FTA:
"The polls don't tell us the reason for Mr. Obama's huge partisan gap, but a few sources of opposition angst are clear. Since taking office, the president has pushed legislation that breaks one campaign pledge after another by veering far to the left of his moderate campaign rhetoric."

Not only are his mammoth spending plans, leftist social policies and grossly unqualified appointments giving the lie to his moderate posturing on the campaign trail. He is also now on the international stage. The international media are not nearly as heavily invested in Obama as US media, and are less likely to engage in the obsequious suppression of his gaffes and contradictory statements made to appease the audience of the moment. The foreign policy blunders he began to make immediately upon taking office are revealing the fantasies on which those policies are based.
In short, the Emperor's nudity is becoming harder and harder to ignore. Soon even die-hard storm troopers like Bob Bechel will find it difficult to reconcile the ugly realities with the Hope-Change propaganda. Ultimately, only the most purblind devotees of Dear Leader will be able to ignore the truth.
The real question is how much damage this fool and his tools can do before a disgusted electorate can get them the hell out of there. Much like Carter, but on a scale few could imagine before his election. - pookydirt, on 04/10/2009, -1/+1Excellent assessment...
