Want peace? Promote tax reduction and deregulation. Want war? Support regulation and tax hikes. -- Jeff Daiell

I'm happy the author fully implicated the Democrats, as they are part of the problem, not the solution. We may be rid of the neocons in the next presidential election, but I'm afraid the modus-operandi identified in the article will continue.
Iraq may well become the greatest tragedy of my lifetime. I was born shortly after the Jewish holocaust, so that one doesn't count. It will be hard to top Vietnam, but the USA appears to be doing its best. There is a major difference between Vietnam and Iraq.
Generally all is amazingly well now on the Vietnam front. There are some geo-politico-historical reasons for this, not the least of which is the threat China poses. The exact opposite is true of Iraq. The USA is part of the threat, which goes back well over a 1,000 years to the Crusades. There won't be any kiss and make up after the USA extricates itself from the present debacle.
The bottom line is the two, Bush presidencies have done more to increase terrorism in the world than any other influence since the fall of the Berlin Wall. What a legacy! - Libberkey, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5The emperor has no plans. He's concocting some excuses to use as reasons for "doing the job as long as it takes," which translates to killing as many Americans and Iraqi as he can get away with.
"Wait a minnit. What the hell? I ain't running again! Kill, kill, kill... heh-heh-heh..." - Libberkey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1You'd think Pelosi would gather her troops and impeach Bush and Cheney, and then become President. Smart. And she'd be doing all of us a favor (for one thing, she wouldn't be sending 20,000 more American targets for the Iraqi dissidents).
This video, though inflammatory, has its moments, and makes a case for impeachment.
