Democrats. Meet the new boss. Same as the old boss. - appleann1, on 10/11/2007, -2/+15FTA:
“[W]e promised the American people that we would have the most honest and most open government and we will.” (Nancy Pelosi press stakeout, December 6, 2006)
“We intend to have a Rules Committee ... that gives opposition voices and alternative proposals the ability to be heard and considered on the floor of the House.” (Steny Hoyer in CongressDaily PM, December 5, 2006)
This isn't the first time they've done this. - Euangelion, on 10/11/2007, -1/+12We need to abolish "withholding". When people are forced to write a check once a year to the government maybe we can shut down these greedy pigs. How dare they take money from one group of people and give it to another for votes, then call the first group greedy for wanting to keep more of what they earn. What a bunch of selfish glutenous greedy hogs these politicians are.
- NotaSlickFan, on 10/11/2007, -1/+10Pelosi's 'ethics' are about as strong and deeply felt as those of the Clinton clan--non-existent. Too bad so many people in this country are still fooled by the party of sleaze, tax hikes, corruption, pandering, perjury, cowardice and well, you name it.
- eagle22s, on 10/11/2007, -1/+10Isn't that like a oxymoron or something, using the words ethical and Clinton in the same sentence?
