- williamdyer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Santorum is a sociopath. He is also an RIAA dickstroker.
- BadassCheese, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Ricky should be fired from whatever job he has.
- hawkeye17, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Santorum is such a sad little man. Not to worry though, in 2 months he'll be back in obscurity where idiots like him belong.
- jpalmer99, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I watched this episode of Meet the Press. This is the first time I have seen Casey and I already had my prejudices against Santorum. I am rooting for Casey but he did not do well at all in this debate. If I remember correctly Casey didn't say one word back to Santorum about his dad. I think Russert gave Santorum more counterpoint than Casey did. If I heard about the Special Ops again I thought I was going to throw something at the screen. Casey also let Santorum get away with saying more than a few times that he didn't have anything specific by coming back with....you guessed it nothing specific (or Special Ops).
I think the Democrats are coming on stronger but they had better come up with an answer to this 'no plan' stuff. Casey didn't have jack to say to that. Dean was a lot better on this question on Face the Nation (Casey take note). Republicans control the entire government and the only plan they have is to 'stay the course' and the Democrats are the ones accused of not having a plan?
Sorry to rant but I just expected more. The L.A. Times editorials kind of predicted Casey might not do well so I was even braced for it. I mean running against Santorum during these times should be like shooting ducks in a barrel. But Casey missed the entire barrel in this showing. - NoahVail, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Santorum is definitely a Bush "rubberstamp" who actually believes the crap that he spouts. The trouble is, he has never thought through WTF he is saying. I am willing to bet that most Americans do not want to live in a world (e.g. the world that Rick lives in) where the Catholic church represents the most liberal element in our society.
It is way past time for Santorum's departure. We do not need any more idiological fools in congress at this crucial point time. - sharpfork, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Santorum is the poster boy for the right wing religious social conservatives. I give him credit for standing up for his beliefs- most other social conservatives talk one way and legislate another. Don't get me wrong, Santorum needs to go for his extreme views. At least he says what he truly believes unlike many other social conservatives who try to hide their extreme views from those they represent.
- williamdyer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Santorum is p0wned by GODLESS HOLLYWOOD. Clearly his "beliefs" can be bought.
- drftjgoj, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It takes a lot of cajones to tell someone their dead father would be disappointed with them in a *political* debate. Ricky might have cajones, but he's a complete idiot who should be voted out of office in a few months.
- theone3, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Freedom of speech or not, no-one should ever stoop that low. Hell, I wouldn't say that sort of thing to a Nazi...
