- specsaregood, on 10/11/2007, -0/+21Somebody at the ronpaulforums dug up this gem:
http://www.rothcpa.com/archives/001719.php
"The group "Iowans for Tax Relief" has a name that belies its purpose. It supports special interest carve-outs and corporate welfare tax subsidies that shrink the tax base and raise the rates on the rest of us. It also refuses to even consider eliminating the deduction for state income taxes in exchange for lower rates. " - SwordOfShannara, on 10/11/2007, -1/+21Well if it does then we need to exodus over to Reddit or something. Screw digg. If they don't want any more Ron Paul supporters on their site we're going to leave. Will anyone join me? If we don't take a stand against this type of thing won't end- that you can count on.

Do not let this die down.
Make an absolute committment to keep the pressure on...and on....and on.
Live Free or Die isn't just a slogan. - RonaldHLevine, on 10/11/2007, -0/+16Ron Paul has:
- never voted to raise taxes
- never voted for an unbalanced budget
- never voted to raise congressional pay
What are the principles of Iowans for Tax Relief since they are at odds with that? - HNowak, on 10/11/2007, -1/+17Let's turn this around. Please spread the word & sign the petition: http://www.petitiononline.com/rp063007/petition.html
- SwordOfShannara, on 10/11/2007, -0/+15ehh- just checked out reddit- kind of seems to suck but can't be sure.. anyone know of any other good digg sites out there?
- tardmongerster, on 10/11/2007, -0/+15Shoutwire.com is another one. Digg especially hates it because they copied Digg.
- PatriotOne, on 10/11/2007, -1/+16That's *****. We aren't some of Rudy's thugs.
DO NOT CALL RELATIVES! - RonaldHLevine, on 10/11/2007, -0/+14It's funny, but after I took the time to write a long e-mail for them to consider the purposes of their organization in banning Ron Paul, I got a notice that my e-mail was undeliverable to them.
The following recipient(s) could not be reached:
itr@taxrelief.org on 6/19/2007 5:29 PM
But, I found another way. E-mail didn't work, so I went to their website and looked for another way to contact them. I can't really take off from work to telephone them during business hours and I didn't find anything other than the e-mail address that didn't send from my computer, so I became resourceful and found a way.
I clicked on "Donate" and selected PayPal. Normally I would donate a reasonable amount to an organization that works for "Tax Relief," but I question if they are true to their purpose when they ban Ron Paul who is all about tax relief. Actually, I was a little bit frustrated with the irony of that, so I used PayPal to contribute $0.13 or thirteen cents.
Then I copy and pasted the e-mail that I tried to send into a box called: "Add special instructions to seller"
I hope they raise a lot of money in donations in PayPal payments from contributors in the amount of thirteen cents each. - brentsanders, on 10/11/2007, -1/+14i don't want to give advertisers any reason to invest capitol into digg.com. not after my experience here. i'd like to see this site go under with all the trolls that think they OWN this site.
- Marsharks, on 10/11/2007, -0/+13I think Paypal charges .30 cents per transaction too, so they lost .17 cents!!
- Marsharks, on 10/11/2007, -0/+12The president of the Iowans for Tax relief is Jeff Boeyink ( Boy-ink)
His number is (563) 264-0255- at home.

I couldn't get through on the phone, so i sent them a fax.
here is their office fax number: 563-264-2413 - PatriotOne, on 10/11/2007, -0/+12Send a message to these people who are trying to manipulate the masses into voting for thier special interests. Let them know we are gong to take this anymore. Seak up and be heard. It's the only way we can get things done.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+11Ed Failor, is a Senior Advisor to the McCain Campaign in Iowa. Everyone calling him should be aware of that.
- PatriotOne, on 10/11/2007, -0/+10Absolutely. I've rattle the cage a couple times today. I'm saving myself for a second surge tomorrow since their offices are closed now. We need to keep the pressure on daily.

- remaxjon, on 10/11/2007, -2/+11If we don't stay on top of this ***** Dr Paul is going to be taken advantage off everywhere. Remember he is the good guy the guy that tells the truth the guy that stands by principle the guy that's smart but quite the guy that wouldn't do anything out of line. So lets be the ***** that harass these ***** for the next 10 days.

