- cashman57, on 03/30/2008, -7/+31The truth is 9-11-01 would be just another day if the Americans on those planes had not been stripped of their right to keep and bear arms.
- moolaismyfriend, on 03/30/2008, -18/+8lol, yay thanks Rambo.
I am sure the founding fathers envisoned half awake Americans on a trans-continental flight, travel at 590 MPH at 30,000 feet loading their muskets with hopefully dry powder so they could shoot semi-spherical musket balls at Arab men, and hopefully not tear through the fuselage and hit a fuel line. I believe that was in a previous draft of the Constitution that the liberal baby eating John Adams and Thomas Jefferson wrote.- Iconoclast25, on 03/30/2008, -3/+16moolaisyourfriend and Kool-Aidisyourdrink . . . try to stimulate your ventral as well as your dorsal medial prefrontal cortex, OK, mac?
- moolaismyfriend, on 03/30/2008, -13/+3I guess my sarcasm went over your head. Sorry kid, I'll try and dumb in down for you next time.
- Iconoclast25, on 03/31/2008, -0/+9Poor moola . . . I don't enjoy criticizing the intellectually-disabled, so it troubles me to point out your banal "sarcasm" attempt was so awkward and overdone it did not rise above the cellar floor, much less overhead. Pour another cup of Kool-Aid, wipe up your drool and go back in your corner.

- ClosedCaption, on 03/30/2008, -7/+10I dont believe that shooting on an airplane should be encouraged. One missed shot and bye bye plane.
- masterm1nd, on 03/30/2008, -0/+15Just yesterday a pilot's gun went off in a commercial airplane. A pea shooter will probably not bring down a plane. Anyways, when the alternative is intentional crashing, the almost inexistent possibility of crashing due to gunfire doesn't look that bad.
- Iconoclast25, on 03/31/2008, -0/+12Planes have landed safely after losing doors in mid-flight. The electrical and hydraulic systems are multiply redundant. One or even a dozen bullet holes - *IF* the projectiles penetrated all the way through the fuselage - will not cause serious damage . . . and obviously not anything *nearly* as serious as having the plane intentionally flown into a building. Change your diapers and come back when you have the faintest clue about firearms and airplanes, individually or collectively. Thanks. HANDDA
- parabolee, on 05/11/2008, -2/+3Yeah your right, because if we allowed guns on planes then hijacked planes would be much less common. Wow, what a moron.

- LoneRanger85, on 03/30/2008, -8/+23I have found that education and IQ have no bearing on how smart someone is. So-called intelligent people do stupid things all the time. Have you ever seen a MENSA bumper sticker next to an Obama sticker?

- Iconoclast25, on 03/30/2008, -7/+26"Why would the same U.S. government that allegedly destroyed the WTC shoot down Flight 93 before it could cause similar damage to other buildings? Of course, this question assumes a standard of logical consistency that the 9/11 Truth Movement seems to lack."
"The degree to which the 9/11 Truth Movement will exaggerate and exploit simple misunderstandings does not speak well of their concern for truth."
"The great advantage of the 9/11 Truth Movement’s theories is that they don’t require you to know anything about the Middle East, or for that matter, to know anything significant about world history or politics. This points to another benefit of conspiracy theories — they are oddly comforting."
Long read, but other than the very evident left wing slant in the conclusion, this is well done . . . and completely dispels the delusional claims of the truthers.- ClosedCaption, on 03/30/2008, -17/+8Attacking the theories of others is the easy part. Defending the theories of the Govt is the test. I agree that some truthers theories are over the top, but the theories of the govt are unbelieveable at best. They never examined ANY evidence and say what you will, but Bush and Cheney testified together, not under oath, and no transcript. Fishy doesnt begin to describe why that was neccessary. Just because I mention Bush and Cheney doesnt mean I'm bahing them either. *waiting for the personal attacks*

- Herkimer56, on 03/30/2008, -4/+19The government didn't present theories. They presented facts which had been tested and verified by independent laboratories and investigators. I know that doesn't fir in with the dogma of the Cult of 9/11 but it happens to be true. When has anyone in your cult presented any piece of evidence that was credible and verifiable? Ever? Even once?

- Herkimer56, on 03/30/2008, -7/+12You bury me because he's lying? Interesting set of morals and ethics you cultists have.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey it took eighteen seconds for WTC7 to collapse. Now you know that he's lying, too.

- fedupamerica, on 03/30/2008, -8/+3WTC7 was empty and badly damaged. Even if this crap was true, so what!
- ClosedCaption, on 03/30/2008, -14/+9Why do they spend so much time attacking "truthers" and spend NO time defending the governments claims? I believe its easier to dismiss individuals as being "idiots" or "crazies" than it is to actually defend the government. The proof is in this article.
- pitlord, on 04/23/2008, -1/+5They already released their findings and the findings easily withstand attacks from these idiot "truthers" without the need for anyone to come out and defend them. Unless, you are a complete DUMBASS and you actually believe the truthers' *****.

