  • risabee, on 07/22/2008, -0/+1This kind of thing is understandable, in the wake of the creation of Fox News Network (whose very name is the precise fulfillment of one George Orwell's discussion of the destruction of meaningful language for nefarious purposes) because innuendo is a form of entertainment and as such is distinct from news journalism. The editor's retraction was a model of clarity and ethical journalism and I applaud the paper's willingness to clean up its act in public.