- tardmongerster, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8And here:
http://www.shoutwire.com/comments/75336/Ron_Paul_Exclued_From_Iowa - DGHarrison, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8The trolls you're talking about are none other than the neo-con RINO supporters of the other nine "Republican" candidates. Perhaps there're a few Shrillary and Obamination supporters burying the story as well. It's not Digg's fault; it's a war between us Paul supporters and them RINOs. We're busy digging out our story, and they're busy trying to bury it. Perhaps, if you have the energy, you could troll their stories and start piling dirt on them to bury them. Then they can complain that Digg is being mean to them.
- fullquality, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8Email response I received from Iowa Christian Alliance (I emailed their webmaster). Please give Katie a call. Her voicemail wasn't full when I called.
Our President, Steve Scheffler, is away from his desk for the next several days and will not be able to respond to your email. It is my understanding that these decisions are being made by Iowans for Tax Relief.
I recommend that you contact Katie Koberg with your concerns. She can be reached at 515-875-4936 or kkoberg@taxrelief.org - matador3, on 10/11/2007, -2/+10Anybody that buries this sucks. This is a huge story.
- remaxjon, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8Senior Advisor Ed Failor, Jr.
(announced Jan. 23, 2007) Executive Vice President of Iowans for Tax Relief. Senior political advisor to Gov. George Pataki's 21st Century Freedom PAC (announced June 14, 2006; part of initial leadership team; departure reported Nov. 21, 2006). (loved sword of shannara too btw!) - SwordOfShannara, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7@drstrabismus- yeah Terry Brooks is a good Author- and I loved what the sword stood for. I often wonder what would happen to GWB if he got stuck with it. Same effect I'm sure. It's probably the only thing that can kill him too! ha ;) I guess with reddit I'm a little confused by the comments, they don't seem to be about the article I'm on. It's a little confusing so far. Going to checkout Shoutwire.com now.

- grunk, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6On the Iowans for Tax Relief Website there is a list of sponsors of the debate. Let them know how you feel, too.
- beckweth, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5Very creative.
- tesla921, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6To exclude Ron Paul, absolutely the most ardent advocate of tax relief, from the debate makes your organization (Iowans for Tax Relief) look kind of phony. Whaddaya think???
- KenHowe, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5Ron Paul should be at any forum he wishes to attend. He is an "official" candidate with strong credentials and should not be ignored. Ron Paul is not, however, the darling of any of the elitist groups so we have to expect this treatment for the duration.. We have to grow in new and exciting ways.
- DGHarrison, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5Con sarn it, folks! If you're going to complain to someone and expect him to respect your position, at least spell his name correctly! It's not Sheffler, it's Scheffler -- S-C-H-E-F-F-L-E-R -- with a C. I know you've seen a bunch of messages with the name spelled wrong, but if you'd been observant, you'd have noticed that his e-mail address was slscheffler@iowachristian.com and that should have been a clue for you to check it out.
- mikey90210, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4I called the Des Moines newspaper and their political editor is on vacation for the next week. I think that this was supposed to happen under the radar as far as the people of Iowa were concerned.

- libertas1776, on 10/11/2007, -2/+6Thanks, Tom Woods, for exposing these cockroaches to the light of day. I will call AND email these so-called "christian taxpayer advocates" myself.
- sherlockamj, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Time to make some phone calls.
- NineseveN, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4I sent this to Failor, Koberg and Scheffler (edited the tax stuff out for Scheffler)...
Dear Ms. Koberg,
I am writing to voice my sincere displeasure after finding out that Ron Paul will be excluded from this event without cause or reason. I find it hard to believe that an organization that touts itself as working for "tax relief" could possibly not find favor with the only Presidential candidate that has always voted against tax increases, bloated government bureaucracies, needless spending and pork, the very reasons we Americans are paying such high taxes. The other candidates that you are allowing to participate want to increase spending, so no matter what they say about "tax cuts", taxes will go up under their administrations. However, that is truly beside the point. In the spirit of giving the American people the best possible government, one that they choose, the system must offer real choice, not 9 people saying the same thing only using different buzz words and rhetoric. Ron Paul stands out among the current GOP crop because he is saying something different, something that the American People seem to respond to once his message reaches them. If the GOP and the groups affiliated with it continue to insist on telling me that my only choice is more of the same 9 people saying the same things, my status as a Registered Republican will most assuredly change. I will never, under any circumstances, vote for Bush 2.0 or Bush-Lite; his policies and the failures of his administration with the rest of the GOP parroting the same tripe are what lost us the majority in 2006; offering more of the same garbage will lose the race for 2008. Think on that a bit and perhaps you should reconsider excluding Dr. Paul from this event. We, the People deserve a choice, it's ours to make, so let US decide if Dr. Paul's message is sincere and worthwhile. The non-mainstream candidates depend on forums such as this one and the debates to gain much-needed exposure in order to counter the mountain of wealth and media time that rock-stars like Giuliani receive; cutting any one of them out is nothing short of despicable. Taking such underhanded measures will be the doom of the Republican party.
And BTW, don't bother using the excuse the Dr. Paul isn't showing up in any so-called "scientific polls", according to the most recent Gallup analysis, Ron Paul is currently tied with Tommy Thompson, Sam Brownback and Duncan Hunter and trailing Mike Huckabee and Tom Tancredo by a mere 1%, all of which are invited to the event that you have excluded Dr. Paul from. - brightmidnight, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Coldwell Banker is a real estate company, not a bank.
