- Rotzooi, on 01/29/2008, -1/+7Because of their honesty and bravery, neither Kucinich nor Gravel ever had a chance of becoming President.
Whether you like it or not, you need to compromise in order to rally enough people to get elected. Even your values.
Let's hope we'll end up with the least of the many evils that are electable as of now.- TrevaLVF, on 02/01/2008, -0/+1Mike Gravel is all that's left for the Dem race.
I know a lot of long-time members of the Democratic Party that have either decided, or are considering leaving the party out of disgust now that they see what has become of it. My mom is one of them, a Dem for over 50 years. Fed up with the compromises, which worsen all the time. But she and I both wanted Kucinich to win.

- rmd34, on 01/29/2008, -0/+9I can't help but wonder how Dennis Kucinich and Mike Gravel would have done if they had been given the media exposure they deserved. I can't believe that people listening to their message would have been as quick as the Corporate run Media in censoring them. Early censorship of popular and viable viewpoints is the real crime here.
Television and conventional print media were once again too busy looking out for their interests and in the process... destroyed the democratic process. - tom500k, on 01/31/2008, -0/+2Vote against all the crooks and liars in office except Rep. Kucinich and the congress people who are publicly supporting the impeachment resolution against Cheney. We have been screwed long enough by both the parties-- actually just one ugly bird with 2 wings. The 98% of the Democrats and 100% of the Republicans hold us in the same contempt they show to the Bill of Rights.
- TrevaLVF, on 02/01/2008, -0/+1My mom has been a Democratic Party member for over 50 years. The direction this party has taken and its leaders' refusal to defend all of the party's candidates from being censored by the corporate media are just two things that made her decide, "This is the last straw." She understood why I left the party in 1995 and why I had stopped campaigning and voting for Democratic presidential candidates, until Kucinich ran for the 2004 presidential election.
It's going to take a mass exodus from the Democratic Party to make its leaders and the wanna-be leaders (DLC) realize what a mistake they made by turning the party into a bi-partisan corporate club.
Keep plugging in there, Gravel. Don't let the pigs get you down!
