- szelij, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2He can't be president anymore. He doesn't have a chance in hell. His opponents, should he become the Republican nominee will absolutely butcher him because of his remarks.
The Republicans know better than to send in a sure-loser. - sneakerchad, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4The amazing thing is that S.R. Sidarth (aka Macaca) was born and raised in Virgina while Allen is a carpet-bagger from California. But then, irony is lost on Republicans.
- Pacotheparrot, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Say it with me here Senator......."DOH!"
- spsnomad, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3It boggles the mind. Born in California, but he later embraced the extreme right wing and Confederate flags. He's a potential 2008 presidential candidate, and the media needs to DIGG further into this.
- Popdmb, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I can't check the video at work, but the transcript might be off. FTA:
"But people care — only the media asks about it."
If he says that people do care, but only the media are asking, then this entire article is a load of *****. I'm not burying it as innaccurate becuase I can't see the video. Anyone want to confirm? - candiru, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2George Allen must acknowledge his mistake. He is a liar for making his excuses. After all, why are there so many different stories from each of his campaign workers? From an interpretation of Sidarth's haircut to the neologism of the term "*****", it is obvious that you are a racist, George Allen, now own up to it. You didn't "welcome" him to America for no reason. And stop making up ***** that it was to genuinely welcome him to that specific area of the country. Now does that make sense George? Please be honest with yourself and with America. People like YOU are the reason for the omnipresent image of the LYING politician.
You thought you could get away with it? You think we voters are all like the ignorant hicks that your conservative base is largely composed of? Let me tell you, everyone is watching you become a fool every time you speak in defense of yourself, every time you avoid an apology for your racism (not your offending statement, your racism), every time your story changes.
Personally, when I see your face, I see a Senator who does not represent me, but one who represents that face who called me a chink, the elderly church going "do-gooders" who shun me just because of the way I look, the kids who see me as their entertainment when I was younger, the people who imitates in exaggeration my mom's accent. And maybe you're proud of that, maybe that's YOUR America, but it's not mine. - timpkmn89, on 10/12/2007, -8/+1*is Virginian*
