North County Gazette is a web blog that frequently attacks pro-life advocates like LifeNews.com, WorldNetDaily and others that report on pro-life topics. The one who has been discredited is Steven Ertelt and he's currently the subject of several investigations for attempts to interfere with free enterprise. Ertelt got caught stealing material. He continues to attempt to falsely portray NCG and its publisher negatively while there are documented attempts of Ertelt trying to terminate the web hosting account of NCG, the domain registration and the ISP of the publisher. Censorship has no role in a free society. Steven Ertelt believes he should be able to control the content of other people's websites. Ertelt recklessly and malciously makes false statements---the elements of libel. The NCG has never attacked "pro-life" sites and Ertelt's statements are wholly untrue. Ertelt got caught with his pants down, taking other people's work and has been on a vendetta ever since. First Amendment advocates will handle Mr. Ertelt and his attempted censorship

- 5coop2, on 04/05/2008, -1/+3If disgraced and discredited blogger June Maxam mentions censorship, Maxam needs to include a disclaimer detailing her massive efforts to censor content on other's websites, Maxam's efforts against other's hosting companies, and her attacks on domain name registration companies. Often, first time visitors to Maxam's blog are banned from ever returning as Maxam maintains a growing list of blocked IP addresses - so in essence she's even censoring her own blog. Previously exposed as a liar and conspiracy theorist, now hypocrite joins the list. Maxam's journalistic efforts to date have been minimal, and crash and burn under peer review. While 99% of the content on her blog consists of news she's grabbed from other sites to keep her "COMMENTARY" and "EDITORIAL" attack, conspiracy posts, and pay per click ads from running together, she accuses others of "stealing" so-called news from her site and elsewhere. Maxam trolls comment sections on 3rd party sites, using a variety of aliases (legaleagle, scoop2, etc) to attack anyone who doesn't share her twisted views. As the number of visitors to her site dwindles, her attacks on other sites and individuals only grow in number and ferocity.

He malciously, relentlessly attacks certain people. He needs to seek mental counseling. Frankly, if someone like Jack Mehoff or Brian White or Steven Ertelt is abusing the privilege of visiting a website or is stealing material or engaging in other nefarious actions, the owner has the right to ban them from visiting, just like when a person is trespassing on someone's proeprty. They need to get over it. Surfing on the Internet reveals that Ertelt, Mehoff under mustbme have been lurking on various forums, including Ertelt posting numerous libelous articles at Digg, trying to discredit, embarass and NCG iand June Maxam in every way possible including repeated false information. Those situations are under legal review. A person has the right to control their own website and unwelcome visitors are removed, just like when someone trespasses on your private properly. Sources at NCG indicated that several individuals are under criminal investigation for the malicious attacks on the award winning North Country Gazette which include computer intrusion, threats, intimidation, possession of stolen property and harassment. NCG says civil matters are being explored including misappropriation of name and image, copyright infringement and other issues.

I can't speak for the person responding here, but I can tell you that I have no interest in this juvenile back and forth. End the false attacks and you won't hear from me again. It's a simple as that. We'll see if you're more interested in attacking me and others or really interested in ending a silly feud by how you respond.

Badcopnews loves to engaged in misappropriations of names, identity theft, masquerade under the names and screen names of other people. Badcopnews calls everyone else nutcases, whackjobs, etc---he/she/it should take a real hard look in the mirror. Good for Road Runner---the anonymous coward at BadcopNews who thinks he can't be identifed bragged about shutting off visitors to the North Country Gazette website---now he's whining that Road Runner did it to him.
