I will admit I had never thought of the Constitution outlawing abortion. As Joseph Farah outlines, the Constitution does, in fact, protect those generations that are unborn. This needs to be trumpeted by all people who believe in the Constitution. I am sure that Antonin Scalia has just never put the two thoughts together like Joseph Farah did in this article.

Justice Scalia is quoted as saying "It (abortion) is one of the many subjects not in the Constitution which is therefore left to democracy." Excuse me Mr. Scalia, but our founders gave us a consitutionally limited republic, not a democracy! With that very statement, you have disqualified yourself from serving on the Supreme Court, and in the judiciary altogether.

Apparently Scalia knows the constitution better than Joe. Scalia knows full well those articles are talking about the living, already born! But Joe evidently took debate in college, because he was able to pull a ***** argument out of those articles that clearly are not talking about the unborn.

Sigh.... here we go again. Scalia was saying the so-called "right" to abortion is not in the Constitution. And he's right. He's also right that Roe v. Wade was a terrible decision and should be overturned immediately so we can one again prohibit abortions.

Sigh... here we go again. Just like states queuing up to enter the Union, designated as either *slave* or *free* - overturning the terrible decision of Roe v. Wade will only keep the Republic divided in prohibiting abortions. Will Montana allow abortion? Doesn't matter, I'll simply get in my covered wagon and drive to Nevada.

On page 3 of the pdf file, it's listed as the FIRST of four priorities of his administration.

On page 5 he reiterates the wording of the Constitution's Preamble like Farah:

"It is already clear in the Constitution that the ultimate aim of our government is to secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity. Our posterity, including of course the elemental part of posterity that lies in the womb, is placed by the Constitution on an equal level with ourselves in terms of the claims to liberty. The question is answered right there in the Constitution, and we simply need to respect that answer. Whether you are talking about children in the womb or innocent people in the World Trade Center, the abortionists and the terrorists have no right to target innocent human life."

The REAGAN Republican Platform believed this all along, otherwise it wouldn't have stated: "We support a Human Life Amendment to the Constitution, and we endorse legislation to make it clear that the Fourteenth Amendment's protections apply to unborn children."

Wasn't Keyes the original proponent of this idea, not Farah?
