not the American people, run this country. From there, one has to start to become aware of what the National Security State is and what it means.
Signs of the Times is an excellent place to get infomation that helps clarify reality in my opinion. Shoutwire has some great material posted on it too, but it can be difficult at times to discern the lies from the truth, the disinformation from clear reality. That's where a team like SoTT, that doesn't claim to know it all, but has removed the rose colored glasses and does lots of deep, well documented research, is a help. - jbouklas, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Jackass. Learn history.
- PadawanSquire, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0A most excellent article, or series thereof. It is a tragedy we are not given all possible versions of the history of kennedy, vietnam, Israel.. America.. earth. Maybe if we were we'd know that mans history is well beyond 5,000 years as most biblical scholars would like to believe. From the things I have read by this author I would have to agree that civilizations are or have been cyclical.
I love the cold hard logic. I imagine alot of time was put into this.
