- maddhopps, on 09/21/2008, -2/+237Seems like Ron Paul has gotten more air time in the past week than during the entire primaries.
- bruno1969, on 09/21/2008, -8/+221Ron Paul knocks it out of the park again. This man should have been invited to the secret weekend meetings with Paulson, Helicopter Ben, and Congress. We are seeing the end of capitalism at the the expsense of the American taxpayers.
Here is RP 20 years ago bringing the issues to light that we are experiencing now. It's 45 minutes long, but if you only listen to the first two you will see how prophetic he was at the time> http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-424516948 ... - digitronix, on 09/21/2008, -3/+174Funny how Ron Paul is all the sudden relevant now that people realize that he was right all along.
- olehounddog, on 09/21/2008, -7/+160Being a Doctor, Ron knows a bandaid is not going to stop an arterial bleed.
- Erich100, on 09/21/2008, -3/+139It appeared that Wolf (Aipac) Blitzer was struggling for a plausible argument against Ron Paul and couldn't come up with one.
- libertygal76, on 09/21/2008, -4/+132Best part was when Wolf asked who Ron Paul would support and he said "well, neither of those two!" LOL Good for Ron! He should be president!!

New site premieres october 1st - latropa, on 09/21/2008, -3/+111It's nice to see a politician who is actually able to admit that doing what is necessary won't be a rosy picture. Essentially... "Not bailing out these companies will be bad for our economy short term. Bailing them out will be significantly worse long term."
- inactive, on 09/21/2008, -3/+111McCain wishes he knew half of what Ron Paul knows.
- pistonhonda, on 09/21/2008, -4/+84I agree with Ron. Obama is a great rhetorician and is exceptional at pointing out the flaws in his opponent. He is not, however, presenting any worthwhile solutions.
And I certainly share his closing sentiment. My support still rests with Paul. - Vodd9, on 09/21/2008, -6/+77So, there's this guy who's shooting heroin to himself. Upon his growing addiction, his life has been slowly going downwards, but he doesn't realize it because he keeps himself high on the drug. If he stopped when his addiction was only starting, the bad effects of quitting the drug wouldn't have been so bad, but today his whole life depends on heroin and quitting it is now almost impossible because the side effects of sobering would be incredibly huge. Not only this, but his own life is now practically owned by his drug dealer, all because of heroin addiction. If his drug dealer decides to cut the drug by a certain percentage, our guy might go a bit down but it won't be so bad because he's still on the drug. If the dealer decides to purify it by a certain percentage, the guy will slightly feel better for a certain time, but his dependency on the drugg will still keep growing, making it harder for him to quit while the tolerance of his body for the drug keeps growing. Leading a sober life would give him a stable life that can allow him to work to earn a long-time gratification, while heroin only gives him a short, temporary gratification.
America is on a drug called the credit, and the one and only dealer from which it's available is called the FED.
I'll let you think about the rest from here. - inactive, on 09/21/2008, -7/+78Dugg for Ron Paul.
- pistonhonda, on 09/21/2008, -2/+70“Always vote for principle, though you may vote alone, and you may cherish the sweetest reflection that your vote is never lost.” -John Quincy Adams
- HuskyPuzzle, on 09/21/2008, -4/+66I wish this guy had the Mic more often. I think he's got a lot of stuff right.
- indyattic, on 09/22/2008, -3/+64We should be heading to Washington, not bitching on the internet.
- kidid, on 09/21/2008, -3/+51Vindication is sweet, isn't it. Too bad it has to be with such dismal news.
- wolfbrawler, on 09/21/2008, -1/+44I have 100% respect and admiration for Ron Paul. He is my hero, and I believe pretty much everything he says.
Here's my dilemma:
Ron Paul said to vote third party come November. However, I live in Colorado. I feel like a third party vote would be throwing my vote away in a crucial swing state. And it would absolutely kill me from the inside if that bumbling, lying, cheating, fool McShame got the presidency.
So fellow diggers and Ron Paul lovers, what do I do
Vote Obama or listen to Paul and vote thrid party? - MooseOfReason, on 09/22/2008, -5/+48MEDIA: "Oh, it seems that Paul guy was right about the economy. Maybe we ought to make up for ignoring him the whole primary season."
