- BlacklabelSAR, on 03/26/2008, -1/+2Are you advocating completely open borders? Ok sure, if there are zero social services, because as human as we all are, the U.S. public cannot afford to pay for all the world's poor. Might I suggest that the Mexicans, por exemple, overthrow their corrupt government. If the U.S. wasn't the path of least resistance, maybe that would happen.
Or maybe I should somehow expect Germany to help me out? Oh wait, I'm not German so that would be rediculous wouldn't it?...
And to anyone who IS advocating that open borders, why doesn't your family adopt/care for 6 poor people from Africa? They are needy right?
My wife and I will eventually immigrate to Canada if possible. We will go through the legal procedures. - Erich100, on 03/26/2008, -1/+1Illegal immigration is not a victimless crime. Crime means against the law, in case some of you have forgotten. Bank robbery is against the law, so there is a price to pay if you do it.
- izackcarson, on 03/27/2008, -1/+1Why are we assuming the government has the right to interfere in a person's relationships? The government should not have the power to keep you from marrying who you should marry.
