- NtHammer, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8it is Slate ... :/
I was expecting political things that helped the nation or a state in one way or another, not just anti-GOP *****. - waynechng, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7The best moment was the tide shift from a Republican Congress to a Democratic one ... historic, anyway.
- Y2JCrisis, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Can you think of any more memorable moments than Cheney shooting someone, Stevie?
- ArchieAndrews, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6Dugg for "Rummy Felled".
- edverb, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4// How is this historic? 6th year elections tend not to go well for the president's party. //
Well, that's an understatement.
For some perspective, the House has changed hands only once since 1948 and THAT was plenty historic....the 1994 Republican Revolution. The current Democratic margin in the House (31 seats) is FAR larger than that of the 1994 Republican Revolution. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2@nostoppingus
The entire "John Kerry hates the troops" nonesense is *exactly* why the GOP took a "thumpin'" this year.
John Kerry wasn't on the ballot.
John Kerry was trying to make a joke, failed, and sounded dumb.
John Kerry already lost his bid for the Presidency 2 years ago.
John Kerry is so irrelevant that I was simply amazed, AMAZED that the right-wing echo chamber went so crazy over this. They sounded like desperate dogs, and they got kicked.
P.S. Anyone who thinks that ONE party, ONE religion, or ONE ANYTHING is always the correct choice is a moron. Somewhere in the middle lies the truth. And moderates, like me, are the reason the GOP lost Congress this year (despite having voted very pro-GOP in 2002). - TubaTechno, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Actually, the article posted went on to talk about the Abramoff scandal and all the republicans that went down with the ship....however, no mention was made to the number of democrats involved in the scandal as well...

I dont' care whether you agree with all the points this article made, however, I do care about the obvious bias that you diggers cling to in hopes to having another Bush/GOP bashing orgy.
News should be news, it should not be slanted or bias. - phil.busch, on 10/12/2007, -9/+11Ok. We get it. Ted Stevens is a dumbass. Enough with the series of tubes ***** already! It was funny three months ago.
- hoovcluck, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2What about Kennedy's drug/alcohol induced car accident at the capital? Or what about Cynthia McKenny's attack on the capital security guard? I know this is Digg but come on!

"This is labeled incorrectly. It should be: 'Top Five favorite Political Moments for liberals'"
Exactly. Or maybe it should be: "Top Five favorite Political Moments for the typical digg user". Funny how 4 out of 5 of these are extremely negative in nature in general but yet the are the "best moments". Extremely partisan. But what else would you expect from digg? - smartretard, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3The troops are stupid? Are you speaking from experience, or just out your ass like I believe you are? All you damn arm-chair generals think you know it all don't you?
I recently joined the Marine corps, and leave for boot camp in a few months. I received a 97 on the ASVAB and have a tested IQ of 151. I do not agree or disagree with this war or any war (at least publicly, as it is not my place as a member of the Armed Forces. I follow orders. Period.), I just feel it is my duty to serve my country. If this makes me an idiot, then I wish there were more idiots in this nation, we would be much better off. Perhaps people like you would be better off THANKING those that sacrifice in service to YOU and all other citizens instead of insulting them. If you have a problem with policy, take it up with the policy makers. Do not insult those who simply follow orders in an attempt to make this nation safe for you and your family. - TubaTechno, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1deleted
- CaptainSpeaking, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Wow, at first I thought it was achievements, and my mouse was automatically hovering the bury option. You know, as inaccurate.
- Y2JCrisis, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1What the hell has any politician done that is positive to make the five best political moments of 2006 list?
What has a "liberal" (though they don't exist in american politics) done to get on this list this year? Name one more memorable thing than any of these things on the list. - NtHammer, on 10/12/2007, -4/+5@twollamalove
I'm glad the country isn't filled with pussy jackasses like you, just because you think the war is pointless and isnt going to end-doesnt mean that the troops are stupid and no one should be over there at all. You're way worse than Kerry, at least he was trying to tell a joke. - JoeBeaner, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Or maybe...
"Top THREE best political moments of 2006 because whomever submitted this headline spoiled 2/5ths of the list in the g-damn description"
Although I'm pretty sure thats over the character limit. - smartretard, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@bickdigg
Thank you for at least making a logical argument, Godwin or no Godwin. I may not agree with you, but I can respect this opinion far more than that of twollamalove. - TubaTechno, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Just when I thought I've seen the absolute worse comments on Digg, I find the previous comments. I'm so appalled by their statements. I'm at a loss of words about their high horse ignorance.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@strebormj
I prefer the term "Reagan Democrat" or "Libertarian" to "neoliberal".
I also prefer the term "OpEd" or "political OPINION" to the phrase "propaganda". - bbarr97, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1What about John Murtha just being John Murtha?
- TubaTechno, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"I really hate to be a dick here, but the troops are stupid. Who would join the military in today's time? There's no real higher cause and no end in sight."
Plz someone tell me he doesn't really believe that.... - TubaTechno, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1i expected nothing less from this website...

love your nick, however, you're not a retard for serving your country, you're a retard for doing it cluelessly.
i guess rudolf hess was pretty clever too, however he was evil, just serving his country.
but invading iraq is only serving oil companies and building terrorism. but you should go anyway, your führer decided so. - jojodancer, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Blogger Power!

- NoStoppingUs, on 10/12/2007, -7/+7what?! no john kerry calling the troops stupid?
- strebormj, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Neoliberal, partisan propaganda.
- NtHammer, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3edverb, are you ***** retarded, where do you get your facts at?
i have my A.P government textbook right here, and it proves your an idiot.
off-year elections usually dont go well for the Pres. party, i dont see why BKGT is getting dugg down.
I hate people who will digg someone just because they make a statement against Rep., even though they are talking out of their ass, i cant believe edverb has +3 ATM.
"For some perspective"? wtf are you talking about, your completely wrong and just pointing out how much of an idiot you are - Junkyarddawg, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1"The president and his aides may want to get their memoirs out before Rumsfeld does."
Hahahaha, yeah, I'm guessing in 2009 there'll be some very lucrative book-deals and shortly thereafter some very interesting books.
As for people complaining this is anti-GOP propaganda.... I tried to think of a dem-moment which could fit on that list, but the closest I can think of is Kerrys botched joke, and it just isn't good enough compared to Allens self-destruction, Cheneys facial, or any of the other, except possibly Liebermans bloggers. - twollamalove, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3that's like your opinion man
- HMTKSteve, on 10/12/2007, -6/+4Cheney "peppering" that lawyer was good, and memorable but, this article only paints a negative picture of half of the political landscape. So I stand by my original comment.

"Wow they are all anti-Bush/Republican ... This is labeled incorrectly. It should be: "Top Five favorite Political Moments for liberals"
Sorry, Republicans just plain outdid Democrats in the dramatic political idiocy department this year. We just could even begin to compete. Whether it was a hapless Vice President summarizing his whole tenure by shooting his hunting buddy in the face, a gay-baiting homophobe humping gay prostitutes in a meth-fueled stupor, a conservative child-predator trolling for adolescent boys in Congress, or our President... well, just being himself, Republicans brought their A-game and swept this category. GOP FTW!! 1!!!! 11!!!! - twollamalove, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1I really hate to be a dick here, but the troops are stupid. Who would join the military in today's time? There's no real higher cause and no end in sight.
...
On top of that, the president is a retard. - HMTKSteve, on 10/12/2007, -13/+7Wow they are all anti-Bush/Republican ... This is labeled incorrectly. It should be: "Top Five favorite Political Moments for liberals"
- Demq, on 10/12/2007, -7/+1The moment Bush got pwned by the UN army.. to bad it was an April fools joke