By the way, Paul nailed that interview. - inactive, on 09/21/2008, -1/+43I get the impression that even though Wolf Blitzer is a committed Zionist and former AIPAC lobbyist, he still respects Dr. Paul. He invites him on his show regularly and he is a lot less manipulative in his questions than Glenn Beck is.
- NotYourProdigy, on 09/22/2008, -3/+45Bush's financial advisor was fired for saying the war on terror would be closer to $200 billion, rather than $50 billion? We have attracted the nuttiest of nut-bags to Washington.
If Ron Paul tells me to vote for Bob Barr, then I'll do it. I've been drinking the Ron Paul kool-aide, and its good. - Parisjune, on 09/22/2008, -5/+48I hope all the Obama and McCain lovers on Digg have their financial houses in order -- change is coming.
- malongal, on 09/22/2008, -4/+46Your vote will only be wasted if you vote for the lesser of two evils. Vote on your gut for the MAN, not the political party and help us change this corrupt system for the future.
- zephyr42, on 09/22/2008, -4/+44The rational media is realizing that he knows what the ***** he's talking about.
- Fullmetalpizza, on 09/22/2008, -3/+40Ron Paul is the man.
- inactive, on 09/22/2008, -4/+40that man should be president
- btschul, on 09/22/2008, -3/+37So does Obama.
- SauceSpot, on 09/21/2008, -7/+42either way with mccaine or obama, its pretty much the same, we'll lose in one way or another
- BBCILOVEU, on 09/22/2008, -6/+40Anyone who doesn't support Ron Paul's ideas regarding the economy is lunatic fringe
- iamvahe, on 09/21/2008, -1/+34I think that's the first time I've heard any politician make such a statement.
Ron Paul 2012 - NotYourProdigy, on 09/22/2008, -1/+33I always knew. But I did used to get dugg down pretty far when I supported him.
- headzoo, on 09/22/2008, -1/+33Where Paul gets it right, and the reason he isn't as popular as the other candidates, is he expects people to change, not just government. He expects every middle class American citizen to take responsibility for their own actions, to start living within their means, and stop thinking the government can fix everything. Sadly people don't want to hear that.
- StilesBC, on 09/22/2008, -2/+32Voting for the lesser of two evils is the bane of democracy. The people who created the democratic system never did so with the expectation that people would do so.
Make a statement. Voting for Obama sends the message that all of this is OK, but needs to be done a 'little bit' differently. - identifiedlogo, on 09/22/2008, -0/+29I just cant believe how republicans passed on Ron Paul and ended up with these clowns. UNF****Believable
- MooseOfReason, on 09/22/2008, -2/+30Pitchforks and torches. Let's go!
- rmccs0x, on 09/22/2008, -2/+30our country will continue to go to ***** until someone like paul or someone with libertarian like values gets in office.
- seocookie, on 09/22/2008, -1/+29Call your Representatives and Senators and demand they don't pass this bailout package, regardless of the amount requested.
- NightVortez, on 09/22/2008, -2/+29Have to completely agree with Paul once again, Obama is more focused winning the election and defeating McCain then spreading a way to fix the issues which concern our country, I'd love to vote for him but I have to know that he is much more than just another politician who is hungry for power.
These issues will always come up, when the bubble creates opportunities we spend like no tomorrow but when trouble comes we don't know how to stop, budgets need to be cut, a period in which we are at a downfall has to be created. If we keep prolonging it the way we are now, all of those things will hit our economy at one time harder than ever before, that's how depressions are created, and unless we do something quick it's almost impending at this point. It's quite depressing that neither of the candidates speak out of a way to stop it. - Erich100, on 09/21/2008, -0/+27Agreed. It was more like he was trying to defend the bail out rather than attack Ron Paul.
- savethehobos, on 09/21/2008, -5/+31He should've been our next president. The thing is, is that even though the economic policies he was talking about a year ago..hell a decade ago, were so radical, that the media wasn't going to give him the light of day. But here you have John McCain the "Maverick" and the slick talking Barak Obama making all these great talking points look like gold in each camp. Only thing is that the gold was actually shoveled ***** and the media bought it right up. So who gets the most coverage on ABC, MSNBC, CNN, and Fox. The guys that can shovel the best looking *****.
