- muckemuck, on 08/05/2008, -0/+32But Obama IS about Changing the status quo. .. except he's backed by the status quo and caves into the demands of the status quo. For example he sucked right up to AIPAC and shocked the Arabs: http://tinyurl.com/6y9chd because they thought he was really going to change how the US operates in the Middle East.
- Vali585, on 08/05/2008, -0/+15The only thing he changes is his position on issues, and I hope, his underwear and socks.
- inactive, on 08/05/2008, -1/+13While I strongly support Ron Paul and his ideas, they won't be of much value if they kill us all!!! Prepare to survive an economic meltdown and martial law simultaneously.
- mozarker, on 08/05/2008, -2/+14The flame of liberty has been rekindled. There will be an ebb and flow, valleys and peaks but the flame cannot be extinguished. The United States of America will again reinstate her sovereignty and focus on what's best for HER citizens.
- sandsafari, on 08/05/2008, -1/+12Good message. I do wish, however, that writers would remember to mention that not only the media has marginalized Ron Paul's message, but his own party, The GOP, has done so, too.
http://www.rallyfortherepublic.com - kekemortson, on 08/05/2008, -0/+11I hope it takes root and grows. The status-quo and the "only two parties" is not working. America needs more choices. I wish the main stream media would give equal coverage to the third party candidates...they have some really good things to say that a lot of hard-working Americans would like to hear!

Wake up! - dcbpe, on 08/06/2008, -1/+10Ladies and gents we need more than hope...we need money and balls.
I think we'll do just fine. This article rocks, and I will do my part to make it viral! - inactive, on 08/06/2008, -0/+9Rally for the Republic!
http://www.rallyfortherepublic.com/ - Habit4ming, on 08/06/2008, -1/+9McCain and Obama are both corrupt politicians; there will be no change should either of them be elected. McCain flip-flops all the time; Obama flip-flopped on Fisa...all they are doing is showing us they cannot be trusted, imo...
- jfej004, on 08/06/2008, -0/+7Interesting to see someone whose sole purpose is trying to undermine Dr. Paul's success. Check out this poster's name lol.
- 3ugene, on 08/06/2008, -1/+7Hold on, let's look at every other former presidential candidate's web traffic, ticket sales, and raising of funds. Now compare them to Ron Paul's current popularity.
Ron Paul in 2012! - inactive, on 08/05/2008, -0/+6I haven't seen that one! Thanks 4 sharing =)
- tajitj, on 08/05/2008, -0/+5I truely hope he endorses or strongly recommends a candidate for president. No matter who it is. Even if he brings Baldwin and Barr to the Rally and tells people to pick whoever you want. To many are trying to encourage Dr. Paul supporters to go one way or the other.
- P8triot1, on 08/06/2008, -0/+5That would be my addition, too. Paul's thoughts do not go far enough. "Greed is good" will always bring us down. We are in this boat together, here at home and abroad.
- TruthisTreason, on 08/06/2008, -0/+4Obama and McCain are the same candidate, there is no choice. Either vote is for Big Government.
- inactive, on 08/06/2008, -1/+4I thank-U !
- voicce, on 08/06/2008, -1/+4excellent voice for freedom -- I look forward to hearing more from you Julio.
- Trustar247, on 08/06/2008, -1/+4That was a good video, really puts things into perspective. Thanks in deed!

- inactive, on 08/06/2008, -3/+4Laissez faire economics has failed every time the right wing has forced it into public policy. It doesn't matter if your political party is called Republican or Libertarian, the ideology of "greed is good" is a proven fail.
How many times are you going to trust Lucy to hold that football, Charlie Brown? - inactive, on 08/07/2008, -0/+1If the economy is able to run with little restrictions then the free market will work. The reason it hasn't worked in the past is because of government interference. The government always steps in and restricts the free market and favors the chosen few who have political connections, both Democrats and Republicans are guilty of that. You mock the idea of "greed is good" but is it wrong to want something or to better your situation? Are you suggesting communism because that didn't work either?
- TruthExposed, on 08/06/2008, -1/+1Wow, very good point. For an X candidate he is near the top in all of history.
Not that I think he will run in 2012.
I am glad that he has made the impact he has made, and it is growing - his issues are no longer fringe issues, I see them frequently discussed in the mainstream media. - pbd1637, on 08/06/2008, -3/+1Julio Almanza the author.
Jolio, if you don't understand how we got involved in the first gulf war (which is in fact the same ware we are involved in now) you need to study history as well. The last time we let some psycho dictator run amok, he almost destroyed the world. That was Hitler.
Saddam Hussein invaded Kuwait for no particular reason at all. Just to see if the world would let him get away with it. The world did not. Saddam signed a peace accord that (among other things) demanded that Iraq allow weapons inspectors to come in at any time and search any where for weapons of mass destruction. Saddam repeatedly kicked them out, in violation of the peace agreement he signed. Irregardless if there were any WMDs or not, this act alone is justification enough to end Saddam's rule. (By the way, if you think Bush lied, so did Hilliary, Ted Kennedy and John Kerry, just to name a few.)
There are many things about the Ron Paul campaign I like, but we cannot turn our backs on the world and hope everything turns out O.K. We did that in the early twentieth century and WW1 started and we waited to see what happened. When we were drawn into the war it ended much faster. We ignored Hitler and the third Reich and he started WW2.
War is not the only answer. In fact it should be the last resort. But, he who does not learn from history is doomed to repeat it. A small conflict now is much preferred over a major one later. As an example, the U.S. lost more men during the D-Day invasion than we have lost during the entire Gulf war. - nomorepaul, on 08/05/2008, -26/+2Buried as inaccurate. The movement is not growing as indicated by lousy ticket sales, declining web traffic, and the inability to raise money any more.
