- Ferre1, on 04/03/2008, -3/+20Dugg. Not because I'm a Ron Paul voter (I'm Dutch and don't vote in the USA) but because I believe in fair elections where ALL candidates get media attention. The US media acts as if there are only three candidates and that's just plain wrong in my opinion. Mike Gravel and Ron Paul deserve to be heard BEFORE the elections, not silenced by the media, as I have noticed they (the media) are doing. Even Youtube censors Ron Paul and Mike Gravel by excluding them from their candidates page. That's just plain wrong.

- inactive, on 04/05/2008, -1/+9Hold on to those horses, ironman, and don't let them take you off a cliff quite yet. You have been listening to the propaganda of old media and have no idea how the delegate system will work. Do some homework - start with Abraham Lincoln. McInsane only has about half those delegates which are "pledged".
- billyjack1958, on 04/11/2008, -0/+7Have you ever researched Jane Akre vs Fox News? This case which resulted in the FL Supreme Court establishing the precedence that corporate media has no social, moral or legal obligations nor responsibilities to tell the truth even if they are labeling it news. And no, mcbush does not have this locked up.
- Computersleuth, on 04/17/2008, -1/+7Done. Ron Paul is in it to the end.
- kemp34, on 04/17/2008, -1/+7Best presidential candidate in my lifetime.

I have been watching the John Adams series on HBO, when caused me to hit the library and check out many History Channel videos (I have 2 kids so I need max info in short time so I use DVD's).

"Why we fight"
Great stuff.. This is what the USA was supposed to be. I blame Hamilton - nelsonwinters, on 04/11/2008, -0/+4We're a republic not a democracy. There's no mention of democracy in the Declaration of Indepence, the U.S. Constitution, the Bill of Rights or any of the subsequent amendments or the Pledge of Allegiance for that matter. Our voting system was designed to not just be a beauty pageant. It's meant to be participatory and run by delegates. The delegates process requires deeper debate about the issues and active involvement.
- Ironman11, on 04/06/2008, -6/+1Pledged in quotes? Really? So you are saying that these delegates should go against the will of the people in their states and vote for Ron Paul? That's a great way to run a democracy, you're sounding like Hillary Clinton!
Like it or not (and trust me, I don't), McCain's got the nomination. I know enough of how the delegate system works to know that pledged delegates will, with very few exceptions, vote for the candidate they are pledged to. I also know that McCain has 59 times as many delegates as Dr. Paul, just as Huckabee has 12.5 times as many and Romney 12 times as many. This sounds like an open-and-shut case to me. - Ironman11, on 04/05/2008, -12/+1Okay Diggers, lets look at the facts:
John McCain has 1240 pledged delegates. Only 1,191 are needed to win. Ron Paul has a meager 21 pledged delegates. There is no way he can "STILL WIN THE PRIMARY ELECTION!!!" If you are going to donate for Paul, why don't you donate to his House campaign instead of wasting your cash on a newspaper ad for a failed race?
