- camelseye, on 04/21/2008, -7/+37Iwo Jima, eh? And Time actually sees a parallel?
bravery and blood-bought ground vs. a jaded movement and a myth. - caccia, on 04/21/2008, -3/+30I buried you kelt65. This is also a Western Civilization thing, not just a liberal/conservative one. Might want to get more involved before you start showing your ignorance.

- CaptainAmerica1, on 04/21/2008, -3/+30TIME has sucked for years. I canceled my subscription long ago. If I could cancel it a million times, I would.
- ladyjusa, on 04/21/2008, -3/+29It's wrong and this should not be conservative vs. liberal issue. Liberals should condemn this as well.
- inactive, on 04/21/2008, -3/+28I just canceled my subscription. I was planning on doing so sometime anyway...!
- ladyjusa, on 04/21/2008, -4/+25Sad thing is this will probobly boost sales due to the curiosity. I would hope that people would all cancel their subscriptions.
- DerangedPenguin, on 04/21/2008, -2/+22Time Magazine, Newsweak Magazine? I have not even picked up a copy in my doctors office in years there was a time when Time, Newsweek and Life could be trusted for unbiased information. Time and Life had reporters on all the fronts of WWII and in the Korean War. Now they have to help lap up the Goralicious vomit of the Global Warming Religious Movement. Lets see what kinds of sacrifices would all United States Citizens be expected to stop the warming of the Earth by the Sun? How about we finally stop drinking clean water, stop flushing our toilets, stop driving all cars, stop heating our homes and preserving our food in refrigerators and freezers. Stop smoking cigarettes and cigars stop farting , stop cows from farting. Stop using our computers. In fact maybe, if we all just killed ourselves, it might just offset the temperature increase from the sun. Mass suicide of 300,000,000 would surely be news worthy and a valiant sacrifice. Of course it would suck for the sales of the few copies of Time Magazine
- syberghost, on 04/21/2008, -4/+23Winning the war on Global Warming is like winning Global Thermonuclear War; the only winning move is not to play.
- RawSense2004, on 04/22/2008, -4/+186000 men died that day to give time the balls to act like an ass, and they have done so. Now I want them to just bury themselves. To equate what they have sacrificed with a freakin tree is to only show how little regard you actually have for our troops. For you not to understand our anger or disdain for you is for you to be even more clueless. Boy, THIS makes me bitter, not guns and God!
When you pull the lever for Obama, know that there are more of us than there ever will be of you. - Navigator7, on 04/22/2008, -4/+18Our soldiers should be shown pulling Liberalism from the darkness of Optic Rectitus to the light of day.
Liberalism, in and of itself, is a far greater threat than terror, global warming, war, hunger, and high oil prices.
Most problems in the world would be solved if the liberal ideology is exposed and put down.
It's going to take a great generation to fight off what the liberal offspring off the Greatest Generation have exuded. - inactive, on 04/22/2008, -3/+16That's just plain UGLY, from concept to statment of the finished work. A piece of work by silly, spoiled, ungrateful and perverted Americans. They forgot to put a picture of Rev. Wright in the background screaming God D America.
- these3remain, on 04/22/2008, -3/+14"The War on Global Warming"?????!!!!! Time has sunk to ever lower depths of stupidity; who would have thought it was possible since they've done plenty of other inane covers and stories? It's insulting to the "Greatest Generation" and to every veteran and troop to equate global warming with the battlefield faced by brave men and women every day. Just one more way to demoralize our troops and elevate another means of exploiting the American people by greedy , liberal politicians.
- IslandJeff, on 04/22/2008, -2/+12While I'm not really offended by it, it's narcissistic beyond belief: We're Baby Boomers and We Care About the Earth! Look at ME, Look at US! Come on! Keep Looking! Did I say we care?
- ladyjusa, on 04/22/2008, -2/+11As I said to kelt65 this should not be a conservative vs liberal issue, liberals should condemn this cover just as much as conservatives, but the liberal mindset does not see the whole picture.
