The State of the Empire
lewrockwell.com — I would prefer that we abandon our empire, for it is, like every other empire in history, bleeding us of treasure and blood. We don't need to have troops in South Korea, Japan, Germany, the Balkans and the Middle East. None of those countries is a threat to us, and all of them are capable of defending themselves.

- CaptA, on 01/07/2008, -0/+7AN oft-stated comment I’ve made: Charley Reese is unusual at displaying “common sense,” which really isn’t so common! This article does demonstrate some good features as well ... until arriving at the point where Charley states in paragraph 6:
“We have many domestic problems that need both the attention and the resources of the government.”
How unfortunate. “Attention and resource?” It must be the drinking water in Orlando, Florida. Committing the “sin” of thinking that “government” is the solution to ANYTHING, is exactly that: a sin! The only thing any government does is use a “gun” via the “collective puking-dog democracy” to “redistribute other people’s money.” THEFT is not a pardonable sin. I am a Sovereign Individual. I refuse to allow the “collectives’ hand” into my wallet without permission. I always maintain an absolute “voluntary” stance with regard to government. I do not allow “theft” to occur. I merely “leave” any venue that has its government enforce the use of its gun, creating an “involuntary” servitude of my wallet. Period.
Unfortunately Charley turns to “government” to use “resources” to solve “domestic problems.” NOW HEAR this: You “implicitly endorse” theft if you “use” government to solve ANY problems amongst people ... period. There is NO compromise. Nada. Capisce? Only those individuals “drunk” on accepting government pelf: wheedlers, gimme-gimmes, trough-suckers, collectivists, egalitarian democracy lovers etc., will disagree. THEY will accept socially sanctioned “theft.” They are the “masses of asses, the true booboisie” who believe that they can VOTE themselves anything they lack in their wretched lived. To steal from your neighbor via the VOTE, is lower than whale *****. Moral turpitude runs high in America. The same can be said here in Europe. That is why I am a Sovereign Individual. Sovereign Individuals do not accept “low-lifers” who try and rely on government to solve their problems as Charley intimates in the above statement. Again, it might be the drinking water... Who knows? Who cares? Not this S.I. ~ Capt. A., Waterford Ireland