But now, when we have a real economic collapse, who do we go to with those radical ideas that would actually work. Who do we go to that's been telling us all along that this monetary system that we're under is going to fail us and we're going to pay the price? Who did we go to that said we need to cut back our excessive spending cause its gonna get us into a ***** load of trouble?
Dr. Ron Paul. The man that should be running for the Republican party. - NightVortez, on 09/22/2008, -0/+25Glenn Beck who initially did nothing but trash Paul's supporters now has him almost as a regular guest, now that the presidential campaign is out of the way, the news networks actually care what he has to say.
- phesen, on 09/22/2008, -0/+25I don't think he'll ever get higher than he is because I believe he's honest. An honest politician is not a concept people accept as possible. :) I must say Ron Paul would be very good for the USA.
- ricoboy24, on 09/22/2008, -1/+24This guy is smart.
- inactive, on 09/21/2008, -2/+24I think Wolf Blitzer gives Ron Paul a fair platform, more than any other cable news network. I don't know what the hell Blitzer being a member of AIPAC has to do with the fact that the economy is going to *****.
He politely let Dr. Paul speak, and let him speak for a while...that's good enough for me. - MrFunStuff, on 09/22/2008, -5/+29Y would you vote for OBAMA after you all ready know the TWO PARTY is a lie. They have ALMOST identical polices. It is Bush's police. Do you want to know a secret nether BUSH, OBAMA or MCAIN came up with their policies. They benefit MANLY war profiteers and international bakers. Obama does want universal health care But how could we pay for it. The USA is 9,670,458,368,757.75$ in Debt and still climbing y becaues of are monetary POLICES.The same BUSH has. The same POLICES OBAMA has. The SAME POLICES MCAIN has. a vote for them is a vote for more senseless wars, more under minding of are Constitution, and A DEBT bases monitory system(A.K.A the Federal Reserve a private company). Y not look at 3rd Party candidates that have good policies and show your support to them.(this will encourage more honest candidates because they know they will be supported) or Dont vote out of protest because none of these candidates deserves your vote.
U.S.A's Debt clock http://www.brillig.com/debt_clock/ - algaeturd, on 09/22/2008, -1/+23Americans never once stopped to consider the facts that Dr. Paul offered up about the Federal Reserve...the problem needed fixed long ago and they're just putting a band aid on a situation that will eventually blow and erupt. The bubble popping is definitely inevitable. There's nothing we can do to stop that. What we can do is what Ron spoke about...RETHINK the economy, restructure the system and bite the bullet on a short-term bad economy.
This is going to get bad, folks. That's not scaremongering. Every economist who doesn't have a stake in this bailout is saying the same thing. Time to tighten up, live below your means and pay for the past decades of affluence. Do it by choice now, payoff debt and cut back on expenses because this is going to get BAD. - georgemason01, on 09/22/2008, -3/+26"Obama is a great rhetorician and is exceptional at pointing out the flaws in his opponent. He is not, however, presenting any worthwhile solutions."
His supporters seem to do the same thing. Most of the political articles and videos hitting the front page here aren't pro-Obama; they're merely anti McCain/Palin, and often repetitive. The same is true with the comments - rarely anything about Obama and his policies, just McCain/Palin bashing. - kolinkoolface2, on 09/22/2008, -2/+23i find it fascinating how much everyone wrote Ron Paul off for his "crazy" economic outlooks. 5 months later, everything he has been saying for the better part of his career is unfolding. We want a president that is good on economics, no? Well Obama and McCain have both said they are not to good on economics. Why the hell are we looking at ether one for solutions then?
- BowieX, on 09/22/2008, -4/+23Campaign for Obama, vote third party. That would be my plan if I was American.
If Obama does a great job, great! But if he tanks (and he probably will) Ron Paul will be the old white Republican we need in the White House in 2012.
(And yes, Ron Paul runs every morning and his mind is sharper than all of them combined. He can survive till 2020.) - s0m31john, on 09/21/2008, -5/+24"Ron Paul on CNN's Late Edition with Wolf Blitzer's Beard."
Fixed - brad3378, on 09/22/2008, -0/+19I'd love how John McCain is quoted in this clip saying "I will lead in the creation of the Mortgage & Financial Institutions trust".........While in another clip from the debates he claims he doesn't know that much about economics.
We're doomed. -