- inactive, on 04/22/2008, -3/+11Time Magazine itself is a major contributor to global warming. Think of all the good they could do if they lead by example and stopped publishing! The fact that they don't shows that they are hypocrites!
- animalwheeler, on 04/22/2008, -3/+11I am not even sure I can convey the amount of disgust and anger I feel right now. To dishonor such a picture; a picture of an event showing how paramount was the price paid for our freedoms, and the hope that comes with them.
I hope enough people cancel their subscriptions that Time chokes on them. - animalwheeler, on 04/22/2008, -2/+8Unfortunately, too many people do not understand the power and honor of that picture.
They have no clue what our service men and women have done through the years for them; and the importance of remembering our POW/MIA 's. - Cryptocracy, on 08/17/2008, -1/+7Obama isnt going to fix anything, if thats what you are thinking.....
- inactive, on 04/22/2008, -2/+8I cancelled Time many years ago. Gorebal Warming has even drawn the likes of Newt and Nancy. Well, Nancy we knew, but Newt?
- LeadOffMan, on 04/23/2008, -1/+6ask Russia & now China how socialism worked out.
- Cryptocracy, on 08/17/2008, -2/+7I vote my conscience. And I see you are a socialist. socialism doesn't work. your government gets too big and powerful and corrupt, every time. where is this overwhelming majority of scientists? documentation, please.
- inactive, on 04/22/2008, -3/+5Your disrespect of America's best has earned you a free pass to blockville.
- Navigator7, on 04/28/2008, -0/+1Damn! You made my week. We've found each other at last! Proponents of ideology diametrically opposed.
Yet, I'm certain if I agreed with you then we'd both be wrong! - Cryptocracy, on 08/17/2008, -4/+5from the article:
Lieberman-Warner Bill, as it's known, calls for cutting carbon from most sources to 2005 levels by 2012 and then 70% below 2005 levels by 2050.
A new study by the National Association of Manufacturers, an industry trade group, estimates that Lieberman-Warner would cost the U.S. up to 4 million jobs by 2030 while eroding gdp by up to $669 billion per year....
yeah, thats exactly what our struggling economy needs right now... based on pseudoscience. This global warming scam is an attempt at a power grab leading to global governance by the Money Masters.... they don't give a damn about the USA. - inactive, on 04/22/2008, -7/+5So you believe the National Association of Manufacturer's "science," but you don't believe the overwhelming majority of scientists about climate change.
You vote Republican, right? - neognostic, on 04/22/2008, -7/+3I also ignore ladyusa's racist comments on other pages too.
- inactive, on 04/22/2008, -9/+3"Liberals should condemn this as well."
Why? There's nothing wrong with it. - neognostic, on 04/22/2008, -10/+4I've been looking for the stupidest comment on digg ever, and thanks to you I've found it! Congrats! It's going to take two generations to fix what neocons have done to this country in the last 7 years.
- neognostic, on 04/22/2008, -10/+3How are those two events related? That's right, your simple mind can only grasp comments taken out of context and exposed for only a few seconds. Be careful, your brain might go into overload if you ever heard Rev. Wright's sermon in full.
- inactive, on 04/22/2008, -10/+3As I posted earlier, why would I object to it? There is nothing wrong with it.
- neognostic, on 04/22/2008, -10/+3You don't see the whole picture - Let me explain. Time is pointing out that the only way we can win the fight against global warming is to do as the great men of WWII did, and to be brave, committed, daring, and to fight the good fight. There is no slight to this picture to to the men of WWI. Go outside and get some air.
- inactive, on 04/22/2008, -12/+5The American right wing loves manufactured outrage. They seem to really need to hate something.
- inactive, on 04/21/2008, -36/+7buried - who gives a *****. boy, will the stupidest things get you 'conservatives' panties in a bunch.