- ClosedCaption, on 03/30/2008, -10/+7Thanks, but again, not tryin to dismiss this article, but the entire article deals with debunking theories of unnamed conspiray theorist and not defending the conclusions of what happened that day by the government. Its easy to pick the most ludicrous conspiracies and then debunk them. I've seen a number of them myself, but the conclusions by the govt, without evidence or logic in some instances are mind blowingly illogical.
- fedupamerica, on 03/30/2008, -4/+10Oh. I agree. they usually are. The Warren Report was the same way and as a result, conspiracy theories have plagued the Nation. It wasn't till just recently that science was able to refute the theories. It would be nice for the government to prove its claims, but that cost money.
- fedupamerica, on 03/30/2008, -3/+10Science Refuting the Conspiracy Theories that is.
- yellowcakewalk, on 05/10/2008, -3/+4LMAO @ Popular Mechanics.

- RHMiller, on 03/30/2008, -8/+16The burden of proof lies on the "troofers" to prove their own moronic fantasies - they have yet to do so. As for the government's story, it has flaws but those flaws do not bring down the whole house of cards. The theory of evolution has some gaps in it but that doesn't make it wrong. 19 pissed off Muslims flew planes into buildings and it wasn't that hard to do.

- JoeRandom, on 03/31/2008, -6/+9I wonder what would be a worse reality. A government that that literally perpetrated 9/11 to profit and gain power. Or, a government who were too inept or corrupt to stop 9/11 and then after the terrible tragedy used it to profit and gain power anyway. I'm not American and I haven't followed the troof movement, but I find all the anti-troofers funny. They say the American government could never be so evil as to attack its own citizens for power and profit. I put it to the American people that regardless of the truth, your government ***** you greatly on 9/11.
- pitlord, on 04/23/2008, -0/+3If our government is soooo terrible, why is half of the world trying so hard to come to America?

- m2garand, on 03/31/2008, -8/+8As a libertarian I am disappointed that so many other libertarians have been taken in by the 911 truth movement. It distracts us from explaining to people that the US government's foreign policy in the Middle East created these terrorists.
- pitlord, on 04/23/2008, -0/+5These people were terrorists long before the government started training them to attack the Russian Army.

- passiveconsumer, on 04/23/2008, -2/+7I'm definitely not a conspiracy nut, but why did WTC building 7 collapse again? They didn't go over it on '*****', and I've never heard a reason why it collapsed like the two large towers which were blindsided by those *****, *****. I'm not a structural engineer, but I wouldn't think debris from the other two buildings would make it collapse in upon itself like the two that were struck. If anyone knows, share it. I'm curious.
- passiveconsumer, on 04/23/2008, -1/+6Anyone?
- yellowcakewalk, on 05/10/2008, -5/+7I advise ALL people to be very wary of those that would profess to have all the answers, and that would discourage you from asking questions. There is a lot of the official 9/11 story that does not add up, and it's every citizen's duty to ask questions and be curious.
- yellowcakewalk, on 05/10/2008, -4/+6It's kind of like the JFK assassination. Even bringing it up will get you labeled as a conspiracy theorist. Yet, there is still nothing resembling consensus on who the triggermen were. The House Select Committee refuted the Warren Commission report, and gave a list of who DIDN'T do it. But they didn't say who did it.
N.B. Always follow the money, look for motive, means, and opportunity. Ask "who benefits?". It's good to make up scenarios and hold them up for scrutiny, that's how detectives solve crimes. Again, be very wary of those that would mock your curiousity, ask "what is there motive?" - madwaxer, on 05/10/2008, -4/+5what has the gov done?
-lied about weapons in iraq
-used radioactive weapons in battle

...and you think demolishing a set of buildings in one day is beyond them? wake up! - jforjools, on 05/10/2008, -1/+3DUGG --especially for the brilliant PENN & TELLER video.
Believe me, I am NO fan of the current administration or many of its predecessors (on both sides of the aisle)...and I don't believe in blindly/implicitly tracing my complete trust in any government. But even I can see the illogical nature of this conspiracy theory. Yes, there were some govt screwups and yes, there are some things that don't seem to make sense--but it's a HUGE leap to jump into the steaming pile of ***** known as conspiracy.
If you didn't watch the Penn/Teller video, you really ought to.
(There is, however, actual WTC footage that I'm still not comfortable looking at.) - onthewriteside, on 05/10/2008, -2/+4FINALLY! The truth comes out!!! They are idiots!

- yumlum, on 05/11/2008, -1/+5It's Stupid Bush Conspiracy
- devaka, on 05/11/2008, -2/+3I'm agree. All was good planned to make people war with Iraq in 3 years. I feel sorry for american people what was done by Bush
- coonass, on 05/20/2008, -2/+1It would have been highly obvious (not to mention ultra not-bright) to actually do 9/11 not very long after a similar conspiracy appeared as the plot premise on the pilot episode of "The Lone Gunmen." I don't happen to think that Bush II is very strongly gifted intellectually, but I don't think he's the sort of monster that would pull something like this. I also believe that if there were anything but hot, steaming balloon juice to these conspiracy theories, we'd be two years into the civil war of all time. There is no way that operational security on an actual conspiracy that big could be maintained.
The problem is that being Noam Chomsky is all the rage these days, Everyone with an eighth-grade education and access to an Internet account is suddenly gifted with insight to deduce conspiracies that escape the piercing eyes of a vengeful pack of liberal investigative journalists who confuse Bill Burdette with a reliable source on the Bush Air Guard memos story. If there were ANYTHING to this story, it would have come out.
